I get LIVID every time I have to come into this place. I was given a gift certificate of $ 60 to go towards whatever I’d like but my friend knows I like spray tans. I’m told when I get there that I have to purchase a mouth guard and goggles. This pisses me off because you can’t possibly plug every hole of the human body, no other tanning place does this, and if you were really THAT concerned about me getting hurt by the solution, you wouldn’t exist – hello, skin cancer!!! So, I can’t «tan» until I purchase those but they can’t possibly make me use it in the room. The next time I go in, I figure I’m just gonna tan my tan, and get the $ 8 left on the gift certificate handed to me in cash, since, you know, the law states that anything below $ 10 has to be given back as change to the customer. Well, I ask for the $ 8 and she says, «I can’t do that because it’s a credit in the system, it’s not an actual gift card.». And I respond, «then why do I have a gift certificate in my purse?» But I quickly shut down the argument, as I presumed it would go this route – plus, she isn’t management and obviously doesn’t know what the law states. So, I continue on with my service and, OH, what do you know – I have to pull MORE cash out to pay for the spray tan solution, as it is not already included in the spray tan price. When the«manager» calls me, she leaves a message saying that I can’t get back the $ 60 so obviously the message wasn’t even relayed back to her correctly. I have one more spray tan to use there and then I’m DONE with them forever. Tanning salons in general are horrible, but from my experience, Amazing tans tops the list.

DONOT get a spray tan here. I have had several Versa Spa and other spray tans and was VERY happy with the result. I followed all of their instructions which included SPRAYINGHANDSANDFREEWITHWINDEX!!! How does that not violate a health standard? But they claim you need to buy a «mouth guard»(another way to make a buck) to protect you for health reasons but applying windex directly to skin is necessary to achieve a desired result? NOTETOAMAZINGTANS: if you need to apply windex to your skin following your procedure, there is probably something wrong with your product!!! As far as tanning beds, they are overpriced for what they are as well… Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Man, The reviews for this place are awfully low considering the overall facility is brand new, and the ladies who work here are as friendly as it gets for a tanning salon. I pay for a monthly unlimited tanning plan for 20+tax and if you go enough it’s worth it. Most tanning places charge 5 – 10 $/session if you’re not on a plan. This place does it right as far as I can tell. My only hope would be for mirrors in the tanning rooms. Also it’s important to know your skin if you’re going to be tanning. I know how fast I tan and burn so timing has never been an issue for me. I tan easily, and burn less easily so I can usually withstand a good 8mins in a bed if I haven’t gone in a few months, and then after that I amp it up from 8 to 10… and stick to 10 after that. My friend who has skin like porcelain wants to go with me soon and I would tell her as low as 2 minutes for her first few times to develop a base tan with no burning… If you’re prone to burning a higher time in 12 – 20 minute bed is going to be BADNEWS.

My daughter has been receiving fraudulent credit card charges from this provider even though she never signed up there, never gave them her CC details, and never visited them.

THEMOSTHORRIBLETANNINGPLACEEVER. DONOTGOHEREWHATEVERYOUDO!!! It is overpriced, they have NO customer service skills. I went in, paid $ 250.00 to start with their expensive lotions and crap they try to sell you. They put me in a 12 min. max bed for 7 min. the first time after I told them I burn easily and hadn’t seen sun in two years and burned VERY badly. When I asked for compensation or an extension of my membership for a couple of weeks since I was going to lose out on being able to tan there until I healed, they told me no and offered me 20% off on after tanning lotions(which are OVERPRICED). Then they told me I could cancel my membership but would NOT refund me ANY of my money. They will not refund you anything. When I pushed with corporate, they told me they would give me an in-store credit for a measly $ 70.00 and that I could buy product from their store with it. These people are con artists!!! Do NOT go here!!! I have told all my friends and they are all spreading the news as well.

AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!! Everything is nice at first, besides being wayyy overpriced, but attempting to end a membership is IMPOSSIBLE. First, there is a rule that you have to come in and quit in writing by signing a form. Then the«policy» is to charge you for a full month after you originally want to quit. However, I was suckered into the«Stay and Save Plan», the manager told me if I signed a paper and paid $ 5 a month, then if I ever wanted to come back I wouldn’t have to pay a new sign up fee(another one of their millions of fees). She told me there was no downside and I could end the Stay and Save program at any time. So I signed it, paid my last month fee(a month more than I wanted to stay, because of the policy’) and paid the $ 5 a month for about 5 months. After this time, money was tight and I wanted out all together. To my despair I found out that in the fine print it says that to get off the Stay and Save Plan, you have to pay another full price month(about $ 70). If I knew that I would not have consented to the Stay and Save plan. There was a change in management and the new manager said that even though the old manager had LIED to me and said that there would be no additional fees and that my last month was paid for back when I first signed the Stay and Save plan, she told me «there is nothing she can do». I swallowed the bullet resigned to pay.(and I promised myself I would never sign anything again without reading every word and never trust anyone who gives me their word on what it says) So I went in to try to pay and quit but the employee there told me the manager was not in and that she had taken my forms home with her. Long story short, I am going in today for the 3rd time to try to pay and quit, praying I will be successful. By the way the manager left me a voicemail that I have to make it in by 3 pm today because that is what time she leaves. So I have to adjust my schedule and make it in or I will be locked into paying Amazing Tans huge amounts of money forever.(So considerate, accommodating, and great customer service policy) DONOTGOHEREUNLESSYOULIKETOBELIEDTOANDSCAMMED.

I miss this place so much! I lived in Davis for a while and was given the opportunity to frequent this salon for a while. I used to work for a tanning salon, so please trust me when I say the beds here are the BEST!!! Yes, it’s true. Amazing Tans is pricey, but it worth the cost to use these beds.

To tell you the truth, this place is overpriced. However, I love this place because it’s clean and the beds are all new. I haven’t seen her in a while but there used to be a girl who worked behind the counter who knew everything. She was so friendly and very knowledgeable in the subject of tanning. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have any other reviews.
