UPDATE: My iPhone 5 USB cable turned out to be not as cool as I thought it was. It broke less than a few weeks after I bought it. I called the store and spoke to Mauricio, who seemed to remember me and said it was no problem and to bring it back for another one– so I did. Sadly, within less than a few weeks the second cable died as well.
I was frustrated and it wasn’t worth it to me to drive back for another; I just tossed the cable into a drawer I have that’s full of electronic odds & ends and forgot about it. Until I just came across it now, which prompted me to update my review.
I ended up going to Target and purchasing two USB cables — one for my car & one for the house — and both have been going strong since. Additionally, neither one has ever given me the error message of «this accessory is not supported by Apple» which both cables from here did.
Bottom line: skip the USB the cables from here.
