Am I missing something here? Good reviews? I stopped here for dinner with my wife. We were seated in a booth that looked like it owed a debt to the mob and got knifed to death. No joke, it had stuffing popping out of it. Our waitress took our drink order and my wife excused herself to wash up. She came back gagging because of the gnats that flew out of the sink when she turned it on. We dropped a $ 5 for the drinks and made our way out immediately. If the bathroom is that bad, I don’t want to know how bad the kitchen is. 1 star isn’t low enough, this place should be run out of town.

Staff is friendly enough, but when food came it wasn’t very warm, tacos are terrible, don’t order them, my food had PLASTIC in it. Then when Bill came there was still the item with plastic in it on the bill for me to pay for.

Food was decent. Price was well. Service was POOR! It took us 11 minutes to get our drinks. With only two other tables being occupied, I found it to be unacceptable. I had too to the bar and ask for my drink. We could see all of the servers sitting at a booth in the back.

The hard shelled beef taco is great! The beef is seasoned with something special.

I wish I could give 2 ½ stars, this place is nothing to write home about. My rice wasn’t cooked all the way, my black beans were out of a can and cold with not flavor, waiter wasn’t very attentive, I definitely won’t be coming back, for it called Salsas, their salsa wasn’t very good either.

I’ve only eaten here once. With that being said I won’t be back. The salsa and chipa are terrible. I got the chicken tacos and they were ok so that’s where the two stars come from. All in all the place is ok. According to some of the other reviews their lunch buffet is pretty good so maybe try that if you’re going to go.

I am not sure how all of the other reviewers stomached the food at this establishment. My husband and I got a groupon, and if we didn’t have the groupon I would have refused to pay for the«food» we were served. We ordered our food, and within 2 minutes the waitress brought out our plates. That is a flag right there indicating that NOTHING we were served was fresh. I ordered 2 chili rellanos that tasted like they were made yesterday. They were cold, chewy, over salted, and somehow tasted like cardboard at the same time. I truly have never tasted something that old and unpalatable. My husband powered through more of his burrito, but he was miserable. This may not be the most«authentic» Mexican food place, but I don’t think I would even classify it as a restaurant. I wouldn’t serve farm animals the crap they called food. Save yourself the trip, the money, the time.

I had never been to Salsas before and decided to meet my niece for lunch there today. We arrived at 1 p.m. and we both opted for the lunch buffet. The service was good and the waitress was attentive. The food was not great. With few exceptions, the food on the buffet looked old and tired. Several items weren’t labeled and I couldn’t tell what they were. We were at the restaurant about an hour and the food was never replenished or freshened up the whole time we were there… not one single item on the buffet. I wanted to try a enchilada, but there was one that was torn up and stuck to the serving pan when we got there and the same one was there when we left. I kept waiting for them to refresh the pan so I could try a fresh one, but that never happened. I only eat at locally owned restaurants and I wanted desperately to like Salsas, but my first visit will be my last.

Went there twice for dinner and it was decent. We had coupons and it was no better or worse than any other local mexican restaurant. The lunch buffett is a different story. It is a good idea, but poorly executed. It could be decent if they put more effort into it. Most of the food is not labelled, and not the best quality. Much of it needs to be drained; it is sitting in too much juice. We went there around 12:30−1, and the buffett was restocked very haphazardly. They ran out of tortillas, enchaladas, and napkins! It took quite a while before anyone noticed. It runs from 11 – 2, but they stop stocking it by around 1:15. It is definitely not worth $ 8. The chips and salsa are not brought to your table; they are in a large community bowl next to unlabelled mystery sauces. There were no tongs, and the whole setup seems rather unsanitary. The ice tea was not fresh-brewed; it had the distinctive aftertaste of instant. Also, there is no lemon available. And seriously, no black olives?

Great Lunch Buffett !!! All the food was very good, and there was an incredible number of choices: tacos, enchiladas, tamales, tortillas, hard tacos, fried salad bowls(chalupas?), fried potatoes, pico de gallo, salsa, tomatillo salsa, flan, churros, sopapillas, and much more. The colorado chile was amazing. Take your favorite co-workers for a Friday lunch. I went to have a Saturday lunch with my wife many months ago, and it was good, so I came back. I can’t wait to get back now for that lunch buffett. What I’m trying to say, is for those of you who tried Salsa’s before and thought it was ok, you really should come back for the lunch buffett. It seems readily apparent to me that they are trying to build business.

I hardly glanced at the menu. I had already set my mind on the Camerones ala Diabla before Mark K. and I even got into his car. Mark had been to Salsa’s before and said was good. It was also conveniently close to the Air Force Museum, so it was good for a break. As you would expect, there were plenty of chips and salsa delivered right after as we sat down and it didn’t take them long to get my margarita to me either. The Camerones ala Diabla at Salsa’s was a little different from any other Camerones ala Diabla that I’ve had. While they had the usual Mexican style of presentation — slap it on the plate and there you are, their version was a little different. It’s not in a spicy tomato sauce like everyone else’s but it’s more of a sauteed shrimp with a light hot pepper and very slight cinnamon taste. It is served with a side of plain white rice and a mix of lettuce, tomato and onions. It wasn’t served with tortillas but they gave me some when I asked. The price for this dish? $ 8.95. So pretty reasonable. They do have a lunch buffet option of various Mexican foods which is what Mark opted for. You can read his review about their buffet which he enjoyed. The buffet was priced right at $ 8. Mark put it best in his review by saying it was«good but not great». So a decent choice for a quick and cheap lunch if you are visiting the area.

Went back with Mike G. during a visit to the Air Force Museum. Pretty handy and much better than the museum’s café, though still«good not great.» I had the buffet. Wait, a Mexican buffet? Never heard of one. But I am adventurous and Sweetie says I have an iron stomach, so why not? It wasn’t bad. A fair-sized spread, with arepas, build-your-own tacos with assorted shells, pork enchiladas(labelled as beef,) a few soups and breakfast bakes. Flan, sopapillas, and churros for dessert. For $ 8, good quality and a decent selection. Service was decent, but not fast, and there was some confusion about how hot we wanted things.

First time in based on reviews of others Unilocalers. Service was exception! Waiter made us feel comfortable with it being our first time. He made suggestions, which are home runs! Chips and salsa were fresh. Place was cozy, clean, and inviting. I had the pollo loco and it was AMAZING, another hit at our table was the super burrito! I love this little place and will return very soon

Went there for a school field trip today and I can say I was disappointed. 1) we got chips as soon as we say down and drinks. But the chips were very bland and the salsa was watery. When we asked for more chips. The older man said in Spanish. No more chips. But later out waitress brought a new basket of different chips. 2) I ordered the el presidente with chicken. And a little think of sour cream for the side.

Great food. Amazing margaritas! Try the spicy mango margarita. If you haven’t tried Salsa’s I definitely recommend it. I mostly review mexican restaurants for their margaritas. Salsa’s will not disappoint. Food is great too.

This place is a hidden gem in the Airway Shopping Center. I’ve had consistently excellent meals here. The chicken enchiladas with verde sauce are to die for, and the shredded beef tacos reign supreme. The complimentary chips and salsa are a standout. The salsa is NOT from a jar… super fresh and delicious, assertive punch of cilantro. The chips are served warm and taste suspiciously fresh from the fryer. Service is relatively friendly and hit or miss with promptness. For being in a low-rent strip mall, the atmosphere is surprisingly cozy.
