So, I normally go to another salon which I won’t mention & honestly I don’t really enjoy going there because of the atmosphere. I was calling the salon that normally go to only to find out that the only girl that I like there doesn’t even work there anymore therefore I stumbled upon this Redhead GEM! I called and was able to get a same day appointment for a wash, cut and a blow dry. Walking in and being greeted was way different then the other salon and the atmosphere was much more positive! I met with my stylist Shannon, she was super friendly, open to listening and understood the struggle with my hair & salon/​hairdresser. She assured me that I had come to the right place. I went back for my wash and was warmly greeted by Joshua. Let me tell you something, the man can shampoo/​massage a girls head! Now that was an experience that I will never forget! It was honestly amazing! Shannon provided me with an amazing cut and blow dry! I am no longer in limbo on where I’m going to go to for my next appointment, Redhead Salon I am definitely calling home! Friendly staff, good customer service. Like all of the stylists I had. They gave me a nice gift bag on my first visit with samples and coupons and also sent me coupons in the mail. I will be back!

I have never been treated so poorly as what I experienced at Redhead salon in Davie. Jackie the manager of the salon rushed my stylist & insisted on using the wrong color thereby turning my hair orange. But the worst was she only allowed my hair to process for 4 minutes, after applying a full set of highlights and base, I was rushed and made to wash the color out before it was processed properly. Anyone that has any knowledge of hair would no you need longer than 4 minutes to process in order to not have your hair turn orange. During the consult my only request, that was emphasized, was that I did not want anything brassy or orange. Due to trying to close I was forced to leave with wet hair, Jackie wouldn’t even let the stylist finish the cut or blow dry. I was embarrassed leaving with wet orange hair. The next day I had to spend having the color corrected and losing a day of work myself. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with the most unprofessional staff. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau and their license should be taken before they have chance to ruin anyone else hair. Certainly would never recommend them to any of my friends or family. Unless you want orange hair I don’t suggest ever stepping foot in redhead salon and certainly never let Jackie anywhere near your hair.

Definitely a five star review. They did all the right things. Paired me with the appropriate stylist, demonstrated that they truly care, and gave a great cut. Never seen a salon work this hard for a men’s cut for someone from out of town. Even got a gift bag.

Whenever I review a salon, it’s more or less a review for girls with curly hair. Redhead Salon seemed like they do a really good job with straight/​wavy hair and color jobs. The customer service was also very good which is what prevented me from giving this place a 2-​star curl cut review. Overall, my experience was OK but I probably wouldn’t come back.
I came in on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to wait long for my stylist, Mindy, to finish with her previous client. Mindy was super nice, but one of the first things that I look for when I visit a new stylist is skepticism or fear when they see the ridiculous amount of hair that I have. Mindy didn’t strike me as someone who deals with curly hair very often and when she wanted to cut my hair wet (which is typically a no-​no for girls with curls as the hair shrinks when it dries and will appear shorter than you thought it was going to be) I became a little nervous. I didn’t say anything because I only needed a dusting and I told her I wanted to keep the volume that I had hoping that it would imply that cutting it wet may not be the best route. The shampoo and conditioner used during the wash really dried out my hair. I noticed after my hair was dried off with a towel that it looked like all of the natural oils had been stripped. The cut was OK overall. She trimmed around the outside of may hair but didn’t separate it into sections and cut the inside (if that makes any sense). This was a little unusual to me because even when I’ve gotten bad haircuts, the stylist ALWAYS separates my hair and works in sections. It was only a dusting so there’s not much to that. My hair turned out OK and the curls are a little bouncier than before. She didn’t actually give me a haircut and definitely didn’t style it, so charging $ 55 was way overpriced.
Aesthetically, my hair looked really dried out so I had to go home and add my own product. Coconut oil to the rescue! I noticed immediately when I started rinsing out my hair that the curl cream/​product that was put on my hair after the cut made my hair full of little tiny knots starting at the root! It took me while to detangle and I had to rewash and use a Jamaican Black Castor Oil leave-​in to restore the oils. My hair is still kind of dry but as I said before the curls are a little bouncier. Overall, this place is probably great if you have straight hair or are looking for a color job, but its’ not a place for a curly girl haircut. I can’t wait for my usual stylist to come back from maternity leave (Sheila at Aztig). The DevaCut is expensive at about $ 100, but by far the best option if you have curly hair :)

I fell in love with this place today. I was gonna go to Aveda and so glad I skipped that and just came here. It was my first time going to Redhead and Kristin cut my hair. Man she was so sweet and did such a great job on my hair I left feeling on top of the world with my incredibly different and beautiful haircut and style. She gave me some tips on styling my hair with my new cut and told me about some products she recommends. (Since I legit have no idea about any of that) Also everyone else was really sweet and nice and I got a little goodie bag when leaving. Definitely always coming back here when I need a hair cut or anything else and telling my friends about it. :D

I’m very sad to report that I had one of the worst salon experiences this past Saturday. It’s partially my fault because I didn’t book the appointment with Mindy. I’m sure she would’ve been great. My goal was to get closer to my natural medium-​ash brown color from a pretty light (by a brunette’s standards) full highlight. What I got instead was a complete mess.
I have no professional hair coloring experience, but I’ve colored my hair since I was 12. The way back to brunette is not to slather on a permanent dark brown, all at the same time (i.e. roots and ends together), and not use any toner/​glaze. My stylist even had to ask the stylist next to her what color to mix. I should’ve stopped her right there. What I’ve been left with is an odd and very unnatural-​looking orangey brown at the roots and greenish-​brown at the tips. It’s so embarrassing. And the worst part is, I was charged $ 110 for a single-​process color and blow-​out that I could’ve done myself from a box color. It was robbery. I’m never going back.

This review is based on an updo by Jamie. I had been in search of a stylist that is great at updos when I found Redhead Salon on Unilocal and based on their great reviews and my bad experience at a previous salon I decided to give them a call for a consultation and I’m so glad I did!
The receptionist that answered the phone was very attentive and asked me all the right questions and based on what I needed she recommended Jamie. She set up a consultation for the following day and booked for a trial that Saturday (Halloween) just in case.
When I arrived at the salon I was greeted and even though Jamie was busy with a client he came straight away, introduced himself, told me he’ll be with me shortly and offered me a drink. The consultation went great, he took his time and answered my questions and we both agreed that a trial is a good idea so he can work with my hair.
My trial went really well, Jamie listened to what I wanted and he even turned my trial updo into a great style for the Halloween party I was going to and I kept getting compliments about my hair all night!
My final updo on the day of the event I was going to was even better than I expected, it lasted all night, it looked great even after all the dancing and sweating!
I just checked my mail and I’ve received a personal thank you card and a coupon to use later! That was a very nice surprise. I definitely recommend Jamie, he’s very pleasant and kind, listens to what you want and delivers! Thank you, Jamie!

I’ve been going here for a few years now since I donated my hair for locks of love. It took 18 years to finally find a place that knew how to deal with my very long, very thick and very crazy curly hair. Mindy and Tiffany are my absolute favorite stylists… Haven’t had the chance to try anyone else but I have been pleased every time. For graduation or any special occasion they take the time to ask what I want and never make me feel rushed while being oh so friendly and sweet. They also give me good advice on how to take care of my hair. I recommend them to all my friends and family and will continue to. :)

Recently moved to fl, you know its always hard to find someone new to do your hair, well RedHead Salon is the place!!!
Made an appt. Jamie did my hair, highlights cut and style. He is awesome, the salon is awesome
He took the time to listen to what i wanted, the salon offered drinks and cookies, and when i left a goody bag, i rec’d a call a fee days later to see if i was happy

I have been coming to this salon for years, never really had a problem until now. I asked for a golden blonde, my hair was already blonde I just wanted a little dimension. In the salon all the stylist were saying my color was gorgeous. It was NOT! It was an orange red color and looked terrible. I also got a cut which was fine. When I called to complain, they told me they don’t offer refunds, they would only redo it. I told them I had already corrected it because the color was so terrible I could not wait to have it fixed. The lady on the phone who claimed to be the assistance manager was like sorry no refunds. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I would not recommend going to this salon if you want to pick out your own color, especially if you have something specific in mind. I will not be returning here again and I will tell my friends the same.

Recently moved to FL and solely used Unilocal reviews to narrow down options for a new stylist. Upon calling Redhead Salon and talking to the receptionist I was more than pleased and knew it was a fit… she was so friendly and helpful saying she knew exactly which stylist was a fit upon hearing what I was wanting.
I got in within the week for a cut/​color/​hi lights. Meghan, the stylist, was just what I was hoping for. She listened, gave options, and then explained why she did things. LOVE my hair! Natural redhead and it’s nearly impossible to find someone who enhances the natural vs making it look fake and Meghan gave me exactly what I wanted… covering up «sparkles/​grays» that were bothering me and some beautiful highlights. My hair is exactly what I asked for! Amazing find.

OMG!!! What an awesome place. Everyone there does a great job. I came in with nightmare hair, and needed rescuing. The receptionist probably could sense that over the phone when I called in asking for their next available appointment. She was able to squeeze me in with Charlotte, which I can’t in words describe the magic she performed. I went from disaster to gorgeous. She was professional, sweet, knowledgeable, and the list could go on and on.
Since I was a last minute appointment she couldn’t cut my hair, so they gave me another stylist Mindy. Again OMG!!! She cut and styled my hair so beautifully.
Ladies… If you have any doubts about what salon to go to, DON’T go to this one. Doesn’t matter how far you have to drive, it’s worth it all.

I had a wonderful first time experience today! I was greeted and taken in at my exact appointment time. My stylist was Aisha. She sat me down and asked me a few questions: what I was trying to accomplish with the cut, what I liked and what I didn’t like about past haircuts, and how I usually style my hair.
She then shampooed/​gave me an awesome head and neck massage! It was very relaxing. Afterwards she asked a few more questions before getting to work. I love that she asked all her questions because that means she actually cares about what I want and what the outcome will be.
While she cut my hair she gave me a few pointers here and there, asked a few questions to make conversation, but no annoying small talk and no blabbing about her personal life which some other stylists do that I cannot stand! So it was nice being able to enjoy the pampering without being forced to talk or hear about your pet dog and how he’s the best.
She then blow dried my hair expertly, leaving no frizz or waves. My hair is so soft and shiny as I type this. After it was dried she carefully examined her work and made a few more snips here and there to make sure my hair was sitting nicely while dry.
The end results are great! Layers and angles just like I wanted.
After the appointment she walked me out to the front. I paid, grabbed a cookie, was given a newbie goodie bag, and was on my merry way :)

I went to Redhead salon about a month ago. Im usually very skeptical about trying new places because I have curly hair and not many people cut curly hair very well but I saw their reviews were pretty good.
I made an appt over the phone and was told Aisha knows how to cut curly hair. I went in and was received with a warm welcome. About a few minutes in Aisha came to the front and introduced herself. She cut my hair and suggested I do small layers. I took her advice and I’m glad I did. After the cut it looked great. She then blow dried my hair which is the REAL challenge. She did it in about an hour (it usually takes me three) and it looked AMAZING.
First time customers get a little care package and I even got a thank you card in the mail. It was awesome! If you have curly hair and need a stylist Aisha is your girl. She’s nice and very efficient. I highly recommend this salon!

Since I’ve seen several great reviews from their previous customers, I decided to give them a try. I was able to make a last minute appointment to get a haircut on a Friday on Mothers Day weekend no less.
I was very pleased from the moment I got there. Everyone was super sweet, kind, and professional. They even had yummy cookies at the front desk. :)
I was introduced to my hairdresser Kristen. She was awesome! Was having a blah day and she made me feel and look like a princess by the time she was done. She’s super cool and sweet. She will give you suggestions on what to get done so that you look great.
I had to run some errands right after and I was getting compliments at every store I went to. That was a great feeling. :)

After deciding to change salons after quite some time, I was thrilled to find Redhead. On the first visit I was understandable apprehensive, as trusting someone new with my hair is pretty scary. I saw Jessica and couldn’t have been happier. I now see her regularly for my hair and wax needs. She is extremely professional and great at listening to what I want and making it a reality!
They have discounts for new customers and college students which is always nice, and also have waxing services.
If you are looking to find a new salon in the davie/​plantation area, I would highly recommend Redhead for a professional, fashion-​forward and consistent salon experience!
