Went to KFC in Davis, the worst service ever. Ordered at the drive thru, had to pull forward while they prepared our order. Sat there for almost 20 minutes waiting for our order, went inside to find out what the hold up was. They realized they gave our order to who knows who, so waited another 20 minutes and Still no luck on our order… They then threw together a hodgepodge order, and sent us out the door without coleslaw, but gave us 6 biscuits not 4, and three things of mashed potatoes… Don’t expect a return visit to KFC from this family any time soon…

My bf and I went through the drive thru; asked multiple times for creamy buffalo sauce, waited almost ten minutes parked in the lot before the guy showed up. He was super unprofessional(I honestly don’t care about cussing but at that point we were irritated), told us he’d forgotten which car he had parked, handed us our bag that didn’t have any sauce in it. My bf goes in, gets the sauce, we come home only to find that I didn’t get the biscuit sub for mashed potatoes I asked for and that neither of our cookies were in the bag.

Three stars for a good experience. I had a meeting at the UC Davis Extension office and an hour for lunch. Coworkers and I went to KFC because it’s a stones-throw away. Place was clean enough, staff were nice enough, etc. You’re here because you need something, anything, and don’t want to get in the car and drive. Would I go back? I mean, I know I’ll have meetings here again so probably. Not a bad experience, nor a fantastic one. Thanks!

Their $ 5 fill-ups really got me. Once they came out with them, I couldn’t stop coming. I get so full off of one — such great value! For me their biscuits are gross, like a flaky piece of cardboard.

Horrible staff. Had to wait ten minutes for potato wedges. It wasn’t until I had made it back home that they didn’t give me the the biscuits and gravy I ordered… So I come back only for them to tell me that they are out of biscuits. Someone then proceeded to hand me a large bowl of Gravy. Uh thanks?

I don’t get KFC very often, but my kids love it; so every now and then. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Recommendation: call in advance and make sure they have what you want. I went to pick up a bucket of original recipe one time and they didn’t have it. So now I call and have them put together a bucket for me before I head over.

I love KFC despite the fact that I can usually count on spending some quality porcelain time after every visit because my intestines don’t share my fondness for greasy salt-infused battered animal parts. I have sampled this patriotic delicacy alongside many Interstate routes in this great nation of ours and I have found KFC’s quality to be pretty universal which is to say not the supermarket blasted to hell in a fusion reactor variety but also not as succulent as Thomas Keller’s evening casual fare at his less expensive joints in the Napa Valley. With that said, I really want to like this location because the employees genuinely seem to be trying and many are the soul of hospitality and grace. However, that can’t erase the fact that for the third time this month when I have tried to purchase hot fried chicken during a customary meal time THEREISNODAMNEDHOTFRIEDCHICKENTOBEHAD. How in the name of Munson can you be operating a chicken restaurant and not have your featured commodity available during popular meal times without a twenty minute wait for said artery narrowing goodness? Do I need to call ahead to verify stock before I enter the drive thru? Make a reservation? I am not sure how to solve this befuddling supply chain quandary but I guess I will just have to either bring a book to read in the dining room or just give in and get the Safeway Club card special down the street and hope my teeth don’t shatter on the overdone crust. Save me, Colonel Sanders, you are my only hope!

This is the worse place to eat. I ordered from the menu, the mashed potatoes were old, the chicken was dry, really dry. I didn’t get a drink so that employee said I can get an extra dish. I asked for extra potatoes. She never put them in the bag, and I didn’t get a receipt. I will not eat here again.

This KFC has always been consistent in its inconsistencies… My roommate and I went through the drive-thru. «Can we place two orders?» and«No» was the response. Fine, whatever… I don’t see why they can’t, but it is what it is. His customer service could have been a little better… and he forgot something that we caught before leaving(a «snacker») even though we kept repeating it to him. Lastly, apparently the phrase«extra gravy» is open to intrepretation. The mashed potato bowl had very little gravy in it… disheartening because we specifically asked repeatedly for extra. About once a year, my roommate and I need to be reminded why we avoid this KFC… and we got our reminder two nights ago.

My boyfriend and I were watching the South Park episode about KFC and suddenly had a craving for it so we decided to come here. Bad mistake. The chicken was just simply not crispy enough because not that many people come here so all the chicken’s just sitting there. The corn wasn’t good either! The only OK item was the mashed potatoes and gravy. On another note, the staff was helpful. I haven’t been to a KFC in years and the menu sure has changed since my last visit. P. S., Cartman made KFC look a lot tastier on South Park :(

KFC is the bae. 2 buckets, 18 pieces of chicken, 5 large sides, 9 biscuits, 0 regrets. If you ever get a bucket, I recommend getting the wedges as a side; they give you so many wedges in a box so big I thought it was a tissue box. A+. #blessed to have KFC in ma life.

I guess to be fair this review should be labeled incomplete — because no food was forthcoming after 20 minute wait. No explanation; no warning when I ordered; nothing — just no food. Maybe I was expecting too much — after all, it was the ungodly hour of 6 o’clock pm on a Sunday night — but there was plenty of traffic around the restaurant; and there appeared to be four or five people working — BUTNOFOOD! All I can say is thank goodness I wasn’t stuck in the drive-through — behind me! Hope the staff enjoyed my order —-

If you know me, you’ll know I LOVEKFC. If I could I’d eat it everyday but calories, money, and well… this KFC just ain’t that good. The quality of the chicken is just OK. Sometimes the chicken is too soggy and sometimes the pieces are too small. I’ve opened up my combo meal before to find the dingiest piece of leg and thigh ever. I know I’m small, but I want my chicken pieces big! In general you can’t go wrong with the sides and there’s a lot of promotions going on all the time like monday there’s a two piece chicken & corn meal for $ 3. I’d also check in your mail for any coupons. WARNING, THEYRUNOUTOFHOTWINGS A LOT. SOALL Y’ALLHOTWINGSFANOUTTHEREBEWARE. I’ve gone through the drive through several times only to be graced by a voice over the speaker«ooo, we out of hot wings.» Needless to say I was very upset. The employees are pretty friendly. I had a 19th birthday party here before and the employees were super accommodating with all the random and loud students coming in. At the end of the day, there’s no other KFC in Davis so this is the best thing out there.

The employees are very nice. They take the extra steps to make your experience pleasant. Also, the food is simply amazing. The gravy for the mashed potatoes is on point, the wedges are tasty, and the hot wings are always seasoned well, crispy, hot, fresh, and not too greasy. There’s no better place to get my fried chicken fix! I took away one star because quite a few times I had to wait 10 or more minutes because they didn’t have a full 20 hot wings available. This even happened a few times when I was coming through the drive through. This seems to occur more often after 8pm, but I have had it happen during the day as well. Quite disappointing. But even though there are problems with wait service, the food keeps me coming back time and time again.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a KFC so I stopped here on my way to a Rivercats game to pick up some food. Usually, when I go through drive-thru through KFC, I usually get screwed in terms of not getting what I ordered. That day, I decided to walk in since I was ordering food for five other people. Each person wanted a different side in their 3 piece meal and I figured it’s easier to do it at the counter. After placing the order and paying, then the waiting started. Then, I get called over and am told that they are short on drumsticks and only have thighs. Then, called over again and said that they don’t have enough breast pieces at the moment and wanted to sub in the boneless original recipe instead. Sigh… sure go for it. After I got all my food in a bag, made sure the chicken was correct. I headed out and met up with my group. We opened up all the meal boxes and… the sides were wrong. Some wanted mac and cheese and they got cole slaw. The sides weren’t as big a deal as they were just placed in the wrong boxes but it’s kind of agitating to go somewhere and not have the most faith about whether they can execute my order. As this is the only KFC in Davis, I doubt that my comments will affect their business but I hope that they can improve upon the visit that I experienced not too long ago.

We were driving to Chico to visit my sister and of course my mom made us stop 30 minutes into the drive to pee and eat. Of course I made her get out while I drove through the drive thru. The guy taking orders at the window was awesome. He had the best dry humor. He made us all giggle. My mom wanted their little Chicken Slider things with cheese. I wanted a small Mashed Potatoes. My sister and son wanted Mac n Cheese. My mom ordered a Mt. Dew and I made fun if her for pretty much the whole drive. I had water, because I’m boring. I was really surprised by how good the bite of Chicken Slider was. Definitely get the cheese. I didn’t have the Mac n Cheese because I’ve always thought KFC’s stuff sucks. My mashed potatoes were ok. I’m not a KFC fan at all. If it wasn’t for my mom this review would have never happened.

The«I ate the bones» commercials, and more importantly the two for one coupon, brought us in to try the new boneless skinless original recipe. We ate there but what a tired dining room. Everything looks run down. There were no chairs at the tables, just built-in benches on one side of the tables, so lots of tables for one. There was a fund raiser car wash going on in the parking lot so maybe the kids took all the chairs outside. The chicken was OK. The coleslaw was OK. We liked that the coleslaw came in a reusable plastic container. The containers look like they will be perfect for picnics and brown bag lunches as they seem water tight. I can’t comment on the biscuit that came with the combo meal as I took it home for the birdies in the backyard. The customer service was very good. We were greeted promptly and our questions answered thoroughly. We’re not really fast food people but every once in a while we get a craving for KFC. Today’s fix should do us for another few years.

The chicken always taste like it was left out for hours, but there have been some rare occasions where I get lucky and get freshly cooked ones . The customer service here is very unprofessional. Although I have not been a personal victim, I have witnessed employees giving attitudes to customers. This is not acceptable. Management needs to do their job better. If anything, use coupons or buy their daily specials to get a good deal. I would never pay full price for their chicken.

I’m not sure what on earth ever possessed me to come back but, yep… check… chicken is still super salty just like last time. At least they’re consistent. However, as a big«thank you,» I am giving them a star back because they’ve finally ditched that annoying sales tactic of trying to trick you into ordering dessert.
