The best pizza I have had in Davie top quality ingredients. The pizza is New York style and actually is closest thing to ny pizza I have had in Florida.

I was traveling through Fort Lauderdale for work and needed dinner after a long day. The Unilocal hours said they were closing soon but I called and they said they’d be staying open later. Their website was down so I drove in to see the menu and place an order for carry out. It might be the best calzone I’ve ever had. Fresh tomato sauce, perfect amounts of ricotta and mozzarella, nicely seasoned meats. It was about $ 7 and huge. The front of house staff are all charming young ladies. Everyone was accommodating with me coming in after closing time, and they offered me the option to dine in. Delivery orders were still flying out the door near midnight. The ambiance is not fine dining, but if you’re looking for an Italian restaurant with great food and a fun atmosphere? You really can not go wrong here.

I would change the name to Davies ok pizza. It’s a little better than papa johns, dominos, Pizza Hut, etc. I’ll go back to delvecchios, pizza loft, and espositos.

Mark A. craves for pizza(again), and so we find yet another pizza joint to try. Small, no frills place with TVs so we can still keep up with our college football. :) We ordered a small meat lovers’. It didn’t take too long to come out, but I was a bit disappointed in its size. I know it says 10″, but I guess I’m pretty bad at estimating. Don’t get me wrong, though. It was a good pizza. I liked the crust and the garlic butter sauce that came with it for dipping.(So unhealthy, but so good!) It was just hard for me to sign $ 16(includes tip) for such a small pizza.

I came here for lunch because of course Unilocal dragged me here. Anyways, I saw that they had a lunch special with baked ziti, garlic rolls and a meat ball for 6.99, and on top of that I’m a cheapo and want as much as I can get for my buck lol. The food was actually really good and the garlic rolls are toooo die for. Probably best garlic rolls I’ve ever had. The only thing I didn’t like was that they were wrapped in a plastic bag and one of the rolls soaked up all the oil? Took a bite and all the oil poured into my mouth. Ew! I know that’s out of the restaurants control so I’ll still give you 5 stars. Been dying to try their pizza, so I’ll be back!

The calzone I ordered was disgusting and bland with so much ricotta but had no flavor. Very upset because was in the mood for a tasty meal and what I got was far from that. I also got garlic rolls which were excellent this is why they’re getting 3 stars. I ordered chicken wings which I had to throw in the oven to be cooked a little longer. If I ever eat here again then I’d try the pizza. But again garlic rolls are delicious!

The 2 stars is because the people who work there seemed very warm and friendly. They acknowledged us as soon as we stood in front of the counter and held the door for us. The food is not good. Period. It was such a let down. Hubby is bummed. I just wasted our money. I don’t care if they do have great lunch prices — this is the food you’d have to eat, so where’s the bargain? This is not ‘authentic’ Italian food — the Davie’s Best Appetizer had french fries — what the hell? It also had 2 off-white, mushy, breaded strips of white meat chicken — 1 of which had hard cartilage on the edge(I took the breading off to give the chicken to our dogs). The mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli were likely from a plastic bag from the McCain company — barely mediocre. The pizza had so much oil that as I lifted a slice towards me, two fat drops of oil splashed on my shirt. Hubby took to using napkins to dry off his slice. The edge of the slice was crisp, and pretty good. Hubby called the rest of the slice ‘rubbery’ — I agree. The sauce was good. the cheese was greasy. I ordered a side of spaghetti with garlic and oil. I intended on adding fresh Brussels sprouts to it. When we got home, I made the veg and put the pasta on top. I added some grated cheese and figured I was good to go. The spaghetti had NOTONEBITOFGARLIC. Do you know how you get pasta with thin slivers of browned garlic? Well not here. While we tasted garlic it was either infused in the oil or a powder. We suspect that the garlic flavored oil that they serve with the pizza — because that’s what their pizza needs, more oil — is likely what they use to flavor the spaghetti. I’ve given up on zeppoles in Florida. I grew up eating the real deal, particularly in Little Italy during the Feast of San Genaro. Those memories of fat, fluffy warm crispy dough covered with powdered sugar will have to last me. Because tonight we got dense rectangles of undercooked, rubbery dough with powdered sugar. Hubby said it was like eating erasers. Not even close. We threw out everything except for the 2 pieces of chicken for the dogs and the spaghetti because the oil will flavor the Brussels sprouts and hopefully taste better tomorrow. I don’t think they really cook here as much as they serve Cheney Brothers prepared ingredients and McCain frozen food. Bellini, I know you serve authentic Italian food and our quick dashes to local places only serve to remind us that we’d be so much happier driving to your restaurant in Weston instead.

Ordered a medium Hawaiian pizza for delivery, which ended up being over $ 21(plus tip). Although the pizza was good, the price seemed a bit steep for 8 slices. Oh, well.

I received a free coupon designated for a medium 2-topping pizza through the mail. I ordered a cheese pizza and ½ a dozen garlic rolls as when I called to place my order to also order a side of buffalo shrimp, the order taker told me that they did not have it and was a typo on the menu. When the order taker answered the phone, she immediately told me «please hold» no hello thank you for calling. Anyways the pizza was greasy. Those were the worst garlic rolls I ever had. It was completely drowned in oil. It tasted like plain rolls just dipped in oil. I forgot to take a pic of it because I ended up throwing it all out. Overall I’m so glad I only had to pay for the rolls because this was not a good first impression.

Another place I found because of the GREAT Unilocal reviews! I was craving a Sicilian slice of pizza but there weren’t any slices made so I opted for a slice of sausage pizza. My boyfriend ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of meatball pizza. We also shared an order of 3 garlic rolls. The pizza slices were HUGE and it was everything more than I expected. Usually when I order pizza by the slice, I have to tell them well done. Well not this place, the pizza was well done and it wasn’t burnt, which was a plus. The toppings on the pizza were big and I like the fact that they were actually slices of toppings not balls of toppings. The garlic rolls had nice flavors of garlic and butter — perfect combination of flavors. The man who was serving us was really friendly, I think he may have been the owner. He informed us they have been there for about a year — I wish I found this place sooner. Usually I head to Primanti’s in Sunrise for a slice of pizza but I just claimed this restaurant as my favorite pizza. I can’t wait to try other dishes on their menu, everything looks good and I can’t wait to head back.

A new place for me to check out in Davie. A unique quick pizza place with a New York style flare. The crust was Cooked perfect the toppings were fresh and plentiful especially the margitta pizza. The garlic rolls are a must but bring some after dinner mints. What was surprising is that the service was awesome. The gals that took care of us had to be no more than 17 years old if that. However, they acted like season pros, with great manners and service. The reason I did not give it a five star is that the pizza was some what greasy. We had the Greek, meat lovers, and margitta pizza all had a pool of grease. I will definitely order out in the future. Enjoy.

Pizza slices, nothing to get too excited or too fancy about right? Well if said slices are served custom order, or if the restaurant serves you two different kind of pizza slices I will say that is a reason to get excited. While up and about in Davie, I was looking for a casual place to eat yet not get too full before the super bowl. I wasn’t looking too GQ either so it had to be somewhere informal. Pizza Bar showed up near where I was and besides a little sports trash talk for my Dolphins shirt(owners are Giants fans, the nerve of them :)) I got great service. Their menu seems to cover all the Italian American specialties, and plenty of craft beers. I asked, and was told they could mix and match slices. My caprese/Margherita slice was hot, crispy, with fresh tomato slices, melted mozzarella and a nice spread of pizza sauce. The Hawaiian slice didn’t disappoint either, with a good spread of ham and pineapple slices. They also have free soda refills, perfect for lunch. Definitely a good find, and I know where to go for pizza in the 954.

I heard about this place from a friend and was really excited to try it. It definitely lived up to my expectations of a local pizza place. The pizza is filled with super fresh ingredients and baked to perfection. I am a huge pizza fanatic and this place is definitely made me a fan. I had the Buffalo chicken pizza which had a ton of chicken on it and was made with Crystal hot sauce. If you love pizza and wings, you will love this pizza. I also highly recommend the garlic rolls, they are soooooo good. Overall, if you’re a local looking for a new pizza place or happen to be in the area, I highly recommend this pizza place.

I found a new pizza place for lunch! I am one of those people that loves different styles of pizza. I love a couple places in the area, but I wanted to try something different that is still great. So, today I took a chance on Davie’s Best. I was pleasantly surprised. This pizza is actually pretty good, and it tastes completely different than the other two places I frequent. They put in a small container of garlic butter, and I dipped the end in it. Buttery! I recommend doing this if you are having a rough time gaining weight. You’ll be up a few pounds after a few days of dipping in that sauce! You’re welcome. Now back to the pizza. It is thin crust pizza, but it works well with a couple toppings. I had mushrooms and sausage, and I thought both toppings were perfect. Fresh mushrooms, and the sausage had good flavor and texture. The sauce was good, and there was something different about it, but I can’t figure out what just yet. The servers were nice. They offered me plates and napkins on my first visit, which usually doesn’t happen. I usually have to ask if they have them for to go orders. They also gave me a menu, which reminds me. I had planned to order the Ziti lunch special, but I saw the reviews here mentioning the pizza was good, and I changed my mind. I will definitely plan on the ziti next time. =)

Yum like super good amazing pizza one of the best in a South Florida so far! After reading the reviews I thought I’de give it a try. On a Friday night it must’ve been busy. It can get really busy and I’ve waited 8 minutes on hold before placing a to-go order :( I Ordered a large Additional Topping: Mushroom cheese pizza and 10 wings to go, they said the delivery time would be 45 minutes. Total 25 $ This was worth the wait! The mushrooms were big chunks all over the pizza even so falling off the slices as you bite. The sauce generous too and tasty. The cheese it quite good itself too. *I ordered this pizza again and the mushrooms were thinner slices :(consistency changes here. The Prices are really great a large cheese is 13 $ toppings additional charge. They have really yummy sounding combinations of pizza like Cheeseburger, or Taco pizza. Got to try their Garlic rolls, they were good, typical pizza place real chunks of garlic on the rolls. The wings were okay. Not huge either. These are Naked — no breading, and the medium sauce wasn’t spicy, it was quite oily. I think they’re frozen wings deep fried cause the meat is a lil dry. The blue cheese sauce tasted like ranch with chunks of Blue Cheese in it. They came with fresh cut celery which was nice too. I’de order from Davie’s Best Pizza Bar again. Great Pizza, Delvecchio’s pizza is more consistent and better in my opinion.
