International house of pancakes. My pledge sisters and Mama were looking for a late night grub and decided to go with iHop. The wait was pretty long. Once we were seated, we order our food which also took quite a pretty long time. Maybe it’s because it was quite packed at ihop. On the bright side our server Simba was nice. Customer service was good. As for the food, it was pretty good. It wasn’t as greasy as I thought it would be. It’s just like any other basic breakfast food. I got the breakfast sampler and it was quite a lot. It came with pancakes, sausage, eggs, ham & bacon but I substituted the ham and bacon for extra eggs. Portions was pretty big. I definitely satisfied my pancakes cravings. Nothing can go wrong with pancakes! Overall this ihop is like any other ihop. If you’re craving breakfast food late at night then come here for a decent grub.

Just really mediocre food all around. The only reason why I go back to this place is because either 1. It’s the only thing open at a particular odd hour or 2. a friend wants to go here to eat. Otherwise, I would never go here on my own or suggest it. I few visits back(a year or two ago) I ordered a side of french fries and was instantly dissatisfied. I thought that I would get a decent portion of fries but I was so far from the truth. I got maybe 10 fries total. On top of that, I paid about $ 5 – 6 for those fries. Another time I came here, I ordered a strawberry dessert crêpe with ice cream. Everything would taste good if you cut back on the amount of strawberry SYRUP they gave you. I would have rather they give me just cut strawberries. The whole time I was eating the crêpe, I only tasted the syrup which made the dish like a soup. Or just extremely soggy bits of crêpe in syrup soup. The other times I’ve been here, they’re food is edible but nothing about it screams a good quality. All the breakfast foods they serve here, you can make at home just as easily and even better. The most recent time, I decided to accompany a friend for dinner. I wasn’t very hungry so I ate one of my friend’s side of hash browns(she got extra sides for both of us). Once my friend ordered, the waitress asked for my order and I stated that I would share with my friend. However, she asked if I was sure and I confirmed that I was ok. She constantly kept coming back to check on us(maybe more than 5 times) throughout our meal. I do understand that she is doing her job but it was a bit too excessive, in my opinion.(Never thought I would comment on being checked up too often…) Overall, college town, college students, IHOP is an easy place to get food especially at odd hours. Or if you don’t want to wait for a line at a decent restaurant.

The only reason I would ever come back here is if I had the the munchies at 3AM in the morning. But that’s only because it’s the only place open. Otherwise, forget it. Given that it’s an IHOP, you can’t come in expecting the greatest breakfast in the world. This place is average, at most. And believe me, I love brunch as much as the next guy, but this would NOT be on my list if I had a choice. It’s just an option if you want something quick for brunch or having late night hash brown cravings.(which is me like, ALL the time, ha!) I had to choose, I would probably recommend anything from their specials menu, since they usually put a good deal with it; maybe a hash brown sausage & egg combo. Be warned though, they’re inconsistent with their food. Sometimes my meal comes out all oily and soggy, but sometimes it comes out pretty perfect. Who knows?

We just tried to eat here. And despite calling to check if they were open before coming in, the hostess said they closing in 10 minutes. Not very professional. Or curtious:(

Basic. No one was there so not a long wait. Waiter was attentive. Chicken & Pumpkin waffles was not good. The chicken is some fake patty… like what they give you at school. Yuck! I guess the rating is mostly for the food.

Not expecting the best here but definitely not expecting to wait an hour while everyone else seated after us was getting their food. Then only to get our food that was actually terrible.

Normally, I love breakfast food. I don’t play favorites when it comes to IHOP vs Denny’s either, but seeing how there isn’t a Denny’s in Davis, IHOP kind of gets an automatic win here. That isn’t to say that this IHOP has some serious flaws though. The main issue with this IHOP is the waiting time. It’s pretty dead here, but the lack of attendance that the waiting staff give to customers coming in is pretty detrimental. The waiters/waitresses can take a couple minutes to actually see you just waiting at the front door for a table. After you get seated, it’s basically a hit-or-miss whether or not they come to check on you often and remember your order. Other than that, the food they cook seems to be pretty consistent. It never comes out instantaneously like you’d want it to because they like to serve food at the same time, but it’s not that bad of a waiting game, either. Parking is usually plentiful, and the ambience is also great if you just want a pleasant meal with yourself or just with some friends. Everyone is nice and you probably won’t be bothered by anything besides the waiting times. Other than that, this IHOP is a great place to go to if you’re looking for a good meal! P. S. My favorite is their hash browns. Always perfect, every time!

I first want to start off that when I first went into this restaurant, I was not expecting a 5 star experience. That being said, when I sat down, I was expecting some edible eggs and some clean cups and silverware. I did not get this. Nooo… I got a lipstick stained coffee cup and my boyfriend got horrible eggs. I thought this stuff only existed in movies. Nope, it exists in the IHOP in Davis, CA. Its not like the lipstick was a fain’t marking. Nope, it was a deep mauve color. I would have taken a picture but I was so disgusted I took it the hostess up front and asked for a new one. I honestly thought someone was f@*%king with me. Nope this was real life and I was disturbed. I couldn’t even drink the coffee that they gave us. I was beyond done at this point. Oh the eggs. You would think that a restaurant that specializes in breakfast could at least get eggs right. When you ask for over easy, you are asking for a runny egg. What my boyfriend got was a rock hard egg that is nothing close to over easy. My boyfriend never complains. Doesn’t like to cause a scene. But, at this point of the meal, he was ready to rip someones head off. When I called for a manager, I got a very friendly guy. He was shocked that the cup had lipstick on it and that the eggs were not cooked. He asked if we would like to give back our meals and they would cook new ones. We opted out of doing that, just because we were starving and did not feel like waiting another 20 minutes for another mediocre eggs Benedict. They tried to make it up to us by giving us the bad eggs for free but continued to charge us 6 bucks for the coffee. Are you serious? At this point I just wanted to the out of this place. The last straw was when I went to go get change for the tip. I handed a girl a twenty. She placed it in the drawer and asked what I wanted back. I said«15 in tens and fives and 5 in ones.» She was hesitant and asked«did you give me twenty?» «yes». «are you sure?» OFCOURSEIMSURE!!! This was it. I was so agitated. We paid our tab and left. Of course I didn’t really make a scene because I am super shy but, if I had the balls too, they would of remembered me by name. I’m moving across the street here in a few weeks and i was really looking forward to making this restaurant my usual. Looks like I wont doing that. Good job IHOP.

Eh, the food is under mediocre. But it’s quick diner food and good for the hungry, hungover college student. The service is decent. Don’t order their iced coffee. It’s basically milk and I can’t emphasize it enough! But yeah, it’s not bad, just meh. It’s an IHOP, don’t expect too much.

Just to clarify, this 1 star was about the service. The food is just like any other ihop. We came in during a slow time of the day with TONS of empty tables and the guy at the front(Junior) asked how many people were in our party – since it was 8, he said ok it’ll be a minute. Ended up waiting 10+ minutes. Another party of 3 came in and were waiting a while too. The guy came back and asked, «are you all together?» So I said, «no, there’s 8 of us and 3 of them who need a table too.» And he replies with an extremely rude tone – okay hold on we’re seating you guys first. I don’t need to know about another party right now. What the fuck? This guy literally asked if we were all together and I just clarified that there were two separate parties. And is it really that hard to take note that there’s another party of 3 that need to be seated in an entire fucking restaurant where 90% of the tables are empty? He also later asked me with a very rude tone, «and what do you want?» when asking for my order. Maybe this place should hire someone with decent people skills to work the front. Just a thought. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Overall; the guy named Junior is shit with customers.

The host was not personable. He did not know answers to our questions. Looked bored and not approachable. I’ve been here a couple times and the waitresses are nice. There have been time when I ordered something only to find out that they don’t have it or can’t make it. If you don’t have a certain product anymore, remove it from the menu. If you can’t make something, don’t advertise it on the menu either. Host purposely left the phone on so no one could call. Once we got seated, our waiter’s name was Corey and he was very nice. They need help and more servers here.

The food was very mediocre, actually the omlet the Uc Davis’s Dinning Commons tasted better, and their waffle and sunny side egg was also not very good. However I really love their tomato juice, I would go back for that lol.

Fuck yes. First of all, I walked in just to walk out, smoke, and walk back in with friends. Baked. The waitress totally knew and that made it even better. The service was great and the food was quickly served. She was super fucking chill about it and made sure we received the highest quality of pancakes we could have possibly received. She took on the form of baby Jesus, essentially, and transported us into what you would call a pancake paradise. The food, phenomenal. The waitress, sunny as my sunny side up eggs. The location, impeccable. I hope to see this ihop thrive because goddamnit do they know how to positively represent the ihop foundation. But, she did trick us into buying some pancakes so that was shitty. Other than that 10⁄10 (UPDATE: Nvm. She didn’t charge for the pancakes. Such a true homie.)

Not sure why they tell me tonight they close at 10:00, when their official website says they are open to midnight Sunday to Wednesday(it is Sunday now), and they are open to 2 am on the weekends. Lazy workers, perhaps… probably not. Lazy and crappy management continued, as evidenced by my previous review, most likely

When I lived in Davis, my apartment was 5 minutes away from this place. I didn’t eat here very often. It’s good for when you’re craving breakfast food. I like when they have the unlimited pancake deal. Then I just stuff my face. Service here is pretty slow. Sometimes I feel like they don’t even care about their customers. Once we ate here late at night and there was almost nobody else in the diner. Where did the waitress go? I didn’t get my water or pancakes refilled. Kinda felt like I could just get up and serve myself. Jeez.

Fairly expensive for what it is. There were about 4 seated tables and somehow our waiter still managed to take forever to take our order and bring food out. And he was never around to ask for water refills, which we’d have to do to get water. He was friendly at least. The Cinna-Stacks pancakes were the best thing we had but if you’re watching your figure you should probably avoid them like the plague. Overall I feel about it how I feel about Denny’s — only if you have to. Davis has a Black Bear Diner which I have consistently found better, closer to campus, and similarly priced.

Eh… Honestly, this place is really just«eh.» That’s probably the best way to describe it. I normally don’t go here, but when I do, I normally have a coupon or something for free/cheap meals.(Hooray for being a poor college student!) Service here sucks for the most part. Out of all the times I’ve been here, only once did I have a good experience. There was only one waitress working that night, and she was trying really hard to keep up with all the tables. She really tried to keep a good attitude about everything, and often checked up on us and everyone else. All the other times, I always feel like the waiters/waitresses ignore my table for as long as possible before coming up to us. On national free pancake day, we literally had to wait 35 minutes before we were even helped. There were other tables who came AFTER us and were helped BEFORE us… _ The food here is okay too. I normally get the big steak omelette. Everything is kinda overpriced and I feel the steak omelette is the only thing that’s kinda worth it to get here. Overall, I don’t really recommend this place if you want a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s alright if you have a coupon or if you want to go to eat after a late night party or bars since it is open 24 hours on weekends.

This place is just whatever. I went by myself today because I signed up for the email list. During your«anniversary» they email you a coupon which you could use for any meal worth $ 8.69 + tax. I got the Swedish Crepes International which came with crepes, 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 sausages all for free! My waiter did well, but at the end, he was on the his cell phone, so I ended up waiting 3 minutes to finally hand him my receipt and coupon. But free meal? I really can’t complain. It was pretty delicious too(but I definitely wouldn’t pay $ 10 for it!) In the past, I’ve come here during the free pancakes day, and the place is PACKED. This place isn’t one of the top choices I’d choose if I wanted to eat out, but it’ll do if you’re craving some breakfast foods! On Fridays, they’re open 24⁄7 which is nice :)
