The food is just alright. For my palate, I found the it slightly bland. The lamb meat preparation was very tender and if I ever go there again, I will probably order the same dish. They have a separate section for family which is nice. If you like Yemen cuisine, then I guess you might like the place better. Else just skip this one.

Fantastic food. Best lamb ever. A bit pricy, but not unreasonable for the amount of food you get.

Had a truly fantastic meal here. Came in with a party of 11 and the staff were more than accommodating and helpful with our order. Along with the rest of this delicious feast, the lamb and chicken hanith as well as the rice it was served over is some of the best food I’ve had in Michigan. Will definitely be back!

I was recommended to go to this place by an acquaintance from Saudi Arabia. Moreover, I know Yemeni food reasonably well(family), and, I have to say, that this is some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff took care of our party of 11 with no problems whatsoever, and helped the people who had never had Middle Eastern food work through the menu. The Lamb Hanith was so tender, it was almost melted in my mouth, and the chicken povided a nice, juicy complement. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. All told, everyone agreed that this was the highlight of our evening. We will be back!

The best authentic Yemeni food I had ever. Yemeni and Somali food are very similar but trust me they exceed us by miles in taste. Friendly service crew as well.

When we walked in two customers at the first table asked if we had been in before. They recommended what they were eating and when we were seated the waiter recommended the same dish(Haneeth) and one other. The food was excellent, the other patrons were friendly and chatty. As I was paying at the counter one of the customers that had come in for a take out dessert was also paying. I asked what his order and he got spoons and gave my wife and I a taste. So good that we ordered some to go. If you havent had Yemeni food it is well worth trying and this restaurant great.

I know Yemeni food, and this place is authentic Yemeni and boy was it good. If you are new to Yemeni food, I highly recommend ordering the Haneeth. You won’t regret it. Also, for dessert, go for the sabaya… it is pricey, but as someone who makes sabaya, I know that it is a long and tedious process and it is worth the cost and time! If you are in a small group and don’t think you can finish it, take it home and have it for breakfast! Or a snack!

Food is a 4 star but service is a 2 star. Service took too long. But food was delicious. I didn’t like the seating, not comfortable.

Delicious hole in the wall. It takes you back to any typical gulf city with separate family and men zones. Seating is on the floor and communal platters are served. To get the best of the experience embrace all of it, roll up your sleeves and eat with you hands. Trust me you will quickly realize this is the best way to eat

My experience at Sheeba is like no other. This is not your typical Middle Eastern restaurant. Yemenese food does not have your garden variety — shawarmas, falafel, hummus. But what it does offer is meat… hunks of the most tender meat I have ever had in my life. The ambience is strange, it’s definitely hole in the wall kind of place. I went with a Non-middle Eastern person and we were the only non-Arabic speaking people at the restaurant. They divided the restaurant into sections, one section in the back for families and the regular section where I was also the only woman at the restaurant. I know friends of mine have warned me about that, I personally didn’t experience any harassment or any major stares and the restaurant staff was nice to us. But again, if you are female, I probably would go with at least one male companion. Got the platter for 2 to share, portion size is totally off the charts. It’s great for trying different types of meat. Also, the platter size comes with your choice of soup or salad. They have raised the price on the platters sometime recently as the menu on Unilocal is slightly outdated(now $ 29.99). The lamb haneeth is my favorite, amazingly well cooked lamb with great flavoring. We couldn’t finish most of the rice. Also, the meat/rice is meant to be eaten with your fingers and soft warm flat bread that they provide judging by what the other patrons were doing but thankfully they gave us utensils. Overall, it’s an authentic experience that will may make you feel out of your comfort zone but the food is really worth it.

The only reason why i am giving them 2 stars is because of my last experience there even tho they deserve more but let’s just put it this way hoping things will change. The place is always crowded which is good cuz it gives me an appetite to attack food lol. I have been going there for almost 3 weeks nonstop, but lately i had an issue with the constant change of their prices! Honestly great food but in my personal opinion i think they have two problems like any other restaurants: 1)their prices are always changing and it all depends on the cashier mode or if you know somebody or you are«A Bro» they will take care of you. 2)poor customer service which is not an issue for me but when someone takes your order and for more than 30 mins long time waiting they come back to you to tell you«we are closing»! They FORGOT you even there and FORGOT your order! Plus they let you keep waiting like you are nobody, even-though they did fix their mistake. Which will not change my opinion. Other than that the place is clean enough, but it stinks. Food is very very good plus their choices are amazing. I haven’t been in their other locations but definitely i will pay them a visit. And YES i recommend going there.

Order lamb meat, you get only thick bones. Very much more expensive than Sheeba Restaurant in Hamtramck. I would give 6 stars to Sheeba Hamtramck. 2 stars for this branch. p. s. rude staff
