Love coming here. The burger shooters are the best. We usually get Lexi as our server and she is outstanding.
She knows our girls from Kids Are Tops gymnastics. She was an instructor there.
The girls like seeing her when we stop in! Kids menu is nicely varied so always something for them to get, no matter their mood
Used to have long waits for tables and food, but things are way better these days. Can always count on good food here!
We’ll be back!

Wow, we used to really enjoy this place. Sadly, the quality of food is just not there. The restaurant is dirty The floors were so slick from grease that I thought my 88-​year-​old mother was going to fall. We were not the only ones that found the floor to be slick. Customers were telling us to be careful because the floor was so slippery.
When our food finally came to the table the french fries were cold, and the burger was lukewarm. Even my mother said something about the food not being good. Our waitress did bring us fresh fries, however it should’ve been fresh fries from the beginning. Is this a reflection on the manager, or the staff? I’d have to say both. I do hope someone in corporate can make a change.

Steak ‘n Shake… yum! Their fries are the thin, crispy kind and always delicious. The shakes are huge, and I particularly like the side-​by-​side shakes. The shakes seem even better during happy hour when they are half-​off. :) Their burgers are alright, but cheap and go well with their fries and shakes. I would give a higher rating, probably a 4 out of 5, but the service I have experienced at Steak ‘n Shake was always very slow for all the times I’ve been there. Even if the restaurant was not even crowded, it still takes a long time to get our orders, and then probably 45 – 60 minutes to get our food for our table of 4 – 6. But overall I would recommend Steak ‘n Shake, especially their shakes!

This steak and shake is always Packed. The food and service are average. This place is in need of a good cleaning. The shoestring french fries are always cold. And their signature item the milkshakes are always thin !! I give them 3 stars because I love the hot dogs they are the bomb winner winner hot dog dinner! So that keeps me coming back.

I just want to point out, that I’m new to this whole «Steak & Shake» thing. I discovered in on my cross country trip from new york to california, so I’ve been to one in at least 5 different states in the time span of a month.
However, since we stayed in Dayton for 2 weeks I went to this steak & shake quite often. Service was a little slow, the food was delicious, as in all the other locations. Theyre breakfast though did make me happy :)
NO ONE was in there in the morning, so we got pretty great service.
