The fried pies are really good and they have a lot of flavors. My favorite is the vanilla pie. If you are in the area you need to come here.

Delicious crust. Wish the fruit pies were warm. We tried the pizza and Tex Mex and both were yummy.

I’ve had their pies a few times. They are a bit too greasy but still tasty. I haven’t found a meat pie I like yet but the fruit and desert pies are great! My kids and husband like all their pies!

Why is there a dinosaur and chicken on top of the place? Pies are poorly done, mine fell apart at first bite but it was decent enough to finish. Poorly decorated, and the whole atmosphere was just weird. It’s nice for the area though, and if you’re looking for something quick and sweet to eat, this is the place for you. I’m just glad I didn’t pay more than what I did for my pie. Note: don’t just shove the pie in your mouth, I almost choked on the crust. Overall an okay pie shop.

We loved each and every single one of our pies. We got Apple, sugar free apple, chocolate, and cherry. They even sell frozen pies to take home for the next day. I was especially thankful for the sugar free pie as I have a diabetic child. He really enjoyed having several options to choose from. The place looks like an old church. You are not in for fancy décor, but there is seating to accommodate you if you’d like to dine in. They have savory pies for both breakfast and lunch that we did not have room to try. I hope to go back again.

It’s always a treat to stop here and get a fried pie. They’re not expensive and are massive with tons of filling. The breading is also delicious. My favorites are pineapple, blackberry, chocolate, and pumpkin when they have it. They will also custom make a pie for you if you want it. They’re best fresh, but still good if they’ve been sitting out.

An absolute must when we are on our way to and from Texas. If you haven’t tried it out yet you are missing out!

If you like fried pies, this is the place to stop! Male sure you ask for them hot, they are way better that way. They also have some frozen that you can take home!

This is worth the stop! The help is friendly and even gave us an extra pie because it was broken. We had a blackberry and an apple. One was still hot and one wasn’t. They were both good, but are definitely much better hot! We are going to stop again on our way back to try the pudding filled pies! We also found out that you can mix fillings. We might try that too.

So now i know what a fried pie is. I had never had a fried pie before so I thought I would stop and try one of the originals. There was a huge selection of flavors available, but I still love old fashioned cherry flavor. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. It was amazing to watch the production line and see how quickly they were making the pies. The scary part was that the air inside the location was smoky. I do not know if this is normal, but it made me think of burning vegetable oil. The pie itself is OK but was not exactly what I had expected. I may have to go on a fried pie expedition to be able to try others so that I know what I am comparing it to.

Food is wonderful but the inside needs to be cleaner … It is out of a gas station and it definitely looked like it

Heard many great things about this place and pass it all the time driving back and forth from Dallas to Oklahoma. I’m surprised to say, it was better than I had expected! I had the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast pie and boy it was Delish! Made to order so extra hot and tasty. The pie crust was flaky and buttery, just the way I like my carbs. Tried the fruity flavors too and they were just as good! I’ll have to make this a regular pit stop.

Honestly, I’d give them 3 stars for how much I actually enjoyed my fried pie(Apple — other travelers had Blackberry and Peach) and the extra is just for nostalgia. So glad small places like this still exist in America. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon and they were doing a lot of business. Everything we bought was pre-made and ready to go, but they have savory pies too which are cooked to order. I was wishing mine was a little warmer so that may be the way to go. Portions are really too much for one person.

Another trip to Dallas, and another stop into Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies. This time I went with a pecan and an apricot on the way down, and stopped again on the way back for a blackberry and a pecan. The pecans and apricot were top-notch, but I was underwhelmed with the blackberry. It is worth noting that they will typically have a case full of cold pies ready-to-go, but you can request a hot pie and they will make it and fry it on your order. As you would expect, a freshly-fried pie is crazy hot, so be sure to have some patience to let it cool before you shove the whole thing in your mouth. Also, this may or may not be new, but they were also offering seasonal pies, including pumpkin, sweet potato, and apple-raisin-pecan.

Bought three pies, Apple, pumpkin pie, peach. All were very yummy and the outside of the pie was a golden delicious crust with a warm filling inside. Prices were great and the pies are HUGE !! You could order one and split it if you wanted too !! There is indoor seating.

While in Davis visiting Turner Falls we were«informed» that we absolutely had to try Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies. So being the obedient little souls that we are we did. Oh who am I kidding, it’s a FRIEDPIE!!! Who wouldn’t want to try it out!!! Unfortunately it just didn’t live up to what I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, the filling was tasty and the crust was cooked through. Just a little blah is all. I was expecting a fruit filing and it jelly, I was expecting a crispy flavored, somewhat nothing fancy, crust and it was just dough. Next time I’m up there I’ll give it another shot but definitely going to try one of the pie fillings and not a fruit filling.

Stopped here after a long day at Turner Falls, evidently it was a few minutes past closing time but they still were selling any pies left from the day. I got the blackberry and the peach since they were out of apple. The filling of the pies is good, not amazing but good enough. The real star is the pie crust, I could eat it for days. I can only imagi e how great it would have been if it were fresh. The staff is super nice and friendly, or maybe they were just excited it was time to get off work. The bathrooms are very clean and they accept credit card. I would definitely stop by again if I was in the area.

I guess I have never had a fried pie… I wasn’t impressed. The pie wasn’t even warm! The crust had no flavor. The filling was(apple) gummy. The girl at the counter was sweet. But for $ 2.99 I would pass next time.

We stopped by this place just to get gas after visiting turner falls. Wow best decision ever!!! We had the apple, peach, blackberry pies-all so amazing! Bathrooms were not inviting, but other than that definitely worth it if passing by!

So as many times that I have traveled back and forth down 35 S going to Texas, I’d pass the Fried Pies sign and always thought to myself, this sounds so good. This past weekend I happened to be traveling that way and me and a friend’s of mine mother decided to stop by. They have a nice selection of flavors and an assortment of types(regular, crème, and sugar free). I decided to try the Vanilla crème and regular Peach Fried pie. It’s a tasty delight. They already have them ready to go, so basically you just tell them what flavor and bam there you go. The gentleman that waited on us was friendly. If nothing else though. It’s a good treat to snack on the little road trip. This place looks like it stays busy, especially considering it is right on the campgrounds and off the interstate as well as located in the touristy site of the Arbuckle Mountains.
