SUPEREXPENSIVE/OVERPRICED I will NEVER go back to this very unprofessional eye doctor! I told him more than once(more than 5 times) I DONOTWANTDAILYLENSES. He must get compensated from the manufacturer because I ended up with Daily’s. I told him the reasons I didn’t want daily’s but he insisted they were right for me. He told me how I would not have to carry lens water with me when I travel then proceeded to tell me I could wear the lens for 2 days. Using air quotes!(Which I’m sure the manufacturer would not appreciate.) The daily’s are meant to wear for one day and they are expensive so I told him NO; I don’t want them because of the price so that gave him a cue to tell me…“you can wear them for two days” but not three. OK, well, I don’t want them. He kept on. Then his story fell apart about not having to carry lens water but I guess I’m the only one that mentioned that to him because he seemed to realize I was right but still HEKEPTON. AGAIN, I told him I do not want daily’s.(My daughter has them and she does not like them.) He told me not to sleep in them, even for a nap. Since I travel, I need a nap now and then; but I have to take them out just to take a 30 minute nap. I thought I made it clear to him that I DONOTWANTDAILY’S! I flew out of town and couldn’t see a thing and my eyes hurt. The prescription was not correct so I called him and he mailed me a different pair. I wore them for the rest of my trip(about 3 weeks) and when I returned to So. Fla. I went to see him. As it turned out… he had sent me DAILY’S and prescribed DAILY’S for me after all and I wore them for 3 weeks! So, he just does what he wants and not what his patients desire. If you want a CREEPY eye doctor that doesn’t listen to you then he is the one for you. So, my advice is to stay far away from Dr. Kimmelman’s office.

I actually didn’t have such a bad experience like everyone else on here. I actually really liked the doctor, he was very helpful and his personality was very funny and the best part is my glasses and contacts were ready in 3 days. Yeah the prices are expensive but wouldn’t you want to invest in really good glasses anyway?

Worst business/businessman ever. Brought my six year old child to this shop to get her first pair of glasses. Kind of a big deal to parent and child. Customer service was insulting… for poor selection and overpriced frames. Utterly disgusting. The proprietor is a real pos and should lose his license. Should be ashamed of himself. Gives his profession and his business a horrible reputation. Embarrassing. Had no regard for her need of corrective lenses. Avoid this shop with everything you have. Needless to say he lost a customer here. And what’s with the cage door entrance??? This is not a bad neighborhood. Truly a laughing stock. Go elsewhere…

Because of the fantastic frame selection and proximity to my house, I’ve been coming to Kimmelman for years. This isn’t because he’s an outstanding doctor. This isn’t because I feel like I can see things more clearly(ha!) after each visit. This is purely because they have an outstanding selection of frames on offer. And yes, if you don’t have insurance, you’ll practically have to refinance your house to afford a pair. When anyone in my family is due for an annual, we always have a good laugh about«going to see Kimmelman.» You really have to have tough skin to handle his blunt attitude and recommendations, or else you’ll feel like you’re doomed. This, of course, is definitely not an ideal feeling to have when you see a doctor, but like I said, if it wasn’t for the frames, I would obviously go elsewhere. My most recent visit a few weeks ago also exposed me to another side of him and his staff. I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t feel like committing to purchase a pair of frames, and once they figured out that I wasn’t going to «use my benefit,» as it was labelled, they blew me off. Completely. I even felt awkward asking for him to write my prescription down, and although he did so, it was definitely with animosity. I ended up ordering contacts from them a few days later, as it was convenient and the same price as online, and they mailed me my old prescription :/Thankfully I have enough on hand to last me, as I’m still waiting for the proper box to arrive. All this being said, I think my last experience was enough to make me finally part ways with the doc down the street.

TERRIBLE!!! The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that it has a nice appearance. Other than that, they eye doctor is rude and disrespectful! I specifically said I have been using Acuvue Oasys but he insisted on changing me to a brand called Clarity which have made my eyes very irritated. I didn’t receive my prescription so I had to call back and of course instead of sending it to me, he asked me a thousand questions in a rude tone to avoid sending me the prescription since he probably figured I was trying to purchase them elsewhere to avoid returning until I begged him and told him I was going out of town for my birthday and needed to get them asap. The FIRST reason I will never return: He asked why I’ve never purchased glasses as a backup and asked how I couldn’t afford them if I had a LV purse!!! This man is crazy and dominating. If you see this place, run for your life.

Horrible customer service. It takes them about 30 minutes or so to acknowledge a customer, wait time is worse than a doctors office. The staff lacks respect and does not know how to communicate with customers in a respectful manner; one in specifically Nicole. This is a professional environment and clearly Nicole lacks customer skills. I do not recommend this place. I definitely will not be going back. I rather pay twice the money than ever return.
