Fields are GREAT! The batting cages are SORRY! Wish they would invest a little bit in the batting cages, what a waste!

Immaculate park, the best softball fields I’ve seen yet. So much shade around the bleachers and speaking of bleachers, they are completely concrete. No dingy looking bleacher seats, where you have to bring your own padding. Huge parking lots, and nearby hotels to choose from. I don’t like to drive 30 miles outside of SF without spending the night during tournament weekends. Travel ball is serious stuff, I will hate when we have to go out of State and really travel. Besides the heat almost giving me a heat stroke in Davis, I’d request all tournaments to be played here — not going to happen.

Ended up coming here three straight days to watch my nephew’s nine and under traveling baseball team. Beautiful space that is fairly well maintained and quite spacious. They have several playground areas for the smaller children and three nice baseball fields. Behind one of the fields are batting cages, but I’m not sure how one gets access into there, since the doors were locked when I tried(Don’t ask why I wanted to go in there lol). Also, parallel to the main parking lot is a soccer field. Actually watched games at all times of the day here. First day was a late evening game that started even later than scheduled, because of the previous game. Game started at 8:30 and ended around two hours later. It was very enjoyable to watch the game in the evening here, since it wasn’t a sizzling inferno like it would be the next two days. They also kept it very well lighted and all the kids were excited to be playing under them :) The day games were a nightmare for me. Saw the kiddos play a game at noon and also at 2pm; it gets brutally hot here and there are not too many shaded areas with good views of the action. A lot of parents brought those shaded overhead tents to cover them. They also have a concession area that was actually pretty reasonably priced, though I drove off site to get food and drink each time. Their quarterfinal game was at 8am and that was also a wonderful time, because it was breezy and you can still smell the freshness of the early morning. Great family atmosphere, but I do get a little worried that the playground is so close to the parking lot. I saw a few stragglers wandering around and was very paranoid about a possible kidnapping, which kind of annoyingly kept my attention off the games in spurts(but the former is obviously leagues more important, so not really annoying). A word to the wise to the parents that come here: I’d definitely keep an eye on things since I saw so many of the parents nonchalantly approve of their children going to the playgrounds, while they continued to watch their sons on the field. Fantastic place for a family outing or for sporting events. There was also a men’s senior baseball tourney going on with some guys I know from San Jose in the next field over, so this place can cater to children of all ages(those that are actually children and the grown men who still love the game of baseball). Highly recommended, but just be careful since the layout of the area makes me a little worried for the kids(says the one who envisions every possible worst case scenario and has paranoia running through his mind 24⁄7). Still, be careful and have fun, because it’s hard not to at a place like this!
