I’ve stopped in this store a couple of times simply because I happened to be in the area and wanted some brew right away. It hit me yesterday that Andy’s rivals some of the better known craft brew stores in town. Awesome selection and the prices are not a rip off. Like others say, the outside is deceiving, but since this is a decent part of town it shouldn’t be too shocking what is on offer inside. Friendly service doesn’t hurt either. Will be going back.

Ignore the scrubby appearance of this older strip center this is a great neighborhood store. The staff is great, friendly, and knowledgeable and generally remembers what you usually buy. There is a very impressive import & craft beer selection, decent wine selection and most of the quality liquors you will need.

Great staff. Great selection. I’ve been very happy with the beer and liquor that the staff has suggested, and they are always very friendly.

You may have gathered all of this from the other reviews but I’m going to say it anyway. At first glance the store may look like a crap hole with a crappy parking lot(even after the paint job), but there is more than meets the eye. The selection is unlike any other package store. There is a wide variety of beers to choose from. I like to pick out a few I’ve never tried just to be adventurous, or maybe even try a recommendation from Rocky or his staff. Aside from the usual liquor selection, there is usually a bottle or two of scotch that you might not normally see gracing the shelves. The prices are fair and they always keep it interesting. This is my favorite neighborhood package store.

Don’t be afraid by the outside of the store… go in and witness the wonderment! I freakin’ love this place! Ok Ok, it’s not the size of Green’s or Total Wine but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character. Good selection of wine, beer & spirits… blah, blah… everyone has the same liquor and wine is hit or miss. What makes this place special is the owners and the beer selection. Craft Brew heaven! Ahhhhhh…(angels singing). They have a little of everything. If you can think of your favorite they probably have it. It takes me 20 minutes or so to shop here because of the variety. They move beer fast so stock gets rotated, shuffled and replaced often. Don’t see what you are looking for then just ask Rocky. I asked him for a certain beer and he spotted it in a cooler over 60 feet away. Brilliant this guy is! Also, if you bring craft beer to the counter you WILL be propositioned to try some limited edition wonderfulness… I count on being upsold every time and he has never disappointed. Great service, excellent knowledge of beers and good prices…5 stars all the way!

This my hidden gem when I am near Decatur, and thankfully it’s still a good secret to the majority of the beer people locally. My lady turned me on to them after she heard they had Southern Tier’s Mokah, I was surprised from the looks of the building and went to verify. Yes, it’s a small place and would seemingly be full of hobos and hookers, but it’s nothing like that. Imagine Tower East but in a much cleaner area. They have a very good selection of wine and liquor, stuff I know of, stuff I’ve never heard of, but plenty of it. The aisles are actually tight for larger people as they’re trying to take advantage of every inch of floor space, there’s literally that much inventory. The beer selection though, A+. It’s not huge, but they stock a very wide variety of nearly everything you can imagine, a few you can’t, and a few you’ve never heard of. I’ve been turned on to a few beers that no one else seems to have, and one that’s not even brewed anymore. And the man behind the counter, Rocky, is just an awesome guy. Always happy to see me, always eager to let me know what’s new, he’s had a few rare beers that no one else got or sold out of the same day. It’s surprising to see a beer here that Tower and Green’s can’t get, but it happens pretty regularly. That is just something to be happy about, because I know where to go.

This liquor store on the corner of L’vill hwy and Mclendon is more than it appears. From the outside is looks like your typical liquor store, displaying the usual beer signs, etc. On the inside, a real surprise. This isn’t a super fancy liquor store or anything, but they have a number of gems if you look closely. This is my neighborhood store and I continue to be impressed how they balance the wants of the neighborhood and the wants of the specialty consumer. They have a way better than average craft/Belgium beer selection. The whole back wall of coolers is dedicated to craft beers. Don’t miss the cooler up front with craft/Belgian bomber bottles. Don’t see what you want? Ask the staff, they know about all the beer that’s available in the market right now. As for booze. They have a good selection of small batch bourbon, gin, whiskey, rum, vodka, and tequila. They have all the usual suspects, but if you are wanting a bottle of special stuff, they got you covered. The wine selection is good here too. I don’t drink alot of wine, but the manager is very passionate about the wine selection. Good neighborhood place with great service. Ask for Rocky or Juan.

My hubby loves this place. They carry a wide selection of craft beers and the manager(Rocky) is awesome and always recommends new beers for him to try. The prices are reasonable as well. Unrelated to the store, but on a personal note, I once had a cold and was with my hubby checking out and the manager recommended an Indian cold cure that actually worked. That’s how personable they are. This place is not just a liquor store, it’s a neighborhood establishment. :)
