I love Dairy Queen; I have since I was a kid. But my most recent experience might deter me from ever returning, at least to this location. The wait was somewhat long, even with just one person in front of me. I was willing to let that slide because I understand being short handed or just busy. But then, when I got my «Blizzard,» I was livid. You know when you have a bowl of ice cream and you let it sit out on the counter, and then it turns into«ice cream soup»? Well, my «Blizzard» was like that, except it felt like it had been placed directly on the sun, equivalent to the fiery depths of hell. Since there were people behind me and I didn’t feel like waiting an additional 20 – 30 min for ice cream, I just left. I understand that it was nearly 80 degrees outside, but I feel as though the machine could have produced a consistency that is somewhat close to a «Blizzard.» What happened to turning it over and the spoon staying in? If I would have done that, I would have been wearing mine. If the machine wasn’t working, I would rather them say that Blizzards are currently unavailable, rather than sipping my ice cream soup on the way home. This may all sound ridiculous, considering it’s about ice cream. But my point is that I expected a level of quality that makes me want to return to Dairy Queen during the summer. And now, I don’t even know if I want to return to ANY Dairy Queen location.

After having a bit of a vet emergency with the granddog, I needed a drink! I stopped here for a hot dog and a chocolate shake as it was time for lunch. The dog was very good; tasty meat and nice, soft bun. The shakes at DQ are always good and I enjoy the whipped cream and cherry on top. Served quickly, too… thanks, DQ!
