I moved to this area three years ago and Save-A-Lot has been very convenient for me. I’m a Target gal, but when I just need a loaf of bread or some eggs, SAL comes to the rescue because it’s right down the street. The store recently underwent renovations to make it neater and brighter. A lot of their products are store-brand, but you’ll find some name-brand items as well. Prices are comparable to other grocery store generics. I’ve used almost every baking ingredient you can think of and been happy with the results/taste/quality. I can’t do all my grocery shopping here, though. They don’t offer fresh ground beef or even boneless, skinless chicken breast on the regular. I see it more as a grocery convenience store. Tip: They don’t provide bags, so bring your own, use any empty product box you find while shopping, or buy their bags for 10c a pop.
