I have stayed here at least once a year since 2000. In most cases I have a rental vehicle, but this time I did not. The fact that their shuttle runs 24 hours is amazing and that they start serving a hot breakfast at 4a.m.for early travelers is unheard of! What a deal! When I checked in on 18 Feb, the front desk person, Mandy, was amazing. Kudos to her! Didn’t get the early morning person’s name on the 19th as I left to the airport, but at 4:30 am, she was very perky and friendly too! The renovations are great, I slept like a baby and I will remain committed to this establishment in the future.

I’m torn here. I want to hate this place but I can’t. First the cons. The first two floors have exterior rooms. The third floor is interior. Our room, 207, was literally 75 feet from the highway. The noise was considerable since the door was exterior. I knew there was a problem when I got in the room and there was a notice that earplugs were available at the front desk to help you sleep. No lie. The rooms were tiny and if you’re used to roomy Fairfield Inn rooms, you will not get that here. The air conditioners work, but remind me of the ones in hotels I stayed in back in the 70s and 80s. Now, the reason I can’t hate it. The rooms were clean. They were Marriott clean and I was never concerned. The staff is pretty amazing. They treat you like you expect to be treated and do what they have to to make you happy. The complimentary breakfast is pretty great and has a wide variety of hot food to choose from. Both days the eggs were perfect. Overall, would I stay here again? Probably for $ 90 but not for $ 130. At least not in room 207.

I am a Lifetime Premier Platinum with Marriott so I know my Marriotts. I have to say this hotel has the friendliest staff I have encountered in a long time. They really made me feel welcome. The hotel itself is just OK. The room we had was so small that my wife and I felt claustrophobic. There was only 3 feet between the bed and the TV cabinet. The bathroom was tiny and no place to open luggage. As much I liked the staff, I wound not return unless I can get a larger room.

The room was small and not anything spectacular but they where clean. The staff on the other hand was wonderful. The owners are lucky to find such a wonderful group of people. The hotel is very well staffed and each and everyone of them are on top of their job. The grounds are well kept, every time you turn around they are constantly maintaining the property. The desk clerks were very helpful and they went above and beyond to make guest comfortable, even if they got injured in the process«sorry about that». The shuttle drivers were also great and got me where I needed to go with a smile and great conversation. The cleaning crew took pride in what they were doing and were also very accommodating. The reason for not giving 5 star is the size of the rooms, not so great pillows and the bed not being that comfortable. These are only minor issue and would not keep me from returning.

This is basically a very ordinary motel, which should cost a lot less. If you are expecting something exceptional because it is a Marriott, you will be disappointed. The rooms are clean, and comfortable, but extremely basic. This is comparable to a Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn; It is way below the standard of a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. The staff are however courteous and friendly.

I like this hotel. I’ve stayed here a few times on business and personal. Lisa at the front desk is fabulous, she is so nice and friendly and makes you feel like home. My flight arrived in the morning on this trip and they were able to get me checked in early. The best part about this place for me is that their breakfast starts at 4am and they have a full hot breakfast. I have early meetings when I’m here for work and usually miss the breakfasts at all the hotels because they start too late, but I get a nice hot free breakfast here. All the rooms have mini fridge and microwave and they have a tiny market to buy drinks and snacks if you want. Honestly if you want a cheaper nice hotel, stay here. I don’t have any problems with it. And there are PLENTY of food options in the area to walk to and a Walmart within walking distance. Safe travels!

Lisa at the front desk was very nice. The lobby was updated and the free breakfast was fine. You would not leave hungry. I had a 2nd floor room away from the highway and was very quiet. The room is a little small. Bed comfortable and flat screen TV with Fridge. Yes I would stay here again.

Pros: Recently renovated. Great breakfast and decent happy hour. Walking distance to food and Wal-Mart. Thirty mins from DAY. Cons: Older motel-style design with exterior catwalks and doors that are on the outside(not all rooms). Proximity to interstate is very noticeable, as the rooms are quite noisy at night. In-between tractor-trailers, the a/c might keep you awake. Judgement: Chose bc it was reasonably priced, but would not choose this hotel again.

Picked this hotel because it was one of the newer looking hotels in the Dayton area. I was told to stay away from downtown Dayton. Both the exterior and the interior had a newer feel. For all I know it could be new or all remodeled but it didn’t really feel remodeled. Check in = super fast Staff = very friendly and helpful Room = clean Bed = don’t think plush and super soft, think the springy bed you dreamed of jumping on when you were a kid… it’s one of those mattresses. The odd = basketball court right outside the hotel. If you stay here hopefully there are no basketball teams staying here that are going for an early morning or late night practice :) I don’t know if you’re going to find a better place to stay in Dayton.

As a Marriott gold(1 night from Platinum), I can say I am generally a big fan of Fairfields. Not the case with this place– a far cry from every other Fairfield I have stayed at. Internet didnt work in rooms and my bathroom shower had 5 inches of water by the time I was finished. So gross! Very run down hotel and would recommend a bit further drive for you marriot loyals!
