Never would I step foot in this place again. Actually never would I go to Davis for boba drinks again. I took maybe two sips of my Lavender coconut tea and it tasted of only lavender and crap. I threw it away. My cousin got one of their special drinks and it was chotaro or something like that and it tasted like watered down chocolate milk with protein powder! OMG I was sooooooo upset it was crazy. People there were not helpful either, which is probably why I ended up with such a disgusting drink. I was asking her questions and she didn’t know how to answer and was annoyed with me. I’m like geez I ask questions because I needed more info. The food was ok. At least I didn’t want to die from eating that. My son wouldn’t even smell the drinks. I have had bad milk teas and drinks but I never threw away a drink without barely drinking it at all. This was a first for me. I would never tell anyone to try this place. Absolutely awful. I wish I could give it a negative star.

Very tasty popcorn chicken n fries. One of the few late night spots for boba around the area. The boba is usually pretty good texture and flavor wise. Sweet, not too stiff(honey boba?). I like the banana milk tea and lavender milk tea. Yea. Norcal needs more late night boba places. Kinda small inside however and usually pretty packed.

Can get a little crowded a night, but a good boba shop that is open pretty late is hard to find. Love the idea of creating your own drink flavors, and they also have a wide variety of toppings. They also sell food here and they have games so it’s a great place to hangout with friends.

Not the best, and not the worst. Customer service was good, but not overly friendly. Got 2 milk tea drinks and neither were filled all the way. Not really worth $ 4 each. Tea tasted watered down. I don’t see myself coming here again.

With all of the new boba places we have in Davis, Teabo is definitely one of those in the middle of the pack; although the ones that are worst(in my opinion) are beginning to close down and reopening under well-established franchises. Teabo has definitely been around longer than most places in Davis. It opens up at around the same time as any other boba shop, but closes at 2am(makes dd’ing easier when you can grab yourself a sugary drink in south davis). Also, this is probably one of the few boba places that still serves food/snacks to go alongside your drink, so that it makes socializing a lot easier. However, their drinks doesn’t come to par with the other places in Davis. Their drinks seem like they come from powder and an overbearing amount of syrup. Being able to mix flavors like T-Pumps is great, but if your base isn’t good(the tea) you don’t have much to work with. I’d definitely come here after 12am and was craving boba, but there are so many options now, it’s hard to choose Teabo when the sun is out

Pretty mediocre boba and it can be kinda pricey for the boba. I give it 3 stars just because it’s inconveniently open super late in case you want a late night snack or just want some boba at 1 in the morning Also, they have one of the best employees, his name is Jordan! He makes the experience at teabo exceptional!

I live like a 5 minute walk from Teabo, so it’s the boba place that I frequent the most in Davis. It’s a pretty solid place– they make their drinks fast and with real tea, and the popcorn chicken is fresh and crispy. They use Square and have an electronic stamp system, so you don’t have to carry a physical card. You have to actually notify the cashier that your stamp card is full before it gets redeemed. It can get extremely crowded during late hours, so if you plan on snagging a table, you’d better come earlier. At the restaurant, there are various board games to choose from, as well as Polaroids that decorate the walls. If you and your friends want to be featured on the wall, simply ask an employee if they can take your picture. If you tag them on Instagram, you can even have your picture featured on the tv screen. There’s no wifi here! It’s only a slight inconvenience though. If you’re hanging out at Teabo with your friends, you should be focused on conversation instead of looking at your phone. If you want to study here, don’t expect to be able to use the Internet on your laptop. Overall, I give Teabo 4 stars, because they don’t have cream foam for their drinks(which is my favorite thing in the world). If they ever do add cream to their drink options, I’ll change it to 5 stars!

One of my favorite milk tea places in the Davis area. A little out of the way in Davis but worth the drive for what they have. Milk tea here is great because they use actual tea leaves. You can even smell the leaves up front in these little containers. But I don’t come for the milk tea. Great that they use real tea leaves but the milk tea is too milky for my taste. The red bean blizzard is absolutely the best though!!! Not on the menu so you have to ask for it. I also get it with soy milk for a little added sweetness that seems to blend perfectly. Popcorn chicken here is also a hit. Good portion, seasoning is good, chicken pieces are big, and there isn’t a bunch of breading or anything extra. Definitely recommend getting an order and maybe sharing a large order with someone.

Eh! Teabo… it was the place to be, but after so many new boba stores opening, it’s just not that great. The tea drinks aren’t as flavorful as the other places, and they use Torani syrup! The drink that I am obsessed with there though is the Thai Tea Blizzard! It’s amazing! It’s perfect on a hot day and I don’t believe any other boba place in town offers it. They offer a variety of flavors that other stores don’t offer, but I would never try them because they don’t sound like they would be good with tea. The popcorn chicken is not bad, it just takes forever to make. They give pretty big pieces. I used to call in before just to place my order so I wouldn’t have to wait as long. Get the sauces that they offer when they give it to you, it’s like a thai chili sauce and some spicy mayo like sauce! Both delicious. I’ll only be back for that Thai Tea Blizzard, but at least that’s something.

I went here to by snacks before going to the Library to study for my exams. I bought 2 honey green milk tea, one with pudding, the other with boba. I also got a large size of popcorn chicken with a side of rice. The Milk teas are just OK to me. It could be better and thank goodness it’s not bad. The pricing was also average. It was $ 4.50 for a large and 1 topping each. The taste was slightly lacking compared to others that I’ve had. There’s also not a huge selection of drinks you can get so eventually you’ll become a regular to one drink. I always ended up getting the green milk tea here as it’s the one I like most compared to all the other options. The popcorn chicken is pretty good. It was $ 7.50 for a large and $ 1 for the side of rice. It came in a huge portion of chicken. Always ask for the side of spicy ranch as it’s pretty good with the chicken. I ordered this to go. By the time I got to my destination, it was pretty soggy, which was a downer. I was going from Teabo to the Library on campus. When I realized, it was a bit too late. Apparently the togo containers had little holes in them that you can push down. They didn’t push it down nor did they tell me. That would’ve saved the popcorn chicken from being as soggy. It would be best if you just eat there as the texture & taste will be there.

As I drove across the city of Davis, I decided to come to this boba café that I’m likely interested of. Teabo Café is the name delivers the finest boba drinks, teas, and snacky appetizers all day and night! As I entered their doors, the ambient is quite relaxing and on-going as I welcomed there. The concept is much similar inside like the design(i.e. Hokee Poke in Elk Grove) with amounts of plush pandas and bamboos across the small room. There’s also have numerous plays of South Korean K-Pop music too which I can hear the sounds very clearly as I dined in. The baristas and cookers are doing a good job here for making the customer like me a fine service. Despite the popularity of yesterday’s special on 2÷10÷2016, it can get busy to accommodate customer’s orders which I’m quite concerned about it. I hope they need more customer service improvements to make this place faster and neatly. Otherwise, I have no problems at all. Now onto the food and drinks! I ordered a customized boba drink in a small sized cup, and a small basket of popcorn chicken. For the customized drink, you can start a cup size of your choice especially the type of the drink(i.e. milk tea, flavored tea, etc.) Then you choose your fruit flavor to make the drinks more delightful which I chose the lemon flavor for my drink. Finally, you can add optional of toppings whether if it’s regular sized boba, grass jelly, popping boba, and so forth. As I slurped my creative boba drink, it tasted awesome! I can feel the flavors of lemon and the green tea combined in one! The boba is eatable and chewy as I chew right thru into my mouth. Certainly, the popcorn chicken is the«bomb dot com!» The chicken is fully cooked and prepared well which I can feel the battered taste especially the seasoning too! Much flavorful than T4’s popcorn chicken. A great, deserving snack meal! There’s plenty of parking available, so you can park anywhere you want near or far. In the end, Teabo Café is the coolest, and the most outstanding boba café shop that I’ve ever visited right here in Davis. Perfect for friends and family gatherings! A worthy visit! My rating: 4 solid stars.

I went on a Friday night to hang out with a friend and we decided to grab some food as we talked. I ordered a small popcorn chicken and Thai fries. POPCORNCHICKEN They now have two sizes available. This is great because previously, there was one(regular for $ 5) which was huge if you just wanted a snack. However, the new«large» is the same size as the old«regular,» but for $ 2.50 more! The new«small» is in fact smaller, but $ 5 — the same price as the previous«regular.» What! It might still taste good but the value is not there at all. Come on Teabo! THAIFRIES This is good value. You get a large Styrofoam container full of fries, which I think is worth $ 5. My only beef with these is that they were a little too sweet and had a little too much garlic. Tone those down a notch, and these would be great.

Craving good boba, my husband and I ventured all the way out to Davis to try out this Teabo Café(we’re located in Sacramento) and we were definitely not disappointed. Coming from a very Asian populated area(LA), there were many many good and trendy boba shops. Sacramento doesn’t really deliver in their boba game, so Teabo Café really delivered for us. When we got to this café it was already midnight, but this place is opened till 2pm, and it was still packed with customers. The line was sort of long, but that was ok because it gave us time to discuss and choose what we wanted. We ordered a side of popcorn chicken and two drinks. I ordered the banana milk green tea, small, and no ice with regular sweetness. My husband ordered the rose green milk tea with no ice and regular sweetness. The wait for our orders were not long at all, we also found a place to sit considering how packed it was, they actually had quiet a lot of seats. When we got our drinks and popcorn chicken, we were not let down(to say the least). My banana milk tea was really good, never having anything like that before. I really was not let down, it wasn’t too sweet but it wasn’t bland either and I could definitely taste the banana and the boba was very soft and sweet. My husband also loved his drink as well, rose green milk tea. It had a slightly creamy consistency but wasn’t too overwhelming, but the rose flavor should have been a little more rose flavored. Our popcorn chicken was also up there. Crispy on the outside and literally juicy on the inside. Some experiences we’ve had with popcorn chicken were that it was either too crispy or too soft. But this popcorn chicken was exceptional. Overall Teabo Café is a really good shop y’all foodies should try at least once. It’s a little out there if you’re from Sacramento, but it’s definitely worth the drive, especially at night it only takes about 20 minutes on the freeway. Also a good drive and a cool night out :^)

The menu is simple and easy to follow. You can seriously customize your boba to exactly the way you want it! I like how they have nondairy options like almond or soy milk. The drinks are made with fresh ingredients as well. Their popcorn chicken is the best! I definitely think it’s worth coming here just for that. The chicken pieces are pretty big as well and doesn’t have that extra fried batter that I dislike. I think the selling point is that this opens very late. 2AM to be exact. Great for late night snacks after bars or late night study sessions. :)

Teabo’s boba are always nice and soft and chewy. I also appreciate that they have both hot and cold options as well as a nice variety of flavors to choose from. When I get the cold milk tea the bubbles are not quite as chewy as in other places though. They also have board games and cards to play while you’re drinking. My favorite combination is to get bubble tea here and then grab a burrito at dos coyotes. All in all I give Teabo 4 out of 5 bobas!

Great boba place for South Davis night owls. Their milk teas are different in the sense that it seems to be tea with flavor added in instead of each flavor being it’s own mix. Still tasty though. Boba is pretty good and the fries are delicious!

Teabo is where my heart is in Davis. Prior to all these other boba places opening up, like SnoCrave, MandRo, and ShareTea, Teabo was the place to go. Teabo prides itself in having fresh and quality snacks, and I have to agree with them. This is the best place in Davis to get popcorn chicken. Now, don’t expect the kind of popcorn chicken that you get from Quickly’s or Old Tea House that’s soaked in oil and is just coated in breadding. No, expect semi-oily chicken, with a thin coating, and a delicious meat in every bite. I crave Teabo popcorn chicken all the time! And now that I’m back in the Bay, I don’t know where to find chicken like Teabo’s. :(You can even make a meal out of it by adding rice for a couple extra bucks. I also really enjoy their Thai fries. I don’t know what it is, but it’s just SUPER spicy. No freaking joke. The only complaint I’d have to have about the fries, are the fries itself. They’re not as starchy as I’d like my fries to be, so they don’t have that soft, potato-ness that you look for when you bite in to a french fry. Their spicy ranch? mayo? and sweet chili sauces are the best! And I think it really brings together all of the snacks that you can find here. I also love getting a Rose Green Tea from here during the Spring, because that’s unfortunately the only time it’s available. The floral taste mixed with the richness of the tea really makes it a refreshing drink for a hot spring day, because we all know how hot it gets in Davis. When I feel like getting add ons, I love that their jellies are star shaped, it makes it that much more exciting. Heheh. Try the honeydew snow blizzard for a milky, dewy freshness. Teabo will always hold a special place in my heart because I’ve spent countless hours here, from getting closer to new friends, to just playing Uno for hours on end with my really good friends, Teabo has done it all for me. This place has been a big part of my college experience and thus, the four stars. :)

Okay, so this place is not CRAZYAMAZING, but I’m not saying it’s terrible. I use to live 5 minutes from this place so I got it. Constantly. It’s a great place to just chill and hangout, though the inside is not all that big. It can get packed pretty fast. Plus, they do not have wi-fi so that cuts the chances of studying there. The drinks are pretty good. I particularly love the Kumquat Green Tea with chia seeds. I tend to avoid the boba because they can be a hit or a miss; super chewy on one day, or super soft on another. The food is decent too, but the wait is pretty long. I’m usually ¾ done with my drink when my food arrives.

I have been coming to Teabo with my boyfriend and trying new flavors each time. Some flavors are better than others, but overall nothing is a true disappointment. Let me first say that I love the cute mascot of the Panda. He’s adorable! But getting to the nitty gritty… the flavors I have tried are taro, honey and guava. The guava was delicious! My favorite by far, even though it is very sweet. The taro and honey were decent, but not the best I have had. The honey was unique and was very refreshing. The taro was a creamy treat, but not the best taro I have had. I am very picky about taro flavors, since it is my favorite to get normally. The boba here is very fresh and they do not drown your drink in boba which is a huge positive for me. I also have had great customer service and there is a good amount of options. There is less options than say Quickly, but they seem to make everything fresh which is a huge plus. I want to come here and check out the fun games they offer! It looks like a great place to come hangout with friends and enjoy a delicious beverage.

I’ve been to Teabo on two occasions only and it’s been hit or miss. On my first visit I got an iced green milk tea with boba and it was pretty good. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, I could tell that they used real milk and the boba was soft and chewy. Bueno. On my second visit, I got a hot green milk tea. It was crappy… no green tea flavor but somehow still bitter, and incredibly watered down. I poured it(and $ 4 of my hard earned money) down the drain. No bueno. If you go to Teabo, stick to the iced drinks. I could go back to Teabo again, but probably not anytime soon. Pouring full drinks down the drain is kind of annoying.

Solid boba and snack options in South Davis! This hip boba stop has unique flavor combinations for teas and slushes, savory snacks, and constant k-pop and c-pop videos. My favorite drinks here are the chocolate taro milk tea and honey green milk tea. The boba here is sweet and consistently good. They also have star jellies that remind me of the jewels Hamtaro the hamster used to treasure. Lots of customization options and different seasonal milk tea flavors to satisfy the boba lover. The ingredients aren’t super fresh and usually powder, but the drinks are still tasty and they’ll even remake it for you if you aren’t satisfied. The popcorn chicken here is some of the best I’ve had with good seasoning, herbs, and not too thick bread-skin. The orange chicken is also good. My only complaint about food is that the kitchen sometimes takes a while, expect a 10 minute minimum wait for any food. Teabo also does fundrasiers to support student groups! Overall a great Davis business and a good place to grab boba in cowtown.

Just your mediocre milk tea joint in Davis, but for many UCD students, this place is in close proximity to those living in South and East Davis. I would probably rate this place as average as I am from the Bay Area where a milk tea store is in every exit that you take, literally. My favorite and safe drink to try here is their Greet Tea with Peach(flavor) and lychee jelly. Don’t forget that lychee jelly adds as extra sweetener, so you might want to adjust accordingly to your taste preference! Two weeks ago, I noticed that they have a winter menu and they looked interesting and promising. For snacks, I have tried their thai fries which is too overpowering for me. I never liked thai or sweet and sour tasting foods tbh. But others have raved about them and their popcorn chicken is different from what one expects to buy back home in the bay area. They are extremely generous in portion size here(mega plus), so you really get your«bang for your buck»! I am not a fan of either snacks, but those seem to be the top 2 snacks that are consumed here. I live down the street, but rarely stop by unless a friend wants to. if you’re looking for quality tasting tea, I would suggest going to Mandro(: While Sharetea is just an overwhelming sugar rush with their sweetness level and its been the same no matter what location I have been to!

When in Davis, this is my go to tea place(emphasis on when in davis). For one thing it shares a plaza with safeway and many other smaller stores, so it’s a spacious lot with lots of parking. They also close at 2am for them late night cravings. Their service is friendly and the atmosphere of this place is cute. They have board games for you to play while drinking, but most of the time its super packed and you probably won’t get a table anyway. My girlfriend showed me their CHOTARO which is chocolate and taro. As weird as it sounds, it’s actually a really, really great combination of flavors! There may be some powdery chunks at the bottom, so if you get it, definitely stir it up some before drinking. Much good!

Not my favorite boba place but it’s convenient and does the job when you’re craving boba. I’m pretty boring and usually just get their milk tea. It’s decently priced and the drink is good. I don’t see myself trying any of their other flavors just because I’m not all that adventurous. I knocked off one star because on a recent visit, I discovered a piece of metal inside my drink. When I brought it to one of the workers attention, they quickly remade me another one. My favorite snack at this place is definitely the Thai fries. I unfortunately haven’t tried anything else, again I stick to what I know and like. The fries are nice and crispy, almost like in n out but not quite. It’s also really spicy and flavorful from the sweet chili sauce. They put tons of chopped garlic and fresh basil as well. They do put A LOT of garlic, so if you’re not a fan of garlic be cautious of this. The flavors can be a bit much after you’re halfway through but just save it for later. Their portions are very big. The small size can definitely feed 2 – 3 people and it’s decently priced. I wouldn’t recommend this place for studying. I personally don’t enjoy their music selection here, but it’s just a minor thing. This place is cool to come and just play some of their games and get a snack. They’re also open really late which is a plus. Can get busy here and there but not too bad. If you’re curious what boba place to try out of the five billion that Davis has to offer, this one should be one of the first.

I come to Teabo often because I live right across the street and my boyfriend craves boba often. However it’s definitely not up to par with other boba places in Davis. Pros: + basic flavored teas are not bad, but then again they’re just syrup and tea and boba. + open late + good late night craving foods + nice place to hang out on weekends and study on weekdays + reasonably priced + what I would recommend: honey milk green tea, chotaro milk tea(although powdery at times), their blizzards, mango green tea, passion fruit green tea. all with boba, I’m not a fan of their other toppings Cons: If you find something you like here, stick with it. I got the passion fruit milk tea with mango jelly yesterday and it tasted god awful. Straight up had this alcoholic aftertaste. The jelly was hard and the texture was gross AND the drink was super powdery. I couldn’t even finish it and just threw it away. — Popcorn chicken tastes good the first couple times but I’ve gotten so sick of it. Also it’s not up to par with other asian boba shops that sell popcorn chicken. — Thai fries: people say they love these so I tried them… god I couldn’t even eat more than 5 I did not like them at all. — Prices not on menu Overall: Come to Teabo if you live in the neighborhood for the convenience and you’re just looking to satisfice. There are better boba places in Davis.

Very mediocre boba milk tea(black tea) and popcorn chicken. The drink was on the sour side and the boba was slimy. The popcorn chicken was a generous serving but was essentially the same as the version that Old Tea House serves. It’s not the worst boba I’ve had in Davis but very far from the best. The service was ok. The cashier could be more professional but the kitchen staff is good. Probably the only praise I’ll give this place.

+/-THE FOOD I once used to LOVE Teabo when I was a young freshman and sophomore. Times have changed and I decided to pay good ol’ Teabo a visit to walk down memory lane. I ordered my usual, peach green tea with aloe. However, what I once remembered as a refreshing and delicious drink turned to be a very bland and boring cup of liquid. The tea tasted like tap water and did not have enough peach taste. The aloe was my favorite topping from ANY drink place because it used to be really crunchy and fresh tasting. However, when I recently had it again, it was very soft and not crunchy at all. I also ordered the Cajun fries($ 3 for a small, which IMO, is a great deal since the small is actually pretty big already) and was met with disappointment once again. Although the fries were decently fried and crispy, the Cajun flavor was just lacking. + THEENVIRONMENT One of the perks of Teabo is the amount of seats there are despite how small the place looks. There are at least 9 different tables inside the shop and 3 smaller tables outside. They even have a small shelf for board games, including playing cards, Settlers of Catan(what a great choice!!!), and Connect 4. The location of the shop is also very ideal because it is across from a lot of apartment complexes that house many college students. It’s also across the parking lot from Safeway so it attracts a lot of shoppers.

Late night munchies? This is the place to go. Strangely enough we mostly go late at night. 12−1am. I’m usually pretty critical about how I take my Thai tea but this place does the job. It does varies on who makes the drinks. Also the snacks they provide(Thai fries, popcorn chicken) is actually pretty good. The atmosphere is pretty chill, it is usually busy when we get there, even this late. Mostly packed with Students either studying or hanging with friends. Plus they have a little bookshelf of board games! So if your not in the mood to go out partying/drinking and you just want to relax then teabo will do the trick for you!

I came here when I was visiting my friend at Davis. It’s located conveniently in a plaza along with Safeway and other stores, it was pretty easy to find. Plus, it was really close to where my friend lives. I wasn’t too sure on what to order so I decided to go with my usual drink and got the Mango Green Tea with grass jelly.(I also got light sweet). I was kind of shocked when I had my first sip because it was really sweet. It was too sweet. I guess they didn’t get the memo that I wasn’t less sweet? It’s not a bad drink. I could still taste the tea in it, but it was way too sweet. I did the the grass jelly most though since it tasted pretty authentic and didn’t seem like it was drown in syrup. Overall, I think this is a decent place to grab a drink after lunch or dinner. It’s nothing special to be honest. Since there aren’t a lot of boba places around in Davis, Teabo does have a «bigger» menu and flavors compared to others. It’s worth a try.

Food is worth a 4 and drinks are worth a 3. I wish j could give it a 3.5. Honestly I have warmed up to their Jasmine Milk Tea recently but I really like their popcorn chicken with their spicy ranch! Argh. I tried to like you, I promise! Things just didn’t work out and I’m sorry, I must move on now. I had this place bookmarked and thought the perfect time to go would be after watching the avengers. Late night snacks? Sure, those are always cool. We walked in around midnight and the place was PACKED so packed, we had to sit outside for quite some time until people started leaving. The girl at the front counter seemed like she didn’t want to be there so you could already imagine customer service wasn’t all that great. I ordered a mango guava tea with aloe and lychee jelly, popcorn chicken, and Thai fries to share with my bf and cousin . As soon as we got seated inside, I soon realized that it got super loud and all I could hear was the table in front of ours talking mad shit about their friend who wasn’t even there. My drink didn’t taste like anything special, in fact, it tasted no different from any other boba shop. The popcorn chicken was a huge disappointment. After seeing pictures, I was hoping they’d taste as good as they look but that definitely wasn’t the case. Big, rock hard, dry, pieces of chicken with no flavor is how they were presented that night. Thai fries were soggy, thick, cut up fries that were drenched in both an overly sweet sauce and a strong garlicky sauce with Thai basil sprinkled on top. I’d be down for a second try but not anytime soon. They’re open late so that’s definitely a plus !
