Nice apts. Need updating

We did not find these apartments a good place to raise a family I am sorry to say. We were very disappointed and would not recommend this place to our friends.
We are very flexible and understanding tenants, however, the shortcomings of this place kept adding up to what turned out to be an unpleasant stay
From the get-​go, we coordinated our arrival with the front office well advance. Our unit has been vacant for the previous two weeks. On moving day we found our apartment had not yet been cleaned and our rental agreement had not even been drafted. Many of the details such as the duration of our lease had been forgotten. These two things combined put us in a tight position with the movers being paid by the minute waiting to unload the truck. Normally I do not feel the details would be pertinent to a review however the hits just kept coming.
We were told our appliances would be replaced by the end of the week. They came four months later. If you verbally agreed to do something, do it. Don’t make us feel like we have to get everything in writing.
A month after moving in we noticed that unit started Smelling extremely musty. We found one of the windows leaked when it rained and mildew quickly began growing on the carpet and wall. Maintenance took a week to respond and didn’t take us seriously Insisting,“It’s not mold, it’s mildew.“
That, along with the numerous holes in the ceiling in the building’s public entryway led us to believe that the owners of the apartment don’t want to commit the resources necessary to take care of the water/“mildew” issues.
Several times we also noted a wet dry vac company has been hired to come and drive back the floor above us. That along with following drywall. Falling from the ceiling, was the last straw.
We wanted out of there immediately, but had to wait until her six month lease was up. We opted to leave two months early to get out of what he suspected was a mold infested apartment.
Renters beware, caveat emptor. This place does not take resident concerns seriously, over promises, under performs.
