Fast, friendly service wither best ice cream you’ll ever have. Wouldn’t miss a chance to stop here when in Dayton.

I highly reccomend trying this ice cream shop if you are in Ohio. It is one of the best places to get ice cream in the state. They have hand dipped cones, pretzel cones, and non dairy plain cones. There is excellent customer service at this location. They are always willing to give samples. My favorite flavors are blueberry pie, cookie dough, and toffee chip!

If you’ve been following my reviews for a while, you know I have a serious dairy slant to them since I can barely take a taste something if it has dairy in it. So by now you see that my review has 5 stars. So I’ll keep this simple. Yes, everyone who has rated high so far is right! Tons of great flavors, nice outdoor seating, ok indoor seating, great customer service. But for me the hi-light is here! According to their website, «Our sorbets contain no animal products and are considered vegan. They are also Kosher Parve.» Also, I emailed Graeters and got a very nice response back also letting me know that all of their plain(not chocolate covered) cones are also dairy free! So, I LOVE their mango sorbet in a waffle cone and hubby can have an ice cream cone whenever he wants!

Got an ice cream cake but we forgot to let them we were planning to eat it there, so they could have it already thawed out enough to cut it. Arrived and they had it thawed out within 20 minutes. Excellent and professional service.

Their salted caramel is probably THEBEST I’ve ever had. Just the right amount of sweetness and a kick of the«salt» to balance it out. Food: Lots of flavors and different items on the menu! I’ve always order double scoops in a cone, but they always end up being too much for me. The ice cream is just SOGOOD that I’d rather have too much than not enough! However, I’ve had friends order the brownie sundae on different occasions and each time it was always a disappointment. The brownies weren’t freshly baked — they were always hard and cold. I think they just microwave the brownie, top it with ice cream and then serve it to you. Service: The workers here are really patient. I always sample a couple of flavors before deciding on what I want and they are nice about it, never giving any attitude! Now every time I visit Dayton, I ALWAYS get Graeter’s Ice Cream. It’s just THATGOOD!

The most amazing Ice cream, I have ever had! Warning the chocolate chip cookie dough is addicting! Once you have had graters ice cream you will never be able to eat a Nother brand of ice cream again! I’m happy that our local Kroger’s carries it. The chocolate and the chocolate chip cookie dough has huge chunks of chocolate in it.

Excellent ice cream! It doesn’t taste artificial(because it isn’t!). The best ice cream I’ve had to date. Surprisingly, I really enjoy the strawberry. Service is good. They have a drive-thru too which is nice. Just wish it didn’t take us 2 of the 3 years we are in Ohio to try it!

Definitely one of my favorite local treats! The French pot method used to prepare their ice cream is a definite differentiator. This creates wonderful chucks of chocolate throughout the«chip» flavors. Standouts are the black raspberry chip and the mint chocolate chip. The stores are reminiscent of old fashioned parlors with colorful candy concoctions serving as both décor and merchandise. A bit on the pricey side for a cone but a perfect special occasion treat… even if my occasion is «I made it to Friday!»

Went through the drive they which is super convenient and I was immediately greeted by a friendly hello so that put me in a good mood. I ordered the cookies and cream and it was some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. It was so fresh and creamy and delicious, the cookies were just ok. My little one had the cotton candy which she loved. My husband had the lemon sorbet, but it wasn’t good, probably safe to just stick with the ice cream. Glad I was able to see what all the hype was about and now I can see why!

An Ohio original and by far the best ice cream you’ll find for miles around! An abundance of delicious creamy flavors including seasonal favorites. The«chips» are definitely more live bittersweet chocolate chunks. Graeter’s homemade whipped cream is the ultimate sundae topper. It’s not uncommon for me to stop at Graeter’s twice a day. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could!

I really don’t understand the hype surrounding Graeter’s. Maybe because I’ve transplanted here from a different state… I don’t know. But it’s very rich ice cream, as in makes you sick to your stomach. I had the smallest size possible and couldn’t eat it all. So the portion sizes aren’t too bad. And the staff is friendly and very helpful about the flavors.

Oh my goodness how does Graeter’s not have 5*?!! I looooove ice cream and this stuff is top notch. The ice cream is super creamy and they have a wonderful variety of flavors to choose from. In particular, they are known for their«chip» ice creams. Of course, this refers to chocolate chips, but they are no ordinary chocolate chips! These are huge CHUNKS of semi-sweet chocolate. I’ve had chunks before that are the size of 2 – 3 Hershey’s kisses stuck together. YUM! As others have said, MUSTTRY Black Raspberry Chip! Heaven in a carton I tell you! This is one of their original unique flavors, so you’ve gotta at least give it a try. If you don’t like chocolate or aren’t in the mood(say whaaat?!) then their other ice creams are a great choice too. If you like blueberry pie, I HIGHLY recommend their blueberry pie ice cream. It has real pieces of pie crust in it! They always have milkshakes and pre-designed sundaes that have a ton of ice cream(share size!) but they are delicious! I think they may have sorbet or something like that… but I’ve never paid attention to that. In general, their quality is amazing and once you try it, you can tell. The staff is always nice and helpful. The store is usually run by college-aged students and occasionally a manager will be in there too. You can try as many flavors as you’d like and they’re always patient. In the summertime, though, it can get pretty busy! This location has a drive-thru, so that’s always an option. They also have a little patio with benches outside so you can enjoy the sunshine with your cold treat. If you don’t live in the area, they sell their ice cream at grocery stores! It’s pretty darn expensive in stores though. You can also get the ice cream shipped to you, but that’s ridiculously pricy too. I think the price in the store is pretty on track with ice cream shops. $ 3 or less for a single scoop, which is definitely enough for one person! Their sundaes are a little more expensive, about $ 5 each I think, but they come with more ice cream plus extras. One more note, they always have candies and cookies and individually wrapped chocolates to sell at the store. Usually they are themed for whatever holiday is approaching. One time, I bought a Darth Vadar gumball machine! Cool(:

Hands down, the best ice cream cone I have ever had in my life! That was my first Graeter’s experience, and from now on, this is the only location I will keep coming back to after seeing how this location just seems to «up the awesome» by a million degrees! Seriously, I had a terrible second experience at the location in Springboro, and believe me, you really have to try hard to screw up ice cream as fabulous as this! Back to this wonderful location, they offer a military discount, handmade chocolates, lollipops, gifts, samples galore, beautiful greeting cards, even a book to tell their story, and the interior is really beautiful and inviting to relax in! They have so many incredible flavors and products, I found three that I absolutely loved, and for me, that is rare. I have so many more that I want to try! I am usually a cookie dough only gal, but oh no, Graeter’s had to go and turn me into an ice cream a-holic! Thanks Graeter’s! Not only did they have the best ever cookie dough, the buckeye is to die for, and the toffee was incredible with it’s huge chunks of toffee! Maybe it’s the huge perfectly textured chocolate boulders that grace almost every flavor of their ice cream? Perhaps it’s the not too light not too heavy texture, or how it melts on your tongue just right, without feeling like you’re licking frozen corn syrup like other ice cream parlors who shall remain nameless whose ice cream you almost have to chew! Cold rocks? Juvenile Dairy? There’s your hint! This place takes the cake. There were samples of their chocolates all over the store! We were in hog heaven, and with our Military Discount and their more than generous portions, we felt appreciated as customers, and properly pampered. That my friends, is the Graeter’s Experience done right!

This ice cream is heavenly. I am happy to know you can mail order it for when I am not living in the area anymore because I have never had better ice cream. Also the staff in the store is exceptional when dealing with food allergies.

Best ice cream in Dayton! They are open year-round and serve seasonal flavors along with their original favorites. Their chocolate chips(more like chocolate slates) are their claim to fame, and they appear in almost every flavor. My favorite flavors is Banana Chip, followed closely by their Pumpkin Pie. But truly, I have never gone wrong at Graeters. Bottom line: If you’re looking for unique ice cream that isn’t «mix-in-centric», head to Graeter’s!

This is a 2.5 er but I am bumping it up to 3 because of the customer service. The girls in there were so friendly! They made the visit worthwhile because sadly the ice cream did not. Oh another super cool thing? They have bring your dog day(I think it is Thursday). Not only do you get to snack on mediocre ice cream, your pooch gets a cool(pet safe) treat too! Sadly, I hope theirs is a bit tastier. My husband and I had sundaes. He enjoyed his, however I was sorely disappointed with mine. I had the butter pecan ice cream which was truly nothing special. The hot«fudge» tasted like Hershey’s. Maybe it was? My husband had some kind of cookie dough concoction. It was much better than mine. I honestly would recommend another ice cream joint.
