Based upon the Unilocal feature I decided to try this place. Not having many breakfast choices in Weston it was a relief to try something new. There was a wait, quoted 15 – 20 minutes, we were sat in 5. The place is a buzz of activity with nearly 8 – 10 servers working the entire places which is not that big. I soon understood why. Very good food, and very reasonable prices. Everything is clearly made fresh from scratch, and if it’s not they tell you, like«fresh» corned beef hash on weekends only. The service is the star! Cindy our server treated us like old family friends. There was none of the nonsense of this is my table, not yours, among the staff. It was clearly a group effort with one goal in mid, excellent service. Not a water glass or coffee cup went unfilled. Servers routinely met people at the door when the hostess was busy and took names while they were shuttling from table to table. Everyone ran food and cleared tables. Happy smiling faces all around. There is an old Italian expression which translates to «it is more important who is in the seats than what is on the table». They get that here. I’m holding 1 star till I go back and try more food!

Ally, thank you. Thank you for making our Sunday morning a beautiful beginning to our carb loading vacation with your sausage gravy and gourmet Swiss cake roll disguised as breakfast. Our only disappointment was that our bellies have given up before we finished all your food.

The food is very good– I’ll start with that. That said, my scrambled eggs had a bite or two that were not cooked all the way through(raw whites to be specific, which I’m really not a fan of). The blueberry pancakes were HUGE and delicious. The wait on a weekend was very long, and it’s a little confusing that the hostess stand is all the way at the back of the restaurant instead of near the entrance. The service was rushed but it was PACKED. My first cup of coffee was delivered with some piece of paper towel stuck to the inside of the cup but they quickly replaced it. Didn’t matter really since the coffee was so bitter no amount of cream and sugar could save it so I didn’t really drink any of it(I recommend passing on the coffee there). My boyfriend enjoyed his dish, the country fried steak and eggs.

Great food wonderful service super nice people. Best patatoe pancakes I have ever tasted they only serve on the weekends so don’t ask. I do not care for grits, but here they are out of this world.

AWESOME breakfast place, glad I came across it! I came into town for the Blackhawks vs. Panthers game, and found this restaurant in an online search. I got the one-by-one-by-one, and the pancake was bigger than my head(see attached picture). Staff was very friendly, and service was quick. I like the little decorations around on the windowsill(also see attached picture). Delicious food and fantastic service = I’d happily come back here if I’m ever in town again.

Very good breakfast, with lots of specials in addition to typical fare. Crowded on Saturday morning, they take names and it’s very orderly. Super friendly servers, yummy homemade potato pancakes, decent omelet(more of a scramble, but full of fillings). Reasonable priced, clean bathroom. Don’t hesitate to try it.

Food was great, we were seated quickly. It’s a bit noisy because tables are close together. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

I’m never really one to write down reviews(maybe this will jumpstart my efforts lol), but their food here was amazing. Considering the fact that my parents and I are always looking for a breakfast/brunch place, it’s tough to find one out West unless you’re down to settle for your typical IHOP. A buddy and I just finished the Flanigan’s Rockin’ Rib 10k and we needed a spot to grub. Ally’s was perfect. I’m really big on customer service and the staff/employees here were amazing. Despite how busy the small restaurant got, our servers and waitresses were very interacting and always assured we were receiving great service. The food was just as great. I was suggested to order their Monte Cristo, which was amazing and all the more filling. I’ve never been huge on grits, but Ally’s made me turn a new leaf of appreciation. The french toast was delicious. The portions were great and we were able to share some too. I’ll surely be taking my folks here in the coming days. P. S. word on the street is their potato pancakes are clutch.

7÷19÷2015 — WERUNFORFOOD, that is the #SecretRunBreakfastClub MOTTO. After a 5k hill run at Vista View, we were looking for a place to chow down. After researching on Unilocal, we decided to come here. The hostess greeted us and sat us right away. The café is small but so charming. Our waitress came right away, handed us menus and asked for our drink order. One of my friends ordered coffee. The cup of coffee is huge, and the coffee was good! No fancy lattes here. The have some breakfast specials, I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant,(you can order it on toast or bagel) with coffee. My 3 friends all ordered the western omelets with coffee and a side. They are very affordable. The food came right away. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they have a system, they move tables really fast. Serving, clean up and payment was a breeze, all without feeling pushed to get out.

You walk in the door to Ally’s and it is instantly comfortable. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is like an eclectic home. There are nooks and crannies with kitschy artifacts and silly signs. Our waitress even told us that Ally was in the kitchen making our food from scratch every day. There IS a real Ally. I had the open face Turkey Sandwich with the mashed potatoes. It is noted as a favorite on the menu and it deserved its favorite status. The generous portion of turkey was roasted perfectly and i really enjoyed the home style mashed potatoes(lumps included) The Turkey came with either«turkey gravy» or «brown gravy». I opted for both, on the side, so that I could figure out which one I thought was better. Shockingly, I liked the turkey gravy and my Thanksgiving style feast was complete(the brown gravy was good too but the name alone makes it far less appealing). After being well served by a waitress who kindly split our checks we were able to get back to work in less than an hour. In case you are wondering the tryptophan won and made focusing on spreadsheets a little more difficult for the rest of the afternoon.

Ally’s is hands down one of the best breakfast and lunch cafes to be visited in the tri-county area. I can honestly tell you I have never had a bad dish here, and I have eaten there many, many times namely because at one point, I lived just a few miles away. Authentic home cooking is the trademark here, and while there are a good variety of items of brunch fare to be had, anyone who knows this restaurant and it’s sister, Ally’s Comfort Café, Too, knows that their strongest point is the pancakes. On weekends, be prepared to wait for a little bit as most locals know of this place and hit it regulary and swear it to be their favorite daytime café. True to their incredible stride and rhythm, they manage to keep a good flow going and keep the wait times relatively low. To give an idea of just how serious they are about their pancake action, I will take the time to tell you about three kinds offered by Ally’s. The first is a menu staple and from best this writer can tell, a flagship item(but then again all of their p-cakes are) called the«All In One» which is a pancake with a fried egg inside of it as well as bits of bacon throughout. It is a thoroughly addictive pancake that any breakfast fan will surely love. The second(and to some other Ally-cats, should be the first) are the potato pancakes. so valuable are these crispy golden delicacies, that they are only served on weekend service and if you arrive too far past noon, may be found in short supply. Another variation is the Ally’s Benedict which is the potato pancakes with a slice of tomato and a hollandaise sauce. The third(and also to even more other Ally-cats, should be the first) are the weekend special pancakes whose incredible flavors have included Boston Crème, Hawaiian, Red Velvet, Oatmeal Raisin, and my all time personal favorite(which I still look for on the weekly weekend menu emails I receive) Orange Cremecicle. Pancakes are far from the only thing served here, as the sandwiches are a whole seperate review. This unassuming, charming little café nestled in a strip mall at 136th&595 is undoubtedly one of the safest bets for breakfast and lunch you will find in SoFla.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now. I’m so glad I finally did! Hubby and I had breakfast there this morning. I had the breakfast panini with Serrano ham. It was perfectly made and tasted delicious with the recommended Chile salsa that Allys husband makes from scratch. It’s HOT so if you can’t take it… well you might not like it but we loved it. My husband had the Farmers omelet and loved it. We could not resist the pancake special which was Apple turnover short stack. Need less to say we had left overs. The waitress Lonna was great and very friendly and even gave me some salsa to take home. She made our first visit extra special. We will most definitely be back!

I am a huge breakfast fan and an ever HUUUU-GER pancake fan. I am also a fan of mom n pops places where they recognize you even if they don’t…although me and hubby are clearly known as «those two» most places we go. Lol. The service here is warm and fuzzy. It’s a small space. Be prepared to get cozy with strangers as you enjoy your meal in direct earshot of their conversations sitting in the middle rows of tables. Actually, we’ve met some nice folks… Ppl need to get past the stereotypes and find out about others for themselves… It might actually be a better world if you personally knew who you thought you didn’t like… Ok, off my soap box. Lol. The menu is extensive enough, but I never really get past that specials board, particularly on the weekends when they ROKK that board with amazing delish fancy PANCAKES, oh and other stuff… Lol. Prepare for the long wait on the weekends… Bring a book or a Kindle or a DS for your gamers. Or say hi to someone else who is waiting… You may have to share their coffee creamer later. Definitely worth the wait.

I went to Ally’s for the first time last week. I was with my sister who lives locally & she suggested going to Ally’s for lunch. After seeing such great reviews from Rebecca U., Joan L & Blue A., I was excited to give Ally’s a shot. My sister(Jodi C.) also gave them a five star review so I knew we would have a great lunch because we have very similar taste in food. Located in an older strip center, walking into Ally’s was a breath of fresh air. It is just a cute, homey & casual restaurant that is open for breakfast & lunch only. They are open from 7am –2pm during the week & on Saturday & Sunday they open at 8am & close at 2pm. My sister and dad ordered the Syd’s Favorite. OMG, how can I explain this delicious dish without making it sound like food porn? They take eggs and mix it with loads of ooey gooey American cheese and then they add grilled caramelized onions & then they cook it. Not scrambled and not like an omelet but more like a scrambled omelet. I know that does not make sense but it was so incredibly amazing and had so much flavor that how the eggs are prepared is irrelevant. My sister always orders this and she asked our server to go easy on the cheese & I am happy she did because there was still so much cheesy deliciousness and it was just perfect the way it was. When I was a little girl my Nana used to make me Matzo Brei during the Passover holiday. When I saw this on the menu I knew I had to order it. Matzo Brei means Matzo & egg fried together. Ally’s did not disappoint & they prepared it just like my Nana’s. I shared this with my sister and she shared her Syd’s Favorite with me. Everything was excellent. My eight year old nephew said he wanted a «real lunch» & ordered the kids burger. He seemed to enjoy it and had no complaints. The menu has something for everyone. Sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads, quesadillas, soup & they serve all different kinds of pancakes. The Boston Cream Pie pancakes look so good… maybe next time. We had Sam as our server. Even though she was«training» she gave us exceptional service. The prices are extremely fair and parking is easy. To sum up the food in one word that word would be Yummy. Without a doubt, Ally’s is one of the best places around for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Enjoy!
