Awesome barbeque joint! The barbeque beef sandwiches are over flowing with meat! The place s ALWAYS full! To the tilt! Plus long lines for take out order’s! Outside table’s are always full!!! Oh! BTW better get there early! They write on the chalkboard what they run out of as they run out of it! My husband went there one night and they was out of EVERYTHING! Get there early! Personally their potato salad had way to much garlic and onion powder! I do not recommend it at all! But their cole slaw is perfect! I recommend you get there early! When all their tables are full and you have to wait for a table and they write on a chalkboard what they run it of… YOUKNOWTHEREISGOODFOODTHERE!!!

I was a beautiful day for a short road trip so I decided to mark Smokin Joe’s off my list. Right off I-35 exit 51. It was very busy but the line moved quick. I had the 2 meat dinner pulled pork and Polish sausage. Tender juicy and perfectly smoked. The sides and deserts were great. If you are ever near Davis, Ok… do your taste buds a righteous and drop by for some awesome BBQ.

Smokin’ Joes is the best barbecue that I have tasted. I absolutely love their ribs & chopped brisket. I always have leftovers from there. If you want to go for lunch, be sure to get there around 11 or 11:30; after that it will take forever to get food. I also appreciate that they are closed on Wednesdays & Sundays for church.

Best BBQ in Oklahoma. Went by in Jan 1st. Third trip, first at the new location. The smoked decently moist chicken diner was excellent. The sides were good, as well as the sauce. Ate some of my daughters well smoked Brisket. Service was friendly, mostly ate the meat without the sauce. A must stop if in the area.

Very disappointed!!! We had driven straight through from Galveston Texas so we could eat at Smokin Joes. I had called and asked them how late they were open. They failed to mention that they were out of almost all their meats! We are headed to OKC now and I didn’t get to eat. Restaurant needs to tell people when they won’t be able to serve them.

Fabulous okie bbq!!! Ordered the sliced brisket and pulled pork with fried okra and potato salad. The portions were huge and full of flavor. The brisket was moist and well smoked. I wasn’t a fan of the potato salad, too sour tasting. Outdoor seating was nice and clean. They had a great menu to pick from. Bathrooms were clean.

Absolutely the best smoked meat I’ve ever had. Full disclosure, I’m not a fan of any BBQ sauce, but holy crud this place has good meat. Do not skip the Strawberry desert — It is out of this world.

Went to turner falls with my friends and decided to go here after Unilocaling food places. I mean there really weren’t that many options to choose from but i’m glad we chose Smoking Joe’s because it was DELICIOUS. First of all I don’t even like barbecue its all just kinda eh, But the ribs here were something special because I LOVEDIT! As soon as we took the bite, the meat just fell off the bone ever so smoothly hahaha i mean it was good and soft not chewy haha. Also ordered some sides with it, I can only remember the fries tho haha because even the fries were good at a barbecue place… lol One last thing, the portions here are huge. enough to feed 2 people so I suggest sharing. Pricing is decent for the amount they give you! Sometimes I crave this place and like I said I don’t even like barbecue nor did I ever crave barbecue in my entier life until I tried this place

Oh. Man. Is this place legit! I’m not joking when I say it’s the best BBQ in Oklahoma. We tried almost everything, it seemed like. Brisket, pork, links. For sides: potato salad, okra, fries. But beware(in a good way)…the portions are HUGE. We ate at least one more meal from leftovers. I wish I lived closer, but definitely worth the trip!

I’m not sure what is perfect BBQ, but this place is way up on my list! My entire family liked this place. If the food is this good all the time, it is worth a day trip or at least a must go to when driving through the area! Not a 4 star valet parking steak house, just a neat place and really good food place to go. Good job people!

This place changed my life! BEST barbecue that i’ve ever had… and being from Texas, I have HIGH expectations! This place deserves 10 stars out of 5! You will definitely leave with leftovers and be completely satisfied. I’m hoping that I will drive through Davis, OK again… heck, I might even have to make a detour!!!

I must say overall the food was good. However when I order smoked hot wings I feel they should provide ranch with them. But I was told after receiving my food(and paying the $ 60 price for it) that I’d have to go back up and pay an extra 50 cents for ranch. Now maybe I’m being petty but Really! I mean it’s kind of like serving the ribs and charging you for the sauce. And it really just rubbed me the wrong way. Also the menus are posted when you walk in, however there’s no prices on anything. They are also really confusing. The ribs were good, moist and tender. Pulled pork sandwiches had enough meat on them for like 3. Portions were so large we had people trying to give us their leftovers. Maybe if the portions were more normal size they wouldn’t have to charge for condiments and water though.

I was looking forward to visiting Smokin Joe’s on my recent visit to OK. I’ve heard about it from a few people and was eager to try it out. Now before I go any further I should make it clear that I am from TX and have a huge passion for BBQ. We got inline with the lunch crowd and began looking through the menu to figure out what we wanted to get. The 3 meat plate won out giving me the best chance to try as many menu items as possible. I went with the Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Pork Ribs with coleslaw and fried okra for sides. The portions were large, we actually could have shared the 3 meat plate versus getting our own, so that’s +1 for Smokin Joe’s. The brisket I was given were all lean cuts and still maintained it’s moisture with big smoke flavor, that makes +2. The pulled pork was tender and full of flavor, that’s another perk so +3. The ribs were very tender and almost falling off the bone. A little to much pepper for me in the rub that day but still very much worth the heat, now we are at +4. Then I dove off into my coleslaw; it was soggy, bland, and obviously store bought. That was a bummer to me since coleslaw is an easy dish to make and pairs great with BBQ, –1 putting us at +3. The fried okra, store bought again, was what it was; –1 for a total of +2. Overall the experience was good and the quality of the meats made up for the detractors of the sides. I’d definitely go again if I’m in the area but I’ll probably skip the sides this time around and just order by the pound.

The only reason this place doesn’t get a 5 star review is that if you don’t get there early enough you might not get what you want. They tend to run out of certain items. That being said, there are multiple items on the menu that are just as good and will satisfy your craving and have you leaving with the«meat sweats». On second thought. 5 stars anyway.

Well I’m from Texas and I hold my BBQ standards high. I mean we(Texans) have the best BBQ in the world! Smokin Joes was good! We ordered the 3 meat combo with two sides and two drinks… All that for $ 25! And I’m not over exaggerating The portions are insane! No joke we had the leftovers for two days of breakfast! And still had three ribs leftover! We ordered the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, coleslaw and fried okra. Let me just list what I thought! Pulled pork– awesome! Best thing we got!(Was awesome with our eggs and green onions the next day!) Brisket– it wasn’t dry so that’s a plus… But not Texas brisket. Ribs– I thought they were too tough. Coleslaw– Store bought premade. Ugh. Fried okra– tasted like it was frozen. The sauces weren’t homemade either… I guess I’m spoiled with really great BBQ. I would definitely go back next time I’m in Turner falls. I would just order the pulled pork!

Very nice venue, good parking, adequate seating accommodations, adorable décor, tantalizing menu, GREAT customer service, clean, stalked and spacious restrooms, beautiful outdoor area. There is a sign when you walk in that tells you if their out of anything. A simple easy to read and navigate menu. Our table, we had the specials; sandwich with your choice of meat, side and a drink. We all had the brisket sandwiches, mostly sliced. We all LOVED our overstuffed sandwiches on toasted buns. Ribs, cheeseburger, fries, cole slaw and potato salad were good.

The best ribs I’ve ever had. Worth stopping here for the ribs alone. The chopped brisket was pretty good but didn’t blow me away like the ribs. Beans and cole slaw were average. Pecan cobbler was worth trying, it tasted somewhat like a cinnamon roll. It took a long time to get my food after ordering at counter, 20 minutes or so. Sounds like a normal timeframe from other reviews(the lady at counter estimated 30 min wait), but I’ve been to many busy packed BBQ restaurants in Kansas City, Austin etc that get food out quickly once you order. Most BBQ restaurants where you order at the counter give you food on the spot. So you might wait 10 minutes to get to the front of the line, but then you get your food. Here you wait 10 minutes to get to the front of the line, and then 20 minutes for your food. Can’t figure out what would take so long as they aren’t exactly cooking fresh dishes for each order. But those ribs!!! I’ve never been a ribs fan at BBQ restaurants, but this place might have changed me forever. These ribs have highly seasoned burnt ends all over them. If you’re a fan of the burnt, crispy part of BBQ(Kansas City calls them ‘burnt ends’), these ribs will melt your mind. It’s worth dealing with this place’s inefficient system to try the ribs. Just try to go at an off-peak hour.
