Excellent lunch. I can’t wait to try breakfast. Let’s start with the ambiance It’s located on the second floor of a huge hotel. It’s a huge resturant. It has private rooms, booths and tables for 2 – 6 people. It’s well lighted but not bright. Some pleasant music played in the background. I was shown the menu. It’s an iPad. You can click on the item and see a photo. Very nice. I opted for the buffet. There was a chicken primavera hot dish and some stuffed pepper soup. Both were excellent. The salad bar is limited to two different, but very fresh, types of lettuce and some standard toppings. But the pre-maid salads were very nice. Three bean, chicken, mushroom, shrimp pasta, quinoa and beet just to name a few. There’s even a desert bar. I took a photo. The cakes look great and there’s ice cream on demand. All of this was only $ 15. This kind of buffet sometimes goes for $ 25 elsewhere. There were only three other tables occupied at 12:30 on a Thursday. I don’t think they can sustain this level of service with so few customers. If you are in the area. Check it out.

This restaurant is located inside the hotel Royal Dearbon on the 2nd Fl. The wife and entered and was told by passing waiter to sit anywhere. We took booth and had 3 different waiters(2 females and 1 male) come to our table and begin to debate each other on who’s table it was. In the end a young female won out some how and turned to us. From that point on service was ok. She could of been a lil more schooled in certain things but over all she was ok. Could she have been better? Definitely! Food: If you order entrée, it includes UNLIMITED salad and dessert stations both of which were very good. We both kept it simple and ordered the Chicken Parmesan dinner. It was delicious! We got fresh made garlic bread and it really added to the dinner entrée. It comes with fettuccine instead of spaghetti, penne, or Angel hair pasta which was fine. The dessert station had pastries and cakes. You also had ice cream but had to ask for it. No biggie. They had toppings all set up for it. Overall not a bad experience but by no means or any stretch of the imagination is a high end location. A few tweaks here and there with service and who knows. Will I ever go here again? Yes I would. But I won’t go out of my way to eat there. It WAS in hotel I was in. If staying in another hotel or location, and in mood for Italian, I would find another place. This place has limited food choices too.

The place looks like a fancy restaurant from the 1970s and you are hopeful when you walk in hungry that the food is going to be delicious. It’s not. My colleague and I were starving so we both ordered entrees and salad bar. The salad bar looked wonderful, but when sitting back at my seat I was disappointed in the taste of just about everything. It was all what I would call«cafeteria seasoned.» You know that recipe-followed ingredients that have no heart, no zest, no personality. Sadly, our main meals felt much the same and neither of us was able to finish. This was partly because they serve a lot. A little less food with a little more effort given to flavor would go a long way.

Not sure if this is the right one but we ate the one on the 2nd floor of the Royal Dearborn Hotel & Convention Center. I would have loved to have given this place 5 stars if I could. Our servers Courtney & Rich were great and the food was delicious! Unfortunately when we came to have lunch the place was completely empty. There was NAM event happening that day so we had just missed the rush. Still, the place was open but there was no host to greet us or show us to our table. Finally some guy cleaning up tables led us to a clean one. Then he said our server would be right out. Well that«right out» took about 15 minutes-and that’s not that fun with hungry kids. There was buffet food still out and I was tempted to just get up and help myself but that same guy insisted we wait for our server. Once Courtney came she was wonderful but that wait was pretty irritating. But the food was delicious. We ordered the lobster bisque(soooooooooo good, my favorite item of the meal!!), salmon, burger, and alfredo pasta. There were no complaints about anything. We were also given a basket of garlic bread that was to die for. Ordering through the iPad was really inconvenient as well. Would definitely recommend this place.

We were invited to Giulio’s for a late night farewell dinner for my brothers staying at Adoba and I was blown away by the excellent food and service! Dinners are quite pricey for the area but are pretty typical for a hotel restaurant. The cheapest dinner meal is home made linguine for $ 22, but most entrees are $ 26-$ 32. They use tablet menus, which is fun, and you can see an accurate photo of each item before you order. The best part is that every main entrée comes with unlimited salad bar and DESSERTBAR! There are cheaper options like sandwiches but why would you pass up that deal? Plus this market bar is more than just fresh salad(field greens or romaine with feta, bleu cheese, pine nuts, etc). Other offerings included big peel-and-eat shrimp, soup, roasted veggies, ham salad, dried fruits, tuna pasta salad, three bean salad, and my favorite pitted mixed olives. I went for the pan fried trout on truffle risotto with pistachio pesto. It was perfect but I still only finished half because I was full of salad and needed to save room for dessert. They offer kids meals which were expensive but high quality; my kids split the linguine. Did I mention the excellent garlic bread with olive tapenade? I split chocolate and carrot cake with my wife and grabbed some bread pudding with caramel and chocolate sauce for myself. There was tempting rum soaked tiramisu but I couldn’t do fit any more in! Plus jars of candy, cookies, fudge, mini cupcakes, and vanilla or chocolate ice cream available by request. Finally I cannot say enough about the excellent service. We felt right at home even though my big family hung out way too long after we finished dinner.

If I could write every great thing I experienced today at this restaurant, you would be reading pages! First off my friend took me here for my engagement celebration and the first thing I enjoyed was the service-it was SPECTACULAR .i think our server was named Rich and he was there making sure the WHOLETIME we were taken care of. There was also another guy who helped out with filling water and garlic bread(very delicious!) he was so nice. I ordered a dish that was like chicken Alfredo but I can’t remember exactly what it was called on the menu but it was so good, it looked like they made the noodles from scratch and the chicken on top was very juicy and the skin was super crispy-LOVED THAT! The other thing I love is they offer gluten free items which is great as well as halal items so they try to please everyone. The salad was fresh and the dessert was amazing! Not to mention they gave me something extra at dessert to congratulate me on my engagement which was very sweet. I will definitely return here, but I seriously can’t say enough about how awesome the service was. Such nice people that want to make sure your experience is one of a kind :):):)

*Disclosure: I was invited to the hotel as a blogger for two days. We ate at Giulio & Sons three times in two days while I stayed at the adoba — once for dinner and twice for breakfast. I’d give it like a 4.5÷5 stars overall. Breakfast, day 1: we were invited to partake in the breakfast buffet, which had a lot of options. I ended up with some fruit, potatoes, sausage, and toast. The only thing I would have liked to have seen that was not there was soy or almond milk(or even coconut milk) — they didn’t have any non-dairy options. Dinner, day 1: First off, the menu was on iPads!(how cool is that!) You could click on each dish too to see a description and a picture. I ordered the mushroom ravioli, and although it doesn’t look big, it will fill you up. We were also invited to go up to the salad buffet, which was great — I had some sort of wine dressing that tasted like a raspberry vinaigrette. They had meats to add too, like curry turkey, etc., which you don’t usually see. I had a glass of Riesling that was also good. And then … the dessert buffet! Pretty much any dessert you can think of is on there. I sampled cannolis, tiramisu, ice cream, the list goes on … make sure to save room for dessert, basically. Dinner is a bit pricey(the ravioli was on the low side, at around $ 22, and the steak/lobster is about $ 38) but also very delicious. Breakfast, day 2: Wires got a little crossed and they didn’t know we were still doing breakfast that day; however, it was quickly remedied and we had the breakfast buffet again. They had a different type of potatoes and sausage(circular patties instead of links), but were still good. The breakfast buffet is $ 15 which really isn’t bad, especially if you plan on eating a lot and/or don’t want to leave the hotel for breakfast. I’d recommend Giulio & Sons for those staying at the hotel or who live in the area.

The quality has come down :(big time. This restaurant was nested inside the Hyatt and recently(1 – 2 years?) became Adoba. I believe this hotel chain is supposed to market environmental conscious customers, but I still like the upscale luxury of the old days. The restaurant looks sharp(still) and the menu is about the same. The salad bar and dessert bar was went down. Execution of the dishes and Service were really sad. We had reservations last Sunday and the buffet was not ready until 20min after we were seated. The waiter was clueless about the menu and the buffet offerings. The menu comes in IPADS, nice to be able to see real pictures, but the wine menu had only DRY white wine options! How can you have only DRY wine? And by the way, my wine was not that dry so I think they need a new sommelier to revamp the wine menu. I ordered Salmon(ok), my daughter had Chicken in her pasta and it was SUPERSALTY. They gave us garlic toast… really?! Our table had 5 adults and 2 kids, only 2 more tables were being served until the end of lunch hour… so that explains the sadness of the menu and waiter motivaiton … I guess the weekdays are better for business lunch hour…

Ordered a turkey burger only to find out 10 min later that they ran out of turkey burgers smh. How the hell?! I had to go with my 2nd choice, the lobster sandwich. The fact that the lobster was $ 9 and the turkey burger was $ 13 definitely set off alarms in my head and that’s prob why I didn’t choose it initially. Not like I had a choice, but Always trust your intuition smh. I’m pretty sure the lobster was imitation and it was definitely flavorless. Umm at least the fries were crispy as ordered smh.

This is my favorite place for dining in Dearborn. Located in the Adoba Dearborn, the food here is always spot on. I have ordered off the menu and had their salad and market bar. I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend saving room for the dessert bar because there are always plenty of delicious sweet options that are a great ending to your meal! If going for dinner — ask for Richie — he is the best! They have 2 new chefs with a new menu and you can’t go wrong! I can’t wait to take my husband to try out the new menu!

Today I took my family to this restaurant for thanksgiving. Call me lazy, I just didn’t feel like cooking. The five of us arrived a bit early but were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Adoba hotel in Dearborn. It is lovely, easy to find, just on the edge of the fair lane mall property. The meal began with a buffet offering of breads, salads, veggies, pasta salad, beet salad, olives soups etc. honestly, I had to pace myself. Could have filled up right there! Next was the meat station where the turkey and ham were being carved upon request but a very nice gentleman. Here there were a variety of mustards and gravy as well. The buffet of veggies included mashed potatoes, real. Not fake, a nice dressing, some amazing green beans, Brussels sprouts and of course sweet potatoes, heavenly!, I enjoyed a nice Merlot and some fun family time. But at last, time for dessert!, Cupcakes, carrot cake, chocolate cake, bread pudding with hot fudge and caramel sauce options, brownies, chocolates covered nut and dried cherry candies, crime puffs, spice cake, puddings, and more. Oh my! I was stuffed. We waddled put happy campers. Headed home for nap time! Well done. See you next year!

This place was a wonderful suprise. I was staying at the Adoba hotel for work, which is actually a real nice hotel and doing an eco-friendly thing. I decided to check this place out because it was in the hotel. I was promptly sat and they brought out freshly grilled garlic bread and a simple and delicious green/black olive relish to accompany it. Each entrée comes with a salad and soup bar that had grilled vegetables, fresh tomato florentine bisque, hummus, and three or four fresh pasta salads. Really great food and evidently they only use Organic ingredients, which is another great selling point. I plan to eat here a few more times this trip. Also you get your choice of desserts. I had their Croissant Bread Pudding with fresh caramel and fudge sauce. Unbelievable.

Talk about the best free continental breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. It is a restaurant and everything is gourmet. They had every fruit fresh that you could ever think of. They have a bunch of bagels and muffins. They had cereal and casseroles. They had orange juice. You can even take your food to go and pile up a huge box of food for later.

I enjoyed a great meal tonight. I had the Rainbow Trout as my entrée. But what really put the place over the top for me was the salad and dessert bars.(The salad bar comes with the meal.) The salads were very fresh and the choices were many. The same holds true for the dessert bar. But what really topped it off was the service. I was waited on hand and foot, as if I were the only patron in the place! I tip my hat to Rich. He did a great job.

I can’t help but give this a 5* rating after the service I had lastnight. The waiting staff was perfect, understandi. g and very much helpful and quick at providing service. The smoked salmon at the buffet reminded me of being on a cruise once again, fresh, smoked o perfection. Bottom Line delicious. I ordered the rib eye, medium well and grilled perfect, the baked potato for some reason I felt was the best I’ve had. I def will visit again sometime. I usually don’t write much reviews on here and if I do its cause the place is worth writing about. May be take a special date there.

I am still in a Food/Drink coma from the Mothers Day buffet I attended with my family on Sunday evening. I’ve been coming here every Mother’s Day with my family for years now, so many that we know the Servers/Waitress by name and they seem to remember us too. This year my family spend a good 3hrs there having a grand time. Our requested Server — Renee(?) was spot on and top notch. No matter what anyone requested she hooked us up. Most of the family loves Mimosa’s however I love coffee. Every year I ask for ND creamer and every year they Never have any. Sad really, so many people cannot tolerate Milk I would think at least once they would have Soy Milk or ND powdered creamer. This year I would not let it get me down… I asked for Espresso… and Espresso I received. I think all in all I drank at least 4 double espressos. They were excellent. Came with a rock candy stirrer too… the sugar slowly melts into the brew. The espresso was better than anything I can make at home. Very strong and very good. One of the best things I had this year in my humble opinion. The Buffet was extravagant again… Better this year than last year. I really missed the Prime Rib from last year… this year they offered Ham and Smoked Turkey. There was no sauce or gravy though. They instead offered some odd concoction that looked and smelled like Marmalade. Sorry I would of preferred some sort of Apple/Pear Chutney instead for the Ham. Overall my food favorites were the Omelets, the Beef short ribs, the Broccoli, and the Dark Chocolate Mousse. Thankfully I had my benadryl with me to counteract any Dairy. Now that I am a New Unilocaler I will have to remember to keep a log of my experience again at the next Mother’s Day Buffet.

SUNDAYBRUNCHREVIEW Warm, comfortable restaurant which can accommodate just about any size group and/or level of dress from jeans to semifinal cocktail apparel. My family and I were looking for a nice place for Sunday brunch, preferably buffet since we had a time frame to work within. Giulio & Sons was perfect. Although they open/start seating at noon and do take reservations we were a bit early and they didn’t even flinch when they promptly seated us while reviewning the many buffet islands and menu. Gwen, who has been there for many many years always makes you feel very welcome introduced our server who immediately took our beverage order and offered champagne which is included. The food select wasn’t huge or extensive but perfect for brunch. They had all your traditional fare. This isn’t extremely creative or at a 5 star level but delicious quality dining and all for around $ 24.(They also have children’s prices) Hot Buffet — Traditional foods prepared perfect and with servers at each area, all pretty presentations. A little odd since this is set up just outside the restaurant entrance but it works! Waffles Omelet Station Roast Beef Ham Pasta Fish Breakfast meats Cold Buffet — Set up inside the restaurant, all set up pretty and everything was nicely chilled. Several marinated salads — The mushrooms were excellent! Several pasta salads Cheese selection Smoke fish & Salmon Relishes Salad line Chilled shrimp Dessert Buffet — This has been down sized. Past visits it was much more elaborate with more creative selections. Still very nice. Several pie selections Mouse both vanilla and chocolate used in several desserts(this seems to be a bit of cheating but I their mouse is very good so I’ll let it go) Truffles Cream puffs Tarts Caramel Sauce with pastry’s and fruit for dipping We had an excellent brunch and our server was perfect and timely. Water never empty, sodas refilled, plates cleared, coffee offered and topped off discreetly and there wasn’t a food selection which anyone was disappointed with. We will be back!

Ok I’m staying at the hotel, its a nice hotel. Upon check in I have a minor issue so they gave me a free breakfast buffet coupon. I get to my room & see the buffet had made to order omlets listed on the menu in my room & I saw they served smoked salmon so I was hoping it was really nice. No salmon and no omlet, just warm scrambled eggs, a bunch of pretty pastries, cold cereal, watered down oatmeal, fresh fruit consisted of hard cantaloupe and honeydew, cottage cheese & yogurt with canned fruit and at the end warm potatoes, random cheese… & I love cheese but just cheese, bacon & sausage, soggy French toast and if you want regular toast or a bagel be prepared to wait it’s a slow toaster… just 1 toaster so there is a line. Needless to say I am sitting here disappointed that being on West Coast time I decided to wake up early(3 hour time change) for this awful breakfast when I could have cought up on some much needed sleep. I can say it was clean and the servers were very nice but at $ 16 a person I would definately eat someplace else.

Went here for the wife’s birthday. A bit of a mistake. She reminisced about how the restaurant looked like a cruise ship galley on the way in, but not nearly as nice. Menu seems to be packed with seafood over land animals, but if their sodium-rich lobster bisque is any indication on preparation quality, I’d recommend the chicken. I say this because my beef came back well done after I ordered it rare to medium-rare. In the spirit of full disclosure: the second steak was cooked properly, even if I did have to eat it after she was done. I tend to over-spicy my *everything*. The guy making the garlic bread has me beat. Ruined every appetizer. If there was an ambiance, it was ruined by the weird acoustics amplifying the couple sitting next to us slurping their food. I’ve heard less noise at a truck stop diner. It was just flat out weird. The staff were very professional and I would mark them high even after the steak mishap. I believe it is obvious from my prior reviews that I’m not hard to impress, but Giulio & Sons didn’t. There are several decent restaurants within a very close proximity that I would heartily recommend over this.

Unimaginative menu, poor quality and lousy service on my first visit Saturday evening. It was 7:00PM on a Saturday night and there were only 20 people in the restaurant. I ordered Herb Crusted Tilapia and found the crust to be like a thick and hard shell. I did not like it. Later I realized that you don’t go to the Detroit area and order seafood. So I went back a few nights later and had a phenominal filet mignon and great service. The menu still needs to be improved(all fish dishes were stuffed with something) and the crowd was smaller than that on the Saturday evening. The tables do not have tablecloths but are something you expect to find in a deli. That could easily improve the atmosphere. So I average it all out and get 3 stars!
