This definitely isn’t the worst apartment I’ve lived in. I lived in the so-called«rough» front half the other Unilocaler mentioned. I don’t know what it was like in the early to mid 2000s, but a lot of units in the front half have since been updated. And if there is a lot of «crime» in the front half, that is news to me because I felt safe enough to walk down the street alone at night there. Most people there pretty much keep to themselves. I never had any issues with the leasing office, so I’m a little confused by some of the complaints I’ve seen posted on other websites about them. Our interactions were generally pleasant. But to be fair, I only really ever interacted with them when I had to, and they pretty much left us alone otherwise. I’m a very private person when I’m at home, so that was good. I get the impression that they are a lot more sociable if you want them to be, though. The only thing that sucks(and this is by no means their fault) is that this complex isn’t located within walking distance to any full-sized grocery stores. There’s a Dollar General about a block away and a Marathon convenience store next door, but that doesn’t really help if you need actual groceries. So if you don’t drive, that is a pain. There is an RTA stop right in front of the complex, though, so that’s a plus.

Eh, it was OK living here. I was here from Jan 04-Sep 06. I lived in the«nice apartments» at the end of Sidneywood. The front half is kind of rough, and they have more issues with crime, etc, but living at the back end was OK. They have events and always have cookies and coffee at the leasing office. I used the pool and workout room quite a bit so that was a plus. When it came time for me to move out they gave me a LOT of crap and didn’t give me enough of my security deposit back. I complained, called, emailed, etc. but never got a response. Having moved to CA it was not worth the bother. I’m sure they counted on that. Not the best place in Dayton, but not the worst either.
