MD’s Sport Tavern and Grill

Went here on a date night. As an app we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. I’ve definitely had better. This was VERY cream cheese-​y. Their chips are delicious, though. My husband got a burger and liked it a lot. I got the pulled pork nachos, which were absolutely delicious, but soooooooo unhealthy. There was grease everywhere (probably why they tasted so good). They have a few different BBQ sauces at the table (which I always enjoy) and their chips were really good! I would go back just for some chips and salsa. I’m giving it 4 stars because it wasn’t knock-​your-​socks-​off amazing, but it was really good and I do plan to go back! I definitely recommend trying it!

First and last visit. My chicken sandwich was pretty good. My husband got a burger that had zero flavor. It just didn’t taste good so he took about two bites. We both worked in restaurants so we’re not complainers. But when the server asked if he wanted a box, he said «no thank you.» The server asked if he liked it and he told her that he was sorry, but he didn’t think it was very good. She said sorry, and came back with the bill. I was surprised to see we were still charged for the burger he didn’t even eat. I have worked at all levels of the restaurant business, and I have never heard of charging someone for something they didn’t eat. I also understand that there are constant complainers, but we were obviously not one of those. It just didn’t seem like anyone was interested to get a return visit out of us, so we likely won’t be back. I give two stars because other than the end of the meal, our service was pretty attentive. I can’t vouch for the pizza/​bread which is probably what we should have had (we have heard good things about the pizza and bread).

We decided to try something new for dinner. We were very happy with our experience. Greeted right away when walked in. Sat in a area away from other diners which was nice since we had our 6 year old with us. Décor was super nice! We ordered the buffalo smoked wings. They were amazing!!! Not to spicy my daughter ate them and she doesn’t like spicy things. Server was very nice and attentive. Good came out quickly. Great food great atmosphere!!! Their Mac and cheese is to die for… Absolutely amazing!!! A must try!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Initially I wasn’t a big fan of MD’s. It isn’t the most comfortable, and the space isn’t that inviting. The lights are too bright, and there just needs to be something that makes it feel a little more «cozy?» My second visit was a better experience. Greg Nagy was playing live, and even with the bright lights he gave it a little ambience and soul.
But my third visit I really started to love the place. Once you get past the first impressions you realize they have a very friendly and attentive staff. An impressive draft beer selection, and the food is really really good. The wings with house dry rub are my favorite thing.
Easily my favorite place in Davison now. I hope they keep rotating in good craft beer, and maybe add some spirits to the bar — like a rye whiskey (dickle or knob creek will do)

My wife and I ate here for the first time and were extremely happy with the food. We were not sure what to order so we ordered multiple things. The garlic sticks with cream cheese dip was awesome. We also had the pulled pork nachos which could be a meal in itself, amazing. We also had the pulled pork sandwich that had a lot of flavor and well worth it. I had Blue Moon for a beverage and our waitress was helpful, fast and friendly. We will be back with friends in the future. They also had live music and keno.

Love this place. Get the pulled pork nachos with a craft beer. They make a great martini too!

Very nice bar for Davison we all hang out their but food I don’t think so rather go to Leo’s or Apollo

The food here is mediocre at best. It is nothing more than typical, frozen bar food.
I went in for Take Out and received less than mediocre service from the bartender, Steve. A classic example of an under-​staffed evening and poor customer service.
I’m being gracious with this review because I received no apology from Steve — after he made me wait ten minutes while he made five drinks and I’d ordered forty minutes beforehand.
This joint needs to step its game up if it plans on contending with the potential competitors bringing their game to Davison.

We really enjoy this restaurant. The food is great! They have a smoker out back and Their wings are smoked with the house rub. They are amazing. We have also had the pulled pork nachos, breadsticks, and their Stromboli. They were delicious, especially the breadsticks! Prices are reasonable and the bar has a good selection. We’ve had good service every time and have been there twice when a live band was playing. Both times we enjoyed the music. A new favorite restaurant for us.

We have been here a few times and most of the time we have received awesome service and food. Tonight however the service was lacking and the pizza I received was raw. My wife and I split a salad and the tomatoes on the salad were terribly not ripe and not edible. You would think that when the waitress/​bartender asked how the pizza was and she received an honest answer from me that an apology would have been in order however none was offered although she did speak to someone and take some money off our bill without every mentioning it. I do know that the next time we visit that I will not order the pizza.
