I have never been treated so badly by ANY business in my entire life! The ladies were very rude, disrespectful, and ganged up on me.
Here’s the situation: I bought a gift certificate for a manicure (including tips) for my girl and they would not accept it because it was past the due date. What type of gift certificates/​gift cards EXPIRE!?? So basically, it’s as if I just GAVE them my money for NOTHING. I tried to explain that I did not realize my girl was pregnant when I purchased the gift certificate. I found out about her early pregnancy shortly after buying the gift certificate. Clearly, somebody who is pregnant should NOT be around chemicals, specially during the early stages of her pregnancy. In addition, after my daughter was born, her mother was way too sick to get a damn manicure. I tried explaining all this to them but they RUDELY refused to accept the gift certificate. I even said that if their prices went up, then I would be willing to pay the difference. This was very humiliating, partly because my girl and daughter were there as I was trying to plead for them to reconsider their expired gift certificate policy. I am NEVER buying anything from them and I am going to urge all my female friends to stay away from this place!!!
I think if my skin color were the same as them, then I might have been treated differently. I shouldn’t be treated differently because of the color of my skin.
These ladies are obviously not mothers and do not understand what a pregnant woman or someone who recently gave birth has had to go through. By far, the WORST business in Davis! They were quick to take my money, but not quick to render the services to us!!!

My favorite nail salon in Davis! I went here all throughout my time at Davis and every time I come back I always stop by for a mani or pedi. The ladies still recognize me and they remember the small details about my life and it’s always fun to catch up!
They have three hair cut chairs, a waxing room, three nail stations, and four pedicure chairs.
Everything looks new and it’s very clean. There isn’t an overwhelming smell of nail polish when you walk in so it’s a lot more relaxing and you won’t leave with a headache!
They do a very thorough job of cleaning up cuticles and making your nails look perfect before they’re even painted. The actual paint jobs are also always on the money.
Definitely come here!

The three sisters are friendly, helpful and do a great job. I have been getting monthly pedicures with Lynn for quite awhile, since it is hard for me to see and reach my toenails as I get older and creakier. I asked for their advice to help get me «spruced up» for my son’s wedding and I had my very light eyebrows dyed and waxed, and added eyelash extensions. I started about 6 wks before the wedding so I could see if I liked the results, which I did. The eyebrow color and the length and thickness of the eyelashes looked very natural, and both Devon and Tianna explained what I should expect and how to take care of them. I returned for a touch-​up in about 3 wks as the eyebrows lighten and some of the lashes fall off, and the return trip was also very good. The shop is very clean, and all the services that I have had done there have been very professional and good quality. I highly recommend this salon!

The three sisters who own this shop care! They care about you, no matter if it is your first time in the place or your 100^th. I had been in a few times over several years but what shocked me was that they remembered who I was TWO YEARS after the last time they had seen me. They remember everything we talked about from the time I was in previously. It blows my mind how good of memories those women have!
They really make the experience very enjoyable. I started going once every few years to get my nails done, to once every few months (added a pedi) to twice a month (added a brow wax) and now I even get my haircut there! I trust them with all my salon needs. Everything always looks perfect!

Love the ladies (all sisters… super cute!) at Studio Salon! My coworkers and I have been going to them for years to get mani/​pedis, waxes and haircuts. They’re professional, super sweet, very reasonably priced, almost always find a way to fit you in for a same-​day appt and do a fantastic job. Devonne is my favorite for haircuts. I highly recommend this place! So glad I work close enough to walk over on my lunch break!

I just had the worst customer experience I’ve ever had, at this salon! I have never been treated so horribly as a customer! When I actually got my nails done the ladies were polite and nice, but didn’t do that good of a job. Leaving clumps of acrylic on the edges, when I asked the lady to remove one of the clumps she ended up slicing my finger so I took one of the files with me and said I could finish. The next day when showering one of the nails broke off when I was combing through my hair, frustrated since I got a dark color and it was so noticeable I called to see when was the next available time to get it fixed. I had made an appointment to come in the following day when soon after getting off the phone another one broke reaching into my purse this time pulling off my real nail. I decided to drive from Sacramento to Davis that day where I was told they were too busy and to come back for the appointment.
Things got crazy when I went in for the appointment. I wish I would’ve recorded the interaction! It ended up with both of them yelling at me pissed off because this time I wanted the fixed nails to be done right, they are chunky, mismatched, and still have acrylic on the sides. They cut me off and blamed me for everything, I was blown away that I was getting yelled at as a customer especially since my tone was level the entire time. If you go here expect a half ass job on the nails and if you give any feedback expect these women to flip on you treating you as if you are on an episode of jerry springer. So unprofessional.

I came here to get gel nails. I liked the woman that did my nails– she was nice and was not super chatty. She was also very gentle about doing my nails. I got french manicure with burgundy tips and gold sparkles. I brought in a picture of what I wanted, but they did not have the gold design polish (their bottle had dried out). How can a nail salon not have gold design polish? I thought that was pretty standard if people came in and wanted nail design. They had silver, but that wasn’t what I was looking for. I really liked how my nails turned out though. However, for some reason, one of my nail tips chipped THAT NIGHT. For me, the point of spending so much money on getting gel nails is so that they last longer. The next day other nails also started chipping. Over the course of the week, my right hand nails basically all chipped. I am not going to get gel nails again– totally not worth it for the price and how unhealthy it is for your nail if it isn’t even going to last longer than a regular manicure!
I ended up also asking her to wax my eyebrows. I’m usually scared about trying new places because I prefer a more natural look and don’t want too much shaping. I’m also afraid of my eyebrows looking way too thin afterwards. But she waxed my eyebrows really efficiently, and they looked clean and natural afterwards.

These three sisters are the best! I started coming here for mani/​pedi services and then for brow waxing, then to get my bangs trimmed, and now also for haircuts! I have really thick stranded Asian hair and it’s always so difficult to find a place that knows how to properly layer and blend so my hair isn’t choppy looking and these ladies get the job done so well! I drive 30 mins just to see them and am probably going to keep coming over for all my grooming and nail needs!

I’ve been looking for a nail place in Davis since I no longer live near where I used to get my nails done. I found what I’ve been searching for in Studio Salon! A great place with very polite and nice staff.
My nails looked great! I was very happy with them. I like my pedicure too, although she could have given a better massage (a bit light — could have applied more pressure), but other than that, I am quite satisfied with the service.
Aside from receiving a great manicure and nice pedicure, being treated well is very important to me — there’s nothing worse than being treated horribly by a business. I’m happy to share that Studio Salon provides great service and practices good customer service.
