Natural Day Spa

I called my make an appointment. They told us to come in in 20 minutes. when we got there they said they didn’t have any time.

I went for a pampering hour «foot massage» and once the massage began I was surprised to find that it was more of a full body chair style massage. I was asked to change into a gown/​drape and as I closed my eyes the lady immediately began to massage my face and scalp (I hate goo on my face and in my hair!) NOT my feet! By the end, I ended up having my feet as well as my arms, shoulders, legs, and back massaged. All of this was okay — but not what I expected in a «foot massage.»
Awkward & Unpleasant notes:
–The massage wasn’t in a private room. It was in a big black pedicure style chair in the middle of an open room.
–The phone rang frequently and my lady was the only one who answered it which interrupted the massage.
–My lady was the only one who dealt with customers who came in the door. A UCD student came in asking for a job and they were brought into the open room where I was sprawled out in the chair half covered in towels. Not cool…
–There was a male owner/​employee talking on the phone and working on the computer right right around the corner from where I was and several times he walked back and forth through the room. Not very relaxing…
–I notified the lady that I was pregnant at the start of the massage. Later, she began to knead my stomach pretty roughly and I again told her that I was pregnant and to avoid my stomach. I didn’t feel confident that she understood what I meant which made me tense up, instead of relax.
All in all: nice people, but not a pleasant or relaxing experience. I won’t be back.

This spa is located in Alphabet Moon’s old spot and you would never believe that it use to be a toy store. The interior is beautiful! It has a very inviting and relaxing ambiance.
The customer severice was impecable, even close to closing. We were invited in and offered drinks imetiatly. After making us a cup of tea, the owner gave us a tour. The spa has a sana and shower, something I dont belive any other massage places in Davis offer.
The estitician, Hannah, had just left for the evening moments before we got there, but she quickly came back when the ower called her and greeted us with a big smile. I’m kind of picky about my eyebrows, but Hannah did a beautiful job. She took her time to make sure that my brows were even and shaped well, but was efficient and worked quickly. And when i was finished, my skin wasn’t even red! Other than looking much better, there was no tell tale signs that I had just been waxed.
And here is the icing on the cake: my eyebrow wax was only $ 8!
I will definetly be going back for a massage and body waxing in a few weeks to recover from the holiday madness!

This is a great little place. I just walked in without and appointment (weekday afternoon), and had the hot stone massage after sitting in their steam shower for about 20 minutes.
James was a great masseuse. The walls are a bit thin, so I coule hear all of the conversations at the front desk du, but other than that the facility was really nice.
I also had a brow and lip wax. She did a good job on the wax, but used vaseline afterward instead of hydrocortisone, so you might want to bring your own and ask her to skip the vaseline to avoid a breakout. You really can’t beat the prices either! Did I mention the complimentary water or wine while you wait?

I went in to check out the new massage place. The facilities are the best I’ve seen in Davis. The service is wonderful. Besides just looking great the massage was the best massage I’ve ever had. I walked out feeling so light and relaxed and am still feeling the effects a week later.
