I see that another person had billing problems, and that can be extremely frustrating(really). I haven’t had that experience here, so my review is based just on the office staff’s contacts and Dr. Borchers herself. I’ve been to her office about six times over the last few years, all for minor skin removals. They’re very accommodating to my special needs, and while Dr Borchers can be rather straightforward, don’t let that fool you. She truly does care about the well-being, as well as the comfort, of her patients. I’ve seen it many times. She was recommended to me by a close family member who’s been friends with her for over 20 years, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone else.

This one star rating is only because you can’t give negative stars. That being said, I’ve been waiting for months to write this review, in an effort to see whether this doctor’s office would do the right thing after what I consider to be an error on their part. Alas, they have not, so here is my review of the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical office(and I was born with a defective immune system, so I’ve seen A LOT of doctors). Dr. Borcher’s office told me to come in last year for multiple, costly procedures, after telling me my insurance would cover the treatments. They determined that my insurance would cover the cost by giving me one treatment, then submitting it to my insurance company and waiting to see if they got a reimbursement check. Once they did receive a check from the insurance company, the called me and said, «your treatments are covered, let’s begin,» which I did. During the next month or so, I received nearly $ 1,000 in treatments. After receiving those treatments, the office called and told me they were wrong, insurance actually didn’t cover it and was now requesting the money they had reimbursed the doctor’s office back. Because insurance was requesting the money back, Dr. Borchers office told me I was responsible for all the costs! Technically, I did have the treatments, and so legally must cover it. Morally, they should be ashamed for making a mistake of this magnitude, and then making me pay for it. As there are other, far less costly treatment options for my particular condition, I would never have agreed to have these treatments if this office hadn’t told me that they were covered. If they didn’t know or weren’t sure, they had no business telling me anything but that weren’t sure or didn’t know, and allowing me to decide whether I wanted to get the treatments KNOWING that I may have to pay for them in full. Playing«will they pay — won’t they pay» roulette with your patients isn’t acceptable, and it should be illegal. After months of going back and forth with the doctor’s office and conversations with the insurance company(who provided documented proof that Dr. Borchers’ office hadn’t submitted information completely or accurately) the office agreed to write off half of the cost, and left me responsible for over $ 400. The check was cashed last week, hence this unhappy review. I’d avoid this office at all costs, unless you want to risk this type of error coming back on your shoulders… or your bank account.
