Shroyer Inn

Love this bar and the staff is very friendly. I personally don’t think the prices are too bad and it’s very close to home.

over-​rated and underwhelming. Not to mention the strip-​club level price increase on drinks… no thanks.

Love this place! It may look scary from the outside… But inside you will find an awesome, friendly bartender. The drinks are poured extremely strong for a really low price! They offer karaōke, pool, darts, and fun new people to talk to. Its very small and gets VERY crowded, so if you prefer to sit and not stand… I’d get there early on the weekends.

Great place to just go and play pool. darts or just get a beer

They let people smoke inside here? I thought that was banned throughout the state. Funny little place with a lot of character.

Expecting the worst while walking into this small, windowless tavern lit by neon beer lights two blocks from our place, my boyfriend and I braced ourselves for finding a country juke box and a dozen 40yr+ men looking at the «newcomers»…

this didn’t happen. Our jaws dropped to find an interior that had nice little tables, a broad age-​range of clientelle, a pool table where a group of guys were trying to look tough, even though they weren’t very good, and that it was karaōke night. haha Sensory overload!
It wasn’t *good* per se. But it was definitely different (and better) than expected from the dodgy exterior.
Speaking of sensory overload, I guess smoking was banned in Dayton and all the surrounding areas like 5 years ago. Apparently the Shroyer Inn never got the memo, because people were smoking all over in it! The bartender even asked us if we wanted an ashtray right when we walked in the door!
Things were not as cheaply priced as I’d hoped, and unfortunately I over-​estimated my alcohol tolerance that night, but at least I was only a 2 block stumble home. This place is too conveniently located, so I’m sure I’ll be back, but what an unexpected experience!
