I love this pizza place, probably my favorite pizza by the slice place. Plus they have plenty of beer, and they have great combo meals and aren’t too expensive. Plus the Thai Fries! Only con is that sometimes the wait can be lengthy!

Not sure why people like village pizza so much. Just go here. It’s better.

Overrated and average. I came for the infamous Thai Fries and NY style pizza. What I got was soggy shoestring fries drizzled with some cheapo sweet and sour sauce garnished with a few thin slices of jalapeño. As an out of state student from NY lets just say the pizza is bested by «Signore DiGiorno’s» frozen selection. Those who think the food is actually good probably had one too many drinks at the bar and should write their reviews AFTER sobering up.

Two words: THAIFRIES! I know this is a pizza place– hell, it’s in the name of the restaurant, for god sakes! But hands down, they have the most amazing thai fries. Sweet thai chili sauce with pepper flakes, jalapeño and cilantro over thin, crispy fries… I’m salivating just thinking about it. Everything about it is perfect. The place gives a great portion, too. My group of friends(4 of us total) shared one plate of fries, along with a large pizza and hot wing(thai chili flavored, to match the fries). We were completely satisfied. I know the hawaiian pizza(pineapple w/ham) is a hit or miss for many people, but it’s always a hit for me. I think it’s called the Big Kahuna here at Uncle Vito’s. It’s not crazy special or anything, but it’s good for a pizza place! I prefer this pizza place over most, despite it being slightly more expensive. I recommend the hot wings too! It’s great to have ‘em since they have so many sport games playing and can easily be a sports bar. And what better way to watch football than a side of wings along with that pizza?! I don’t really come here for the bar scene, though they do have a variety of beers and hard liquor. This place just gets SO crowded on game days that I just want to avoid getting trampled on. Though, I did try their watermelon lemonade. It’s very sweet, and you can barely taste the alcohol. It went really well with our order. Maybe I’ll stop by this place again when we go bar hopping and I’m craving fries at 1AM.

Why did it take me so long to try this place? I’ve been living in Davis for over three years and always passed up this place. I went on a Monday evening to watch the Warriors game and was glad. They have plenty of tv’s and lots of seating and an outside seating area. So this is the perfect place if you’re looking to catch a game. We made it in time for happy hour and got two tangerine wheat beers and two cocktails. My bf and I also shared an order of Thai fries and a slice of tomato pesto pizza. This came out to $ 20. Perfect for the college budget. If you’ve never been and didn’t read up on some reviews, it could be a little confusing when you walk in and try to order. Order at the bar, you’ll get a number and then pick up near the big window next to the condiments. Food was solid and inexpensive. The food came out fast and quick and it was delicious. Pizza is pizza to me. It doesn’t take much for me to be impressed by pizza but the tomato pesto was amazing. Super yummy and you get a large slice for $ 4. You can definitely split a slice and fries with another person. The Thai fries were awesome as well. I still prefer teabos but these were good. Service was okay… The bartender could have been a little more welcoming. But it looked like she was the only one so I guess she was busy? All in all, I would definitely come back here to eat with friends or to watch a game. Great spot in Davis.

The best place in Davis to watch any game, especially NFL. Mason is the best a bartender in town, and makes the best bloodies in NorCal(it’s the veggie Worcestershire). They have the coldest beers, the cheapest slices and fries combinations that cap off any game day. If you get the Thai or buffalo fries, I recommend you get«sauce on side» to avoid the ensuing soggy mess.

I didn’t like the pizza at all. It didn’t remind me of NY pies and overall the food was very mediocre.

ALLYOUCANEATSLICESFROM11:30AM-1PMONTHEWEEKDAYS?! I think you’re calling my name! Came here for the first time because I was craving some pizza, and my friend and I wanted to try a different joint. We were surprised that there was an all you can eat option for such a low cost! Your all you can eat pizza also comes with a refillable fountain drink. Ugh, music to a struggling college student’s ears, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the slice. They’re all fairly large and there’s always an abundance of toppings on your slice, so you definitely get the bang for you buck here at Uncle Vito’s. Very bar-like ambiance and can get busy during those pesky game nights. Lol. I’ve come back to Vito’s on several occasions after that first surprise. Now, you’ve got to have a go at the Thai fries, because they’re AMAZING. The fries are the perfect cut and fried to perfection. All of the sauces and herbs really make it what it is. Warning: a bit spicy for those of you who can’t handle the heat. I wish I could come here more often!

I’m not sure how we did it, but almost every place we stopped in Berkley was actually a chain and had a friend in Sacramento. This is the closest and quickest food joint near the theater. We had 20 minutes to get back so we ordered their special of the day and shared the piece. It arrived quickly and tasty. I was afraid it would taste too much of feta, but it didn’t even have a hint of the strong cheese. The place was clean and friendly. The customer service was outstanding. The guy at the bar filled up glasses for ice water right there after we ordered. I’m used to having to do it myself at the soda fountain. I’d go back as it filled our need perfectly. We were on time for our movie.

THAI fries Thai fries Thai fries! So good here. Kinda overpriced but ahh it’s good. I’m slightly disappointed because I ordered it Togo once and it was lacking so much compared to the one in the restaurant. There was no cilantro and barely any sauce. Still tasty though. Their pesto pizza was good but expensive just for a slice.

Probably my favorite pizza place in Davis(I’m looking at you woodstocks). Great place to get some beers and watch a game. And although I will vouch for their pizza any day, I will have to admit that the best part about Vito’s is actually their selection of fries. In particular the THAIFRIES. Ask for extra jalapeños if your mouth is immune to «standard spiciness.» Bonus: they have carbonated water as a fountain soda option!!!

Been here several times before with my family. This is the go to place in Davis to get killer slice or whole pizza. Stop in have a beer and catch up with friends, catch a sports game on their one many TVs they have set up, or even for the basic thing Killer FOOD! First time I was brought here was to try garlic fries(apparently its a staple here on the west coast, LoL I don’t know better I’m from Canada), and OMMMMMMMMMMMG I’m in LOVE with Garlic Fries! I never knew it could taste so good. The other times I’ve come back I’ve eaten their Thai fries minus the Serrano peppers, Big Kahuna pizza, BBQ Chicken pizza, Go Aggies pizza, mild hot wings. It’s great prices fantastic food, the staff there are super friendly and its a pretty laid back causal setting.

I love this place! Everytime I’m here I say I’m going to try something new, but I end up getting the same thing because I’m so in love with it. I order the tomato pesto pizza slice and their thai fries! I swear I can eat all the fries by myself, but I try to share for the sake of my stomach later. This is a great place to watch any major sports game(basketball, baseball, or football), and there’s plenty of room to sit back, eat your food, and sip on a nice cold beer while you do so. I’ve never personally done it, but I know they have $ 5 slice of pizza + beer deal on select nights. I’ll have to check that out, because that’s such an awesome deal!

Was visiting a friend in davis and he took me out to this spot. Ambience is super chill and staff was extremely friendly. We ordered the bbq pizza, thai fries and beer(I got the beer of the day/week and you even get to sample it). Order total was about $ 35 for food for two. The bitterness of the beer paired well with the smokiness of the pizza. The chicken was nice and moist, and I liked the tanginess of the bbq sauce which wasn’t overly sweet or overpowering. The onions added a nice sweet touch to it. The thai fries was definitely something I’ve never tried before. Sweet and sour flavored sauce with a kick of jalapenos all drizzled over thin-cut crispy fries… saying I was mind blown would be an understatement. It was thai-rrific! All in all, great lax spot tucked in davis. I’d definitely come back and try more of their food! Not 5 stars since it is a little pricey.

+ THAIFRIES YUUUM. I love that sweet chili sauce on top of the fries in addition with the pepper flakes and cilantro. The fries here are super thin so they’re extra crispy when you bite into them. I’m not as big of a fan of the ranch, but the sweet chili sauce is the bomb. They give a generous serving of the fries so it’s great to share it with a friend. + THEENVIRONMENT Very bar-like setting. When you enter in, it’s kind of confusing where you order because you don’t really see a register around. You have to go to the bar to order the food and pick up the food at another corner of the restaurant. It’s rather dark inside but there’s a lot of TVs in all corners so you’ll never miss a sports game here. There are a few booths, some high tables, and bar seating inside the restaurant. Will have to try the pizzas here next time!

Their Thai fries are so good!!! Who knew sweet chili sauce and French fries would be such a good combination?! It is a must try! Unfortunately that was all I had when I went, but I can’t wait to try their other items next time!

This is a cool place to grab pizza by the slice, a whole pizza, some beer, and sit around a table and enjoy yourself. There are only 4 or so pub style small tables that are outside so it’s not good for outside seating unless you get there early enough to snag a seat. Otherwise there’s booth style and pub tables inside, and then the bar top of course. They have some TV’s, at least 6, to watch whatever game is on between MLB, NBA, college sports. Whatever you do, get the Thai fries! This was the hallmark of our visit. There are other places you can find a spot to watch a game but I like this bc it has a pretty decent beer selection and pizza by the slice. Will be back for sure! The bartenders were attentive but sometimes I felt could’ve been a little friendlier.

Delicious Pizza. Good portions. good price. Self serve utensils and dipping ranch station. If you want some good pizza and are looking to watch a sports game, this is the place to come. Go for the larger size pizza when you come here. It’s much more worth it in terms of cost/pizza size. I shared the large size with a friend and we were stuffed. Just take home whatever you cannot finish. Service is solid here, waitstaff are friendly. It’s also not too expensive, but of course it wouldn’t be when you’re talking about a college town. The Hawaiian pizza had a generous amount of pineapples and was very well seasoned. Definitely would come here again and eat here more often if I were still in school here

Two words. THAI. FRIES. I think their pizza is pretty standard, but let me tell you about the Thai fries. So first you order Thai fries at the bar for about $ 5. Waiting ever-so-(im)patiently, you hear your order number from the kitchen. You walk up and grab your box. You can smell the delicious carbohydrates coming from your package. You walk back to your seat and open it up. Thin fries drizzled with sweet Thai sauce and creamy ranch, chopped up cilantro, and very very spicy fresh jalapeños. The first bite will leave your taste buds satisfied with the explosive flavor. You start chowing down and pretty soon — you’ll be left with none. You contemplate about ordering another one and looking greedy or coming back first thing tomorrow and ordering togo so you can enjoy yourself in the comfort of your home. Yeah, my friends make fun of me for liking Thai fries this much, but you have to try them to understand! If you order togo, the sauces are on the side so you can add to your liking!
