My kids are now too old for their products, but Feather Baby is still my go-to spot for baby shower gifts. Great selection of unique, organic baby attire. The staff is down to earth and helpful. Highly recommended.

Love Love Love. Great material and sewn well. I think their stuff is adorable for babies. Older kids not so much but 0 – 1 a definite for their wardrobe. They have huge sales as well if they have your email.

While the clothing is cute enough, you can find boutique baby shops all over Decatur, Morningside, etc. My experience here will ensure I don’t return, and I’ll be sure to let my friends know, too. So I stopped into Feather Baby to check it out with my 5 year old, K. The clothes are cute, made for babies up to about 12 mos or so, and they have other little items as well. I was looking at some of the merchandise and K was reading a book. The owner asked, «Are you looking for a gift or something?» and I said I wasn’t, I was just checking out the store; I hadn’t been in before. He told me all the designs were original, by his wife, and they made everything at their own factory in Peru, and that it was 100% organic. I was ooh-ing and ahh-ing at this when he said, «Well, you haven’t even looked at any of the clothes. You have looked at everything but the clothes.» I was taken aback by his need to criticize my shopping, so I just wrapped up my browsing and left. I thought about it, and I decided to say something. I went back in and said, «As one business owner to another, I thought it was important I tell you that I found it very off putting when you chastised me for not looking at the clothing. If I were shopping today, I probably would not have bought here because of that.» I know things like that are tough to hear, and I tried to be as even as possible. He said«Thank you for telling me that» I thought, awesome, I’m glad he heard what I was saying and was about to thank him for being receptive, when he said, «What business do you own?» I told him the name of my businss. And then I realized his sarcastic intention. He said«Oh, well I’ll be sure to come into your business and criticize how you do business» Sorry for the small novel here, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience. It is just so out of the norm for Decatur businesses. We are all so connected to the community, it seems like acting in this way is going to alienate his client base. EDIT: I was contacted by Sude, the owner, who made an apology. That certainly counts for something. So I give it 2 stars, not 1. I will give them another try.

I cannot believe I am writing a review for this place, because I do not have children, but my wife loves this place. I went with her once and the owner told me she designs all of the clothes and they are produced in South America. She had to live there to begin production for a year or more I think she said. That’s pretty cool.

This is a gorgeous, muted store with finely crafted baby clothing. If you need an impressive baby gift, this place is perfect(especially with SMob). It’s upscale, but I noticed a lot of the items were on sale. And they have a sense of humor~“a modern mix-and-match layette collection in soft Peruvian Pima cotton. We believe organic, fair trade baby clothing doesn’t have to be crunchy or boring.“ It’s located near Dancing Goats next to the scooter store. Cheers~
