I had actually been wanting to go to this place for a long while. I love NY style pizza, and I had heard nothing but good things about their pizza. The pizza was indeed delicious but I’ll get to that later. The décor was nice, it was casual and inviting. The service was crazy good. When I walked in with my wife, my wife was talking to me about how her phone was dying. The host literally said«I’m sorry if I overheard you, but we can offer you a charger». That’s a very nice thing for them to do, a big plus. When we sat down, we examined the menu and were enticed by all the selections. I didn’t want to get carried away(as I normally do when I find a new place) so we ordered a Margherita pizza as an appetizer and I ordered chicken piccata with fettuccine alfredo. Omg… everything was so delicious! The pizza was light and tasty. They brought over some fresh parmesan, without even having to request it. It was delicious, the sauce was sweet and popped with flavor. The crust is thin and you can easily tell they make their own dough. I normally don’t eat the crust because I wanna make room for toppings(I know, the pizza debate) but I actually ate the crust. Not a big deal i know, but uncharacteristic for me. The chicken was ridiculously good, I mean seriously good. I can recommend this place wholeheartedly and without the slightest reservation. Even my wife(who tends to be picky and not ever fired up about restaurants) said these guys easily deserved 5 stars. We will have to go back because we didn’t stick around for the after dinner fare, and we really wanted to too… oh well, someday soon I hope lol. We actually ordered two pizzas to go, one for me and one for our kid that didn’t get to go with us. It’s very hard for a place to be perfect, but this place was close. If I had to offer one suggestion however: the pizzas are great and light. The one we ordered was $ 8 which is reasonable. The problem comes in with how light it is. For $ 8, I can get a pizza at a pizza chain that would be larger and much more filling. The taste wouldn’t get anywhere near Piolas, but it’s just worth a thought. Maybe make the pizzas bigger? Really just a thought because everything was impeccable otherwise. What are you waiting for? Stop reading and get over there already! :)

This is my go to spot for pizza! It has a great atmosphere and is open later than most restaurants in this area. The pizzas come out rather quickly and are nice and crispy and they even have a whole wheat option for the dough. their Lisbona pizza is… amazing. And the staff is very friendly. Love it and will for sure be back, time and time again!

There are a few Piola restaurants spread throughout South Florida. But this location on Sheridan street is by far the best for a few reasons. Not only is the food amazing but the service is impeccable. Once seated a server is quick to attend your table with a proper introduction. They are quick, polite, and welcoming. I have also noticed that all of the servers are knowledgeable of the menu and which dishes are most popular. If you are in the area be sure to visit Anna and her incredible staff at Piola of Davie. You will not be dissapointed!

Looking for somewhere to get a quick bite we came into piola because it had 4 out of 5 stars. This would be an excellent choice on our part. From the hostess to the waiter the service was excellent. We wanted something light but they kept talking up their all you can eat gnocchi for 15.99. After we got our drinks I made the decision to order the gnocchi and it was fantastic. All of the different sauces were terrific my favorite being the four cheese. Our waiter Lucas was absolutely fantastic. He made our first time experience a blast. This is a definitely a place to try. If you go ask for Lucas. We will be back many more times for sure

Early bird specials on pizza and it’s always fresh. Gourmet pizza thats always delicious and I especially like the pepperoni topping; its cut thick and spicy. Meatball appetizer is great too. Very affordable and awesome for the family.

Pizza was great! Not over cooked or soggy. The Bruschetta was very good and the tomatoes were fresh. I would definitely come back.

Love the place. Food is delish and high quality. Manager often comes to the table to check on customers. All the food, salads, pizzas, pasta is amazing. Nutela pizza is my kids favorite. Service is 5 stars. Today our server Fernando made it extra special. Super friendly and polite!!!

Not at all impressed. While the actual thin crust is good, the cheese lacks flavor of any kind. Think about a tasteless pizza! There’s no fresh parm on the table to add some much needed saltiness. Weird pizza choices and you can’t really build your own. I wanted mushrooms on mine, they only have sautéed mushrooms with chantrelle tops that are spongy when melted into the cheese. Totally grossed out by that texture and I love mushrooms. I’m not sure what the great stars are about. I was utterly disappointed. I think some of the«great» reviews are written by teens who don’t know the difference between a Tombstone pizza from the freezer and this sad display. This was a waste of calories. Anthony’s is much better.

I have been here several times but the last time I came I was not impressed with their service. I walked in with my daughter for a quick lunch, they told me there was no table available and the wait would be 20 min in spite of me seeing there were unoccupied tables. Did not make much sense. Love to eat at Piola, food is awesome, I am a repeat customer but now I will think twice before going there.

Very disappointed. I ordered a spinach pizza with No cheese. This is what I was served on December 8, 2015. Yes, this was what they presented me as a spinach Pizza with no cheese! It is very sparse on the sauce and Extremely sparse on the spinach, GETTHIS, THEYEVENHADTHE B LLS, to charge me extra for the spinach! Very, Very disappointed. Will NOT return.

Came here for an Italian food craving and was quite satisfied. Piola is located in a nice quiet plaza next to Cinemark 24. When I went in for lunch, it was just a couple families and businessmen on their lunch break. The inside ambiance is really nice with colorful lamps hanging from the ceiling and spacious booths and tables. You can see the open kitchen where they bake the pizza. The epitome of fresh out the oven. Ordered the Copenhagen pizza because my mom was in the mood for white pizza. Having pizza without tomato sauce is an entirely different experience. You can really taste the cheese and smoked salmon without it being hidden by the tomato sauce. The pizzas were also not too heavy. Also had a free margarita pizza from a Unilocal check in offer! Had a tiramisu for dessert. It was decent at most. Mostly just sweet. Would’ve enjoyed more espresso flavor. They have lunch specials! A small pizza/pasta & salad for $ 9.99~ Servers were attentive and friendly.

I have visited a few Piola locations(SoBe and Hallandlae), and they have now even locations on South America. I liked this location because it is close to home, not crowded and nice. Drinks and food are solid like in most Piola’s but the service here is really nice too. Salads were great as was our capricciosa pizza and tagliatelli pasta with excellent bolognese sauce. Love their lime caipiroscas too!.and cheap!

So, I went here for lunch this Last week with a friend. She had been here a couple times but this was my first time. For a Tuesday it was very quiet and we were one of the first to sit down. Atmosphere is really pretty casual and upon entering I felt that chain restaurant vibe. The staff were pretty good and took order and then were asking if I needed a to go box before I was even finished. I probably would have had coffee but didn’t feel like it after being rushed. I ordered a pizza that was really quite good. Kind of like the kind you get in Italy with very little red sauce. My friend ordered the lasagna. She said she enjoyed. One con was that the music was way too loud. Made me feel crazy. Probably not gonna go back. Meh I’ve had better. Will keep trying. Forgot to mention in my review that they have a «ladies night» during the weeks too. I’ve heard there’s dancing.

Great Italian spot! Very cute for a date night or a night out with friends. Their food is really good. We had a white pizza and the Chicken Parmesan. Both are enough to share so we had plenty of leftovers(we were only 2). From what I read on their signs, they offer a great happy hour and also ladies night on Wednesdays. They are located near the movie theatre, have a full bar, and outside seating. Can’t wait to revisit and take some friends and try another pizza.

Amazing! I highly recommend their pizza! Piola’s pizza is for one person and made thin, with the perfect combination of chewy and crispy. I came with a small group of people and ordered the Italia and Margherita pizza as an appetizer. It was so delicious! We ordered: Gnocchi Legnano: first time having gnocchi… It was okay, but the sauce was very good. Pollo Piola: so good! My favorite out of the three main dishes. The sauce was amazing and the potatoes was perfect. Pollo Alla Parmigiana: it was okay, but not my favorite chicken Parmesan. The waiter accidentally made a mistake with the bill, but he made up for it with complimentary Tiramisu. Piola was a great! I can’t wait to go again and try some of their different pizzas.

BEST pizza in all of South Florida. Thin crust and made in a wood fire oven with any of your favorite toppings. The crust is crunchy, yet the texture is elastic. The cheese melts in your mouth. Everything is fresh and true Italian. The staff is friendly and VERY attentive.(Johan and his manager David were awesome) The décor is very modern, yet rustic, and versatile. Great for a girls night out or a romantic date with your s.o. They have special drinks of the day. And PLEASE!!! For desert you must try their torta nera. It will delight ALL your senses. Take advice from a pizza aficionado: Piola is the BEST pizza you’ve ever had!!!

The pizza at Piola was really good! They have an extensive list of pizzas, both regular and white. They bring out bread with olive oil, cheese, vinegar and other pizza toppings while you wait for your pizza. I do think they have too many pizzas on their menu too, which isn’t a bad thing for some people! It just makes it more difficult to choose as a lot of those pizzas are really similar to the other ones. The pizza took like 10 minutes tops to come out from when we had ordered. I like that their pizza is thin crust so you don’t feel disgustingly full from all of the bread without enjoying the pizza toppings. I had the San Daniele and it was topped with prosciutto. Delicious!!! Boyfriend had the Quattro Formaggi and enjoyed his as well. I like that they have really good pizza specials for the type of whole pie, personal pizzas they offer. We were able to get a free pizza from a coupon in one of the neighborhood advertising magazines they put in our mailbox so definitely keep an eye out for those!

What a great find! This place is modern and the food and service are great. This is located in the cinemark plaza. I found out this is a chain restaurant but it truly does not feel like it at all. The restaurant is big, clean, and everything looks new. They have a great wine and beer selection on tap(found a new favorite Schöfferhofer). We ordered a ceasar salad which for me beat outback’s(yes they make a mean ceasar salad). We also got a pizza can’t remember the name but it had delicious spicy sausage. My only complaint is that I wish it had more meat. I really enjoyed this place. It has this exciting vibe about it. Can’t wait to come back and try some of the pasta dishes. If you go ask for Johan, probably one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time and the reason why they’re getting 4 stars.

One can’t ever say that I am not a cheap date! Last night husband and I had a pre-movie dinner at Piola for $ 25 and enjoyed it very much. Granted our meal included a free Margherita Pizza with our Unilocal check in, an $ 8.95 value-great deal!!! We also had a Carbonara Pizza($ 12.95), Chicken Caesar Salad($ 11.95), and still had plenty to take home. Both pizzas were great. Piola’s pizzas are all individual sized but they are pretty big. The crust is super thin and for me, they have just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The toppings are very subtle. I could barely taste the egg and bacon on the Carbonara Pizza. On another visit, we got the Parma Pizza with roasted eggplant and I remember it being a little light on the topping as well. Being a pizza purist however, the Margherita Pizza is still my favorite. Be aware that Piola does not have a full Italian menu. Pizza is the real star here. There are however some Antipasti, five meat dishes, salads, and a few pastas. We have tried the gnocchi which is fantastic. I even believe that once a month Piola has an all you can eat Gnocchi night. Dangerous! Piola also had many other specials to watch out for. I think if kids come in their school uniforms at a certain time they can get a discount. There is also live music at on some nights. One night we saw a singer who was truly talented and a joy to listen to. The service was polite and fast. Pedro took great care of us but if we needed anything, all staff members did not hesitate to come by. I truly appreciated that we came in an hour before our movie and we were able to make it out in time without a problem. For an informal, quick and easy meal, Piola does not disappoint! Go get your free Margherita pizza with Unilocal check in while the offer still lasts!
