Simply the best subs! I love this place so much I actually crave their food sometimes. The steak and cheese is one of the best I ever had. The subs have great flavor, huge quantity, and priced right. Great service! The owners are so friendly and cheerful. They will always greet you with a smile and happily welcome you. You can tell they love what they do and it shows in there final product. This place is a must try! I promise they will not disappoint.

This is the best sub place ever! I haven’t had a better Philly cheesesteak then this place. The lines are long at lunch time so be aware but worth the wait!

I love this place. I use to go when I was an intern in the area, now 20 years later I came by and had almost the exact same food I had 20 years ago.
The owner is the same which amazed me, cooking his own meals for his loyal followers.
To me food is an intimate experience and I enjoy it more knowing I know who is cooking my food.

I used to like this place until today. — Dirty, unclean,
Stood in line, paid the cashier. she punched it in to her Keyboard walked over with my card in her hand grabbed sub buns from the bag with no gloves and no hand washing.
finally got my sandwich as I walked out to the car the cook came out and yelled — I accidentally gave you a whole instead of a half which I hadnt noticed. She wanted it back. OK whatever. so I go inside to get another sandwich she takes the whole thing out of the wrap splits it in two. no gloves then wraps it up and gives it back to me — she also touched the door to come outside and the trash can before she went back. she even wrapped up the other half for another customer after I took it outside!!! No bueno.
Never going again. I would have made a thing about it, but my coworkers will want to go back so i dont want to get them banned.

I will say my first sub here, stole my taste buds. Subs are made to perfection, my family has had perfect subs 100%, always, also the friendliest service for all the costumers. Delicious dessert as well. Thanks for all your friendly, sweet services. Ricky & Family.

Best Subs in Metro Detroit if not the world!!! The food is amazing but the customer service provided by Ricky and his family is beyond amazing. I’ve been going to this place since 1994. I’m in the military and have traveled the world and nothing… I mean nothing comes close. Mushroom Steak and Cheese is my sub. Huge portions… There is no way you can eat a whole sub (NFL lineman exempt from that comment).

There Philly cheesesteak is so so delicious there fries aren’t that good especially if you order take out same with the sub my only complaint is that it gets soggy pretty quick you have to eat it on the spot cheese cake is not as good as it looks.

Best subs in the state. The owner and his family are very friendly people. Service is fast. Orders are always right. Love this place.

Ricky’s is living the life I wish I had. They close at 5. They close on Sunday’s. They serve 18 INCH SUBS! They don’t need to stay open in order to keep their place running. They make a living off their lunch customers.
They’ve been around for a long time and haven’t changed a bit. They have a great product and they leave it at that. They don’t do anything crazy or different. They make fresh subs, in large portions, at great pricing.
You’re greeted with hellos when you come in. They treat all their customers like regulars here.

Recently the Owner reached out «to make things right and asked to give him another chance by having a sub on him»… though I won’t be back, I can **fully** appreciate his effort in trying to correct the issue. For that I lift my 1-​star review to a 2-​star review. Thank you Ricky!

Ricky is a very classy guy who is very passionate about making sub sandwiches. Sue is also top notch taking orders with pure precision!!! I had the best Philly steak sub in Michigan hands down. The quality of the steak and toppings are out of this world. You will never return to any of the chain sub shops once you have had a sub from Ricky’s. It would be criminal to your taste buds if you did. Keep up the good work Ricky & Sue!!! I wish I could give you 10 stars.

Just have to mention what a great guy Ricky is. The subs are consistently amazing. Been going here for ~20 years and never had a bad experience. Never tried anything other than the Steak and Cheese… probably never will. Took my brother in law and sister in law in recently. My husband introduced them to Ricky and mentioned they were from out of town. He thanked us for bringing them in and gave them two giant pieces of carrot cake. Thanks Ricky!

Finally! When people toss around the words «Best Philly in Town», I gotta find out about it. Here we have Ricky’s. I got the philly with mushrooms, onions, and peppers with everything except pickles. I purchased a pickle on the side (they come whole, not sliced and be sure to ask for an individually packaged one) and an order of fries. The service was super friendly, fast, and accurate. At first bite, my sandwich was amazing! I thought I finally could indeed end the quest for the best philly but after three bites, I’d had enough. The sandwich was good, just not the best. I won’t even mention the fries. Bottom line is I would come back and it’s better than most other philly spots. The atmosphere and the service create a complete experience and Ricky seems like a positive guy.

I needed a quick bite by the airport. Scored with Ricky’s. He greeted me at the door and walked me through what makes his place different, quality meat. The Philly was great and the customer service was memorable. Thanks Ricky!

First time there since our first pick was closed. We were glad. I got the philly steak with everything, and my S/​O got the Mushroom Steak with everything. Also got fries and cheese sticks. Fries were cajun and thin and crispy, cheese sticks were hot and fresh. Steaks were meaty, fresh, hot and stuffed with ingredients. The service was quick, but we paid 30 bucks. But we had lunch and dinner. We will definitly be back.

Ordered a whole philly and didn’t realize the size of these monstrous sandwiches. Sandwich was delicious but couldn’t finish the whole thing. I explained to them that I didn’t realize how big the sandwich was and couldn’t eat the whole thing and wanted to know if someone was hungry and wanted the other half. They offered me cash back for the other half and gave me a cookie. How awesome is that? Needless to say I just put the money back in the tip jar and kept my cookie. Great people, good food, and did I mention great people. Will be going back for sure the next time I’m in the area.

Legit, seriously. Fantastic service coupled with fantastic subs. First time here, if it’s my last it’s because I’m dead. So amazing, thanks Ricky!

If you want a freshly made sub this is the place to be. My favorite is the turkey sub or the «Brontosaurus sub». I am also love the corn beef sub. The fact that you can watch your food being cooked fresh adds a whole different aspect to you eating experience. The is not the big but it has a warm feeling to eat there. The owner makes each customer feel welcome and wanted. I frequent thus place at least once a month with coworkers and my family. The bread is made soft and warm and the meat are tender and juicy. The price for what you get is just right and you will not leave there hungry. If you want a great sub for a reasonable price and a good atmosphere you need to stop in and say hi to Rick.
