It’s a great setting at the track, but there were problems right out of the gate. The kitchen crew the day we were there really needs to be put out to pasture. We came here for breakfast ready to eat like a horse but left feeling a little sulky. We had to nag the server several times for basics like refills, which we really needed because our simple order of diner breakfast staples took almost a full hour to hit our feeding trough. When it finally arrived, our veggie omelets were a horse of a different color, with cheese on the wrong one and«veggies» consisting of a half pound of onions and a smattering of tomato chunks. I wasn’t interested in ponying up another hour to get the order right, so we made do. I love the setting and what they’re trying to do there, so I won’t beat a dead horse based on just this one visit. I’ll climb off my high horse and admit that I’d be willing to play the ponies and give this place another shot. I won’t be so hot to trot next time though.

Only open for the summer 8:00 to 2:00 friday sat & sunday. Also Live music fri & sat nights. Found the restaurant when we were out at a yard-sale. Very very friendly waitress. Ruben sandwich was out of this world. Home cut French fries. I had the«Up Front» salad that had real turkey & ham and cheddar cheese(not processed meat). Best salad I’ve ever had. Horses return in October and you can dine watching them along the race track
