Unilocal recommended this place in their email this week, thought I would stop by while I was working. I was going to be on that side of town late afternoon, didn’t eat lunch was so happy for a vege/fruit smoothie… only to find out the place is closed. Out of business, totally empty inside. Was an interesting drive though.

Got a orange/carrot/green apple raw juice. It was excellent. Only 4 bucks Is unbelievable. The owner is very accommodating. I would highly recommend it.

I rarely make it out to Dearborn, but after dropping a friend off at the airport, I decided I needed to try something over there. Rodger W. comes through again! Misho Juice is a tiny storefront with just 2 tables and a counter with some blenders behind it. Oh and did I mention fresh fruit? Yep its everywhere. I walked in and saw a couple guys drinking this orange drink and I asked them what they had. They replied, the cocktail mix, which is a mix with what must be nearly all the fruit offerings on the menu. Plus like Rodger said, the menu is kind of incomprehensible. Plus there was a drink list on the wall that differed from the paper menu… Anyway, after waiting for 3 smoothie orders ahead of me, it was my turn. I ordered the cocktail mix, smoothies come in three sizes, at $ 4, $ 5, $ 6. Then the owner, who was awesome, started on my drink. After he made my drink, I asked him what was in the cocktail mix, and he listed an endless supply of fruits that I can’t remember. The store also offers«chunky» drinks, fruits cups and veggie smoothies that all looked pretty good. I’ll be honest that I was a little intimidated going to the Warren Rd. area of Dearborn, since I’d never been before, but everyone at the shop was really nice. The owner had these awesome and very intricate side burn designs, they looked like waves, that must have needed to be touched up carefully, daily. I asked about the side burns and he said he used to work in a salon in his home country. When I finally received my drink, I stuck a straw in and found pure bliss. I thought I knew what a good smoothie tasted like, but I was wrong. I think it was the little bit of sugar cane that made the drink extra tasty or perhaps it was the complex flavor of a blend of a ton of different fruit. Either way I will be returning for another smoothie, perhaps when that friend returns from his business trip.

Moe, our Lebanese Canadian coworker comes through again! I was craving a Tuhamas Kafta sandwich and decide to try the Juice bar a few doors down that came highly recommended. I went inside and saw piles of fresh fruit; bananas, kiwis, apples, mangoes, coconuts, and much more. I looked at the Arabic menu and was a bit overwhelmed. with the choices. I asked the fella tending the bar to make me his best drink. He asked if I wanted chunky or smooth, to which I replied(of course) chunky. He proceeded to grab ripe bananas, strawberries, grapes, mango, kiwi, strawberry, blueberry, green and red apples, pears, papaya, and 3 different juices. He began assembling the ingredients into a multilayer cup of deliciousness. When the top was reached, he put on a dollop of ricotta, and topped it with almonds, pistachios, dates, and coconut. It was a marvel. See the picture. 4 dollars. Love in a cup, folks. Thanks again Moe!!!
