Better frozen yogurt location than sweet cheeks in Brooklyn! A normal frozen yogurt shop; you go in and serve yourself. You pick your flavor of froyo and how much you want. You add all your toppings from fruit, dry toppings, syrups, etc. and weigh your bowl at the end. I find this location of frozen yogurt has a better yogurt selection. More to choose from and better flavors at a better quality. Some do say that froyo world is ‘so many cents’ more expensive per ounce, than sweet cheeks over in Brooklyn. But what’s a few cents for better quality and better selection of frozen yogurt? You pay for the better quality of other things, so why not your frozen yogurt? It’s food too that you’re putting into your body. It just makes sense.

my boyfriend and i do make a habit of visiting places like this, and our experience last night was just so-so. at about 7:30 on a freezing cold saturday night, the place was about half full with other patrons. we were the only ones getting our ice cream, so it was nice to be able to roam around unencumbered by others. my boyfriend and i were both underwhelmed with the flavors, but really were in the mood, so decided to proceed anyway. i went with a mix of cotton candy, cake batter, and cheesecake. the cotton candy was excellent. the cake batter tasted like, well… sweet goodness, but not any cake batter i’ve ever had before. i’m still hard-pressed to be able to actually identify a flavor other than sweet. the cheesecake tasted like coconut. i’m unsure if this is how they are actually supposed to taste, or if the flavor were switched during the day, and the machine was not cleaned properly. i will say that froyoworld seems to have more toppings than other similar operations, so i was pleased to see that. however, my other disappointment is that they didn’t have fresh whipped cream. as a place that bills itself as using«the freshest ingredients that are delivered and prepared daily,» i would honestly expect a little more than the stuff out of a can. i would go here again, but i’m not in a rush. also, it seems to me that(at least the worker who was on when we were there) needs a refresher training in customer service. apparently he forgot how to smile and, literally the only words he spoke were«that’ll be $ 7.35» and«do you want your receipt?» no «hello;» no «how are ya?»; and certainly no «have a great night and come see us again.» i think a little quality control may be in need on the part of management…

I did a double take when I saw the women behind the counter kill a fly with a rag she was using to wipe down the counter and then use the same rag to wipe the toppings containers and then fill them. This women was at the grand opening a couple years ago so I believe she is either one of the owners or the manager. If she is the one setting the standards for the rest of the staff then I can only imagine what happens in the food prep area. Be warned if you eat here you could end up with food poisoning!

At some frozen yogurt places you can at least rationalize that you are making something semi-healthy if you pick the right toppings. Don’t even bother trying to do that rationalization here. I recall seeing strawberries, kiwi, almonds, and not really much more in the way of «healthy» toppings. Everything else was along the lines of candies and confections and broken pieces of cookies and peanut butter cups and such. So just give in this time, make something decadent, and go for something healthier at some other time and place. What they do have here is stocked and presented well. The place is very clean(including the rest rooms). The staff is friendly, it is brightly lit, and there is a lot of comfortable seating of several types.

I just love ice cream/frozen yogurt! Love their décor! Very vibrate surroundings — lights and décor! Every time I go there, they always have something new flavor to try! They do also have good options for toppings. They charge 52 cents per pound so the price isn’t too bad if you don’t over do it with your cup!

Okay, New England is lousy with ice cream places but soft frozen yogurt is a great alternative and one that I really like. FroyoWorld is a pretty simple setup: grab a paper bowl, select one of a dozen and more different flavors of frozen yogurts, add toppings from a big selection toppings(around 50, including, of course, whipped cream and cherries), take it to the friendly cashier, weigh your sundae and pay a flat fee based on the weight of what you picked. Pay the cashier – did I say friendly, already? – grab a spoon and maybe a lid and you’re good to go! I’ve been there a few times now – about half eating in and half taking out. The eating area is bright and clean and has a lot of chairs and tables of different sizes to make it inviting.(There’s a cooler with some bottled water and water drinks that they sell, too, but I didn’t look too closely at it.) The times I’ve been there there have been groups of kids and mothers with their children and couples, too. It’s a nice mix. Taking my sundae out, it was cold enough to make it home(about ten-fifteen minutes away) in good shape, even when I add jimmies on my sundae, which is important. This place is way too close to the gym I go to, which means I’ve got to keep myself from a treat every time I leave, but, other than that, it’s a great addition to the area.
