A great venue to catch a show with friends! They have two bars to choose form plus waitstaff for the tables inside the venue. Lots of great artists, local and not come here. The burger and fish tacos are great. Yes, the serve food! If you don’t want to eat here you can always walk to one of the great Decatur restaurants. Parking is available at a price or you can do like most and drive around Decatur until you find a spot. Another option is to take Marta and get off at the Decatur stop.

This is one of my very favorite venues in the world for experiencing music. And I do mean experiencing! Eddie’s is a listening room — not a bar. It is small and can feel a bit crowded when there is someone popular playing, but even when crowded, the crowd usually comprises a «seasoned» crowd of folks who are quiet and respectful of the artist. Most nights, there will be no loud conversations, or talking over the music. We have always had a wonderful experience here. We have seen Slaid Cleaves(x2), Al Stewart, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Suzy Bogguss, Joshua James and John Oates here. There is a restaurant and bar area on the patio outside for those who want to talk and/or are not attending an event. The food is pretty good, but this is not a food review. They also have a bar in the listening room and will serve you food in there, as well. I recommend the beignets and a pitcher of local craft beer. Also, for the best experience, get a group of four folks and reserve a table. Get there early and check in so you can get first choice of seats. Then grab a drink on the patio. You will not regret it!

Awesome music venue. Very cozy, obviously not for good food but it is a great place as watering hole and hang out.

Tight seating but an intimate atmosphere to hear live music. Eat somewhere else beforehand and be safe, order wine. The mixed drinks were terrible and we were served frozen edamame.

Eddie’s, I hardly knew you! We have been coming since this wonderful music venues opened — we are Trackside alums– not as often as of late. Last night’s show was a terrible disappointment. Not because of the music of course. The band was great. Just about everything else was pretty awful. There was a strong sewer odor in the hall and in the listening room, which eventually went away. After paying a high price for a very small glass of wine, I opted for a mixed drink. It was so weak that it resembled a gin and tonic more than a bourbon and soda. My waiter told me there was nothing he could do, as his manager made the drink. The food was also subpar. The chicken nachos were watery, had very little cheese, and featured seemingly boiled, stringy chicken. The endaname seemed aged. I’ve eaten here many times in the past. Last night was a shock. Hopefully an isolated incident. The musician was terrific — Joanne Jolley. I hope she comes back to Atlanta soon but I’m afraid I would hesitate to see her at Eddies.

Great music great fun. Came to see the Packway Handle Band. This was a very cool place near cool restaurants on Decatur square. Will definitely return.

I saw Cracker play unplugged here in June, 2015. It’s probably one of the smallest venues I have ever seen a musical act perform. I was there for Cracker acoustic show. Great ambience, but arrive early to get a good seat! I would like to return as the food looked tasty!

I am very, very sad about my experience here. As a longtime Decatur resident, I was excited to go to this iconic Decatur venue. I could have waited another several years to try, however. Bought tickets to a Laughing Skull comedy showcase, and the posted price was $ 10 per ticket — but I was charged $ 15. My delightfully clever companion suggested that I take a screenshot of the $ 10 price to get a refund from the venue. I was blown off multiple times when I attempted to resolve this via email, as the person in charge of their customer service told me that this was a great show, and while the website had been incorrect(which he or she only admitted AFTER I sent the picture), I was charged the correct(wrong?) price, so therefore all was well. Um, it was not, and could have easily been resolved with a free drink or 2, but whatever. The venue itself was fine. The service was ok, although I was puzzled by one member of the waitstaff who whispered behind a closed fist so as not to disturb the comedians onstage, but proceeded to have a full volume conversation at the bar. Also whatever. Not whatever was the food. Holy god, friends, it was abominable. Yes, it’s bar food. Yes, I probably should have stuck with a burger or nachos. But I had to order the chicken parmesan with a side of «Decatur’s best mac and cheese.» The chicken was either under or over cooked, I really could not tell. It was inedible. And sad news for Decatur if that was it’s mac and cheese game. And when the server cleared my(mostly full) plate and I tried to explain just how bad the food was, he kind of nodded and went away. The comedians were mostly great, and that is what saved this. Hard to beat a few block walk to see a bunch of great comedians. But I will definitely think long and hard before I do that again. It’s worth the drive to midtown or Perimeter to go to a professionally run venue.

Eddie’s is The Historic Listening Room in Decatur, Ga. It seems like sooner or later all the greats play here. Intimate and quirky like Historic Decatur, Eddie’s is my favorite place on earth to see live music. Check out Gospel Brunch, too, for authentic Southern Blues Gospel and a delicious brunch.

Ugh. What was once THE place to catch a show has gone downhill since the departure of the Attic’s namesake. The Attic still books some pretty great artists, but the artists nor the audience are getting the same intimate listening room experience as before. The sound quality is down and the no talking rule isn’t enforced. Glasses tinkering, orders being taken, staff trying to bring food through the crowd, refrigerator light glaring from behind the bar… It all adds up to a subpar experience. Check out Eddie’s new venue, EDDIEOWENPRESENTS in downtown Duluth. Sure it’s OTP, but I’m down with the OTP, yeah you know me.

The host walked us to our seats and I thought she was high on sum’thing after she showed us our seats at a tiny table with two strangers already seated comfortably. For my long legs or anyone who’s over 5’8 this place is not for you. No leg room, tight seating arrangement and shared tables, uncomfortable to say the least but if you could overlook the above and you have short legs and don’t mind waiters butts in your face. This could possibly, potentially be a nice spot.

Love coming here for concerts. It’s always a good time. It’s an intimate atmosphere so you can feel really connected to the artist. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are definitely reasonably priced. Every time I’ve had food there it was great. I’ve had the taco trio as well as the mixed berry dessert with ice cream and both were phenomenal. Just saw Matthew Mayfield there last night and he played for over two hours. It was great!

This is a nice venue if your into the singer /songwriter scene. I would recommend going on a Monday to open mic night. The musicians are very talented and each play 3 songs apiece that must all be original. Good date spot, but not for a first date. They are pretty anal about no talking so be sure you have done all your talking before bringing somebody here.

Really cool little venue. Watched Micheal Tolcher play here. Very personal setting and one of the best places in Atlanta to see up and coming artists. Its a bit cramped and you will be very close to the other tables who, if they so decide to sit in a certain way, will block your view/annoy you with their dancing. Other than that though, the drinks are good and so is the food. There is an outside patio with very friendly bartenders as well. Overall, I had an excellent experience here. One star deducted for the cramped quarters and annoying neighboring tables which can put a damper on your night.

Eddie’s Attic is an Atlanta institution. Think of it as a «listening room» rather than a concert venue. It’s small, cozy and sees a ton of early talent rolling through its doors. It is a little cramped, but that is absolutely part of the charm. The stage is located upstairs right off the square in Decatur. The room is filled with 4 top tables, a long bar and some stairs that double as sets. The tables are reserved when you buy your tickets. They seat a maximum of 4 and at the show I went to, they were all reserved ahead of time. This means anyone who opted to not pay the couple dollars extra for a table(me) had to fight it out between seats at the bar and on the stairs. I arrived about an hour before the show started and my friend and I got the last two seats at the bar. People under 21 can attend shows for an extra $ 4. The food at Eddie’s Attic wasn’t my most favorite, but if you are going to be somewhere from 6:30 — 11:00, you are probably going to want to eat there. I ordered a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fries were really good, but the sandwich was mediocre and on the boring side. I also noticed the lady next to us sent her food back for some reason. It might be a good idea to ask the bar tenders or waiters what they recommend. The bar tenders were really nice and honest when I asked them about different things on the menu. Overall I think Eddie’s Attic is great and that there should be more corners of the world like it. For such a small space, they have excellent acoustics. I like that the interior seems dated and worn in rather than spotlessly clean and modern. I also really enjoy seeing bands and singer songwriters that I’ve only kind of heard of before. As a place to eat, not my favorite. As a place to see live music, one of the best.

An intimate and unassuming gem of a venue. I’ve always heard about the legendary acts that played at the Attic before they got their big breaks. I was excited to finally visit this beloved breeding ground for musical talent. I came on a Tuesday evening to see Ben Taylor play. Parking could not have been easier — I parked along the street in a metered spot across from the Chick-fil-A and caddy corner to the Eddie’s Attic entrance. We got to the Attic around 7:00pm for an 8:00pm show to snag a good spot and grab a bite to eat. By the way — when you buy your tickets ahead of time online, you receive a handy dandy reminder email the day of the show that outlines tips and tricks and rules of the house for a show at Eddie’s Attic. THESPACE: We walked up the creaky old steps to the attic where the doorman checked our IDs, marked off our names on the list, and stamped cute little musical notes onto our hands. I was pleasantly surprised at the small size of the space. If I had to guesstimate, I’d say there’s room for about 40 people. No matter where you sit in the place, you’re going to feel like you are right within reach of the stage. It’s like you’re in a friend’s attic(with a full kitchen and bar) just dropping in for a jam session. I’m a sucker for little shows like this where you really feel like you are up close and personal with the artist. There are little circular tables along the left side of the space on either side of a high-top island of stool seating. All of these tables had little«reserved» signs on them. When you purchase your tickets online, you have the option to purchase single tickets, or purchase a group of 4 to reserve a table ahead of time on a first come, first serve basis. My friend and I bought single tickets and were fortunate to arrive early enough to snag two stools at the worn wooden bar. We had a great spot, but there was an obnoxious pole in the middle of the room right in front of the stage that obstructed our view a bit, so we had to do some awkward leaning to get the view right. The space is old with wooden furnishings, and it’s got a hipster-y vibe with some historic charm. You can just feel that this place has seen some true artists over the years. An interesting feature — along the back wall by the entrance to the main room is a random little set of stairs that I guess you could call stadium seating where people can perch and take in the show. FOODANDDRINK: My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to find that the Eddie’s Attic menu is beyond the stale and bland«bar food» that I’m accustomed to finding at bar venues: a hummus plate, a mahi mahi sandwich, black bean burger… and much more. I was also pleased with their drink list which includes a variety of domestic and imported beers on draft and bottled for anywhere from $ 3.50-$ 7.00. I went for my classic glass of red wine for $ 7.50. Pretty standard price for a glass of wine at a bar, but the pour was very generous. They also have a few quirky cocktails like a special twist on a moscow mule served with Cathead pecan vodka and ginger beer. My friend inquired about the salad special — a lump crab and avocado salad. Our server candidly gave us her opinion on the taste of it, explaining that the texture was a bit odd and unexpected. Deterred by this honest review, my friend ordered the chicken sandwich on a wheat bun with sweet potato fries. I ordered the thai salad with chicken, served up in a hefty bowl with cabbage, lettuce, mandarin oranges, cucumber, and fresh grilled chicken breast. I asked for no won-tons, but they missed that an threw them in anyway so I awkwardly picked them out on a napkin. One weird point worth noting — the bar staff keeps glasses of iceless water queued up at the bar, each with a straw, for anyone who requests water. No ice for you. Also, when I got to the bottom of mine, the servers did not offer to replenish. MUSIC: I’ve been listening to Ben Taylor since I was in high school, so of course I loved his songs and hearing his soothing, folksy voice in person. But the acoustics in the Attic are great. The sound guys worked the controls well and I never felt like I was being deafened by the volume. It’s funny because the crowd is very much anti any kind of talking or whispering or noise-making during the sets. When someone tried to get a whispered word in, he was promptly hushed. Not sure if it was a staff member or a fan, but it was established early on that talking was a no no. I would love to come back to Eddie’s attic for another tasty meal and intimately awesome show. Chill and lovely and all around very satisfying.

I’ve spent a lot of time here over the years. It’s a fun place, has decent prices and some great concerts. You can pay $ 40 for a table if you have a large group, but I have always only been there with 1 or 2 people and just sat by the bar(which is only a few feet from the tables so it’s not like the quality os any different!). Be warned, this place is small and if you go with a large crowd you should absolutely reserve a table. If it’s you and a date, just save the $ 40 and have yourself a full night of food and drinks! Take note and reserve tickets online early for a discount as well! I missed this for a while and felt silly when I found out. Most importantly: Have fun and enjoy the concerts!

I love live music and have been here many times. Overall I would only give it 2 stars. The only way anyone should experience Eddie’s Attic is by reserving a $ 40 table(up to 4people) in advance. This way you can actually sit down and enjoy your time, although the tables are tiny and squshed together. Otherwise, everyone else pays $ 10-$ 14 for a chance to get one of the 20 bar stools in the room, or stand around hovering all evening. There is one carpeted stairs area that can squeeze in 30 – 40 people, just don’t wear a skirt… or need to get back up for any reason. The talent is hit or miss but generally FANTASTIC. My favorite is the raw talent of the singer songwriters. If you have a reserved table then you have the freedom to get up and go to the bathroom or get a breather on the rooftop bar — and have a conversation between sets without your seat being taken when you return. Wings and drinks are good. But when Eddie left the business a couple years ago the crowds talk more in the music room during the sets and the staff is less attentive. People were even sushing each other with no help from the staff. When I want my fix for live music I will be back but not as often. It is in need of more seating or comfortable standing space, and some type of management. We were here for Valentine’s Day and there was no host helping people find their seats or announced the acts. It was very randomly put together.

Came here to see Howie Day and was amazed by what I found… Beignets with caramel dip: HOLYCRAPTHESEAREGOOD. They were hot and sweet and perfection. Soft, coated in sugar, and sweet when dipped in the caramel dip. ORDERTHISYOUWILLNOTREGRET! Calamari: Not bad. Could eat this forever if I wanted to. Its like that for me with their sweet potato fries tooo… nom… Pork tacos: not bad. I thought I wouldn’t be full with the 3 tacos, but that third one was hard for me to finish. So the perfect amount :) wish it came with sides and they weren’t a la carte… Def will come here again someday :) And right next door to Brickstore? YESSIR!
