Best wings in town. The tenderloin is great as well. You could spit 10 wings and the tenderloin with someone and leave very full

Getting progressively worse over time. This place used to be really good, but it hasn’t been keeping that up lately. Putting aside the rocket booty I got from some undercooked wings the last time we went, we decided to try it again last week. My husband ordered the nacho cheese stuffed burger. He took one bite and molten cheese burned the corner of his mouth. This was after letting it rest a while to cool. I am brave — I tried the wings again apparently because I am a risk-taker. They were okay. I don’t understand why they call their mild, mild, because it is still pretty spicy. Because my husband didn’t like the one bite he had, I gave him my wings and took his burger. I took a bite and there was nothing in the burger(cheese wise) so apparently what little cheese that was in it was consumed in one bite by my husband. I pulled the bun off and this burger was BLACK. Sooooo burnt. In addition, we had to get up and go to the bar to refill our pop because the waitress was nowhere to be found. Yikes.

Sorry this place has a great atmosphere but there food is not that good. They have so much on the menu that they don’t have an identity. Need to lighten the menu and make fresher food.

We’ve been here several times and have always had a pretty decent experience. There’s so much on the menu to choose from so let me make it easier for you: GETTHEPORKTENDERLOIN! You’ll die and go to delicious noms heaven! Their tenderloin is about the size of a grown man’s face and every bite is amazing. Their day time staff is a little on the slower side, in terms of service, but the night staff has always been on their A game. Definitely hit this place up. Fairly inexpensive and so, so good.

Been going here for several years and is unfortunately becoming a place I may not return to. Spoke to the waitress about the size of our cheese fries because 2 weeks previous they came on a platter this time they came on a small plate. We were told it depends on who is working in the kitchen to how it is served. What about consistency? Guess you get what you get and don’t throw a fit. Next time I’ll interview the cook before I order so I know what he/she wants me to order!

Enjoyed our dinner here. Very cute décor with old filling station memorabilia. We sat on the patio and had a pleasant server. Beer was good. Two of us shared the pork tenderloin sandwich as it is huge. Almost as big as a dinner plate. It comes with a plate of toppings, cole slaw and fries. Cole slaw was very good, fries are less than average. Overall a good value.

This place has the best breaded wings. I normally don’t care for breaded wings, but this place has figured them out. Most their food is comfort food and the tenderloins are good, but I’ve been told they have good salads also. Decent atmosphere and have a good amount of TVs.

I never had a good experience here. My last time i was here the waitress yelled at us and was a b the rest of the dinner. We did not warrant this treatment. I will never be back because if this. Food sucks every time unless ur the kind of person that like cheap no flavor var food. Wings were avg but all your eating is breading.

No, it’s not a gas station. You can’t get cheap gas here though I wonder if it was a garage at one time. They had garage doors on the front towards their perhaps«patio» seating area. I don’t know. I didn’t spend time researching the history of this place. I just ate lunch here. I have been here a several times with people from work. The guys I work with love this place and always suggested it each time for lunch. To me, it just looked like a neighborhood bar restaurant serving burgers and sandwiches, and it was. What I didn’t know was that their foods were more than decent. I learned from one of the guys that the owner has this place for a very long time and he consistently keeps the food tasty with a fairly low price. Apparently he also loves car and that’s perhaps where the connection was with garages, cars, and such. First time there, one of the guys ordered a fried pork tenderloin sandwich. My jaw was on the floor when it came. It was so huge! They had to beat the shit out of that meat, mhh… pound it I mean, to make it so tender, thin, and large. It was huge! It was probably over a foot in length. I had a bite and it was scrumptious! I love pork tenderloin and schnitzel in general and this one was a treat. It made my salad with grilled chicken tasted like nothing. I had that pork tenderloin in my head till now. It was like having a crush on some hot sexy guy that you can’t get him off your mind. Except. This one is pounded pork, breaded, and deep fried. The next time, I ordered the grilled pork tenderloin. WTF is wrong with me? I was such an idiot. I wanted to be healthier and frankly, I was embarrassed attacking meat that large. It’s never good for any lady. Of course, the grilled version was nowhere as good though it was pretty tasty, and it was also much smaller. This last time, I had The Filling Station Burger. I just followed my coworker’s lead as again. I didn’t have the gall to order the monster sandwich. I was like. simple burger sounded good. When it came, it had bacons, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and fried egg. It was huge and not at all simple. When I got my burger I couldn’t help to moan«Holy Shit!» Yeah, this place sucked the lady out of you right out time and time again. The burger was awesome! I think I just fell in love with egg in burger. I never tried it before as to me it was such an indulgence and added calories when you already eating something like a burger. However, I understood now why my dad loves it so much and get it every time we went to Red Robin. Well, I still have the pork tenderloin in mind. Huge crush. Still afraid saying hey and break the ice. It was intimidating. I’m still scared. Maybe next time I work up the courage. Maybe…

The food was alright. The service wasn’t that great. Server would come right after the food was delivered and would take forever to come back. Orders weren’t correct and their peppercorn sauce was watery. Regular fries needs work on them because they were very bland.

Filling station has changed, and not for the better. What used to be the best wings in town are now an overpriced mess. They are always soggy and oversauced. Service is terrible. Our server took food off the table and threw it away without asking if we were done or wanted boxes. Only reason it gets Two stars instead of one is because the tenderloin was good. Half of it anyway, the half I got to eat before the server stole it and threw it away. Won’t be going back any time soon.

My stars go to the server who kept my drink full. The food was not good. I felt like they took things that were normally greasy and found a way to inject more grease. This cuisine is killing people I’m sure.

This place has been busy every time I have been back to Davenport. I like it every time, it delivers EXACTLY what I expect each time… bar food and cold beer. True mix of people at the place, its not a place to be seen just hang with your people.

Good food, nice waitresses. Nice price, mixed drinks were awful and come in tiny glasses. And there is always a wait. But I would eat & drink here again without a second thought.

The service was great, came to the table right away, came back with our drinks quickly. The food not so much, the mushroom swiss burger was good, but the french dip was lacking, skimping on the meat. It was put together wrong with the cheese on the bottom in stead of on top. The meat on top was dried out.

Always a good meal. Great atmosphere and drinks! Love the boneless wings and o-rings. Their medium sauce is more like hot at other restaurants. One of our favorites in the QCA.

Terrific atmosphere. Close enough to my apartment for me to stumble home if needed. The menu is huge. Wings can’t be beat, drinks are great and the staff is always really nice. If you’re looking for a hearty sandwich that’s unique and one of the best around, look no further than the«Jacked Up Tenderloin Sandwich» at the Filling Station.

Great wings! Full bar and good beers on tap. Parking can be tough during sand Volleyball season and peak eating times.

The Filling Station straddles the fence of being a bar with food and a restaurant that has a bar… so much so that it is hard to give a rating in comparison to other places. This, however, is what attracted me to this place. It is a unique local spot that is worth a try if you go in with the understanding that it is a drinking establishment and the food is bar food(despite having a fairly large menu); if you were to expect a casual family friendly atmosphere you may be disappointed, unless your family likes a semi-sports/college type bar atmosphere. Personally, that seems to suit me from time to time. I actually made myself return a second time prior to writing this review because my first experience was so strangely mixed that I didn’t even know what to think. For example, the first time I went, the server was awful; she was rude, inattentive, sat on her phone while we were waiting for refills, and in the end, gave us the ticket for another table. The second time we went, the server was great. Also, the first time I tried The Filling Station, someone had vomited in a urinal and there was all sorts of nasty all over the floor. I informed the server that the bathroom needed some attention, yet no-one ever decided to remedy this situation prior to us leaving. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case the second time around. The food is ok. That’s all I really have to say about it. The ribs should be skipped, the Reuben is pretty good(but a little skimpy on meat), the pizza burger is worth a try. The Filling Station uses very familiar/standard food products that you will find in most bar and grills.(likely the same distributor). The portions are all fairly large and the price is very reasonable. The one thing that I do recommend are the wings. I’m fairly particular about wings and like having a multitude of option. Breaded, unbreaded, different levels of heat and different flavors, these are things that I enjoy about wings. This is where The Filling Station does a really good job and I agree with all the reviews I’ve read that this is a great alternative to the standard chain wing joints. So, with that said, if you are a college student or enjoy that old college town sports pub and grill sort of feel, I’d certainly recommend giving The Filling Station a try. The menu is large enough that you’ll probably find something you like and hopefully you’ll experience the clean and friendly atmosphere I found(the second time around) and not vomit cakes in the urinal(literal and metaphorical) as I did the first time. I think the two sort of cancelled eachother out.
