I had lost my master key and only had the valet key to my 2000 Toyota Avalon. The dealer had told me that my car computer would need to be taken out and flashed, in order to replace my lost 2000 Toyota Avalon master key. A local locksmith told me the same thing. The local locksmith said that he needed the master key in order to program any additional master keys. Both the dealer and the locksmith referred me to a third party to get my car’s computer flashed. When I went to Covington Highway Locksmith & Remotes and told them what I needed, Brian said that he could make a master key from the valet key for $ 70, without hesitation. The dealer cost for the key alone was $ 60 plus $ 59 to program the key. After about an hour, I had a working master key and an extra car door key for $ 70. I was quite pleased. I went back later that same day to get another remote key for a 2013 Camry made. It cost $ 150. They were done in about 15 minutes.
