So, I’ve been back 5 times since my initial review and having to update and take away a star.(I really feel like they should be a 2.5 but since that’s not an option I’m giving 3). The food is good. The pastries are delish. The service is good with one dude(I should have gotten his name). He served us the first time we were there and it’s been other, awful people since. The last 4 times we’ve had to wave people down for refills, ketchup for home fries, syrup for pancakes and other common items. They aren’t as friendly as him. He is always running around working hard and smiling and everyone else acts like they are miserable and doing you a favor. Really sad because it could be a good place if the workers were better.

Good for breakfast. Wait staff look sloppy and totally unkempt. I had a HALF sandwich, chicken salad, and ice tea — and chips(Ruffles, nothing special) for which I paid $ 1.25 extra? $ 10.50?! Last time.

Keep Pastries a Go Go in mind when you want breakfast in downtown Decatur but aren’t in the mood to play parking meter games. Fortunately, Unilocal led me to PAGG and I was stoked see plenty of free parking out front. They share the lot with a CVS and other stores in the plaza. Also, the Decatur MARTA Station is a short walk away. They offer indoor seating(at tables and highboys) in addition to seating outside on their brick patio. I was impressed by the level of friendliness between servers and customers. Based on the bits and pieces of conversation I overheard, I could tell many were regulars. The man at the table behind mine even pulled a Melvin Udall – refusing to be served by anyone except a brunette lady who was on break. Despite the restaurant’s name, they serve up more than pastries. The breakfast menu features Southern favorites like eggs, grits, biscuits and bacon. I ordered a Chocolate Croissant and half order of French Toast and they both hit the spot. I’ve devoured a lot of Chocolate Croissants in my day but theirs might have been the most unique. Instead of having a traditional crescent shape it was rectangular with a blitz of powdered sugar on top.(Yes, its beignet-like appearance made me love it even more.) They baked a generous amount of chocolate into the pastry and it was fresh from the oven. Soft… buttery…easily one of the best I’ve tasted. The Cinnamon Brioche French Toast was good too. The thick slices of bread were nicely coated with the egg batter, resulting in a crispy, pock-marked crust. It was dusted with sugar and served with maple syrup and fresh fruit: bananas, melon, grapes and berries. The fruit was remarkably ripe without any bruises or imperfections. Happy belly! Best of all, I was in and out in less than thirty minutes. I was able to enjoy my meal without having to worry about how much time was left on the meter. The service was friendly and the food was good… so go and enjoy!

Ok first of all I never Unilocal.I personally think it’s just something to make ppl feel important and all the bitter ass ppl in the world a place to vent about nothing. However, this place made me steal my husbands phone to give them their well deserved love. Me and my husband love trying new breakfast places and in the four years being together we have yet to find one that will bring us back until now. From the extremely warm welcome to the amazingly fresh ingredients they use in their food this place is a must try in my book. Well back to eating this awesome Food. Have fun And be kind Unilocalers!

The service was great but the food was bland. The grits tasted too plain and store bought almost watered down. The best thing I had was the eye homemade bread.

One of the best breakfast joints in the city. Pastries A Go Go in Decatur hits the spot every time! The Sticky Buns, The Greek Omelette, The homemade sausage, the list goes on and on. On this trip I had the Sausage Egg and Cheese sandwich on Toast and the Berry Cup. You literally can’t go wrong here. The vibe is always friendly and the service is consistently good.

You want breakfast foods? This place has it for you. My review is only based on weekday takeout, because that is what I did. They open at 7:30AM during the week which is awesome for those who are driving into work. I ordered an egg biscuit and breakfast potatoes side. The biscuit was giant and flaky and buttery goodness. I watched the chef crack the egg and make me a yummy light and delicious egg. The egg was not greasy at all and did not come out of liquid box. It was real! This is a big deal to me since I love me some eggs. The potatoes side was massive! Seriously, it is going to last me 3 days. The potatoes are large chunks cooked with onions and lightly seasoned. Not super greasy either, but have a little crunch to them. I would prefer them a little crispier, but I will just ask next time. Oh, there will be a next time. I got all of this food for under $ 7. That is unheard of! They have these other breakfast potatoes with cheese and veggies that I have had before. These are amazing too!

I have been here lots and lots of time. Servers are excellent — they remember from one time to another what you drink and what condiments you use, plus they are very friendly(but give you lots of space to enjoy your own group’s conversation). The food is yummy, too.

Disappointed in the biscuit that was served to me. The eggs had shells in it, I have never had shells in my eggs at any place! Usually a smaller restaurant performs better than this. I will try again only because of the great location. Keep in mind the kitchen does close at 2:30pm!

Great food and service! Make sure to go early on weekends to avoid the brunch crowd. I always get the traditional southern breakfast and it’s delicious every time!

This was my first visit here. It one of those places that I have passed a hundred times, but never paid it much attention. The server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the traditional breakfast, with over-medium eggs, wheat toast, grits and turkey sausage. The eggs were cooked to my liking. The turkey sausage was some of the best that I have ever had. The grits were way too hot to eat and were not cooked properly. The grits had a coarse gritty texture, instead of being fluffy and creamy. How can a breakfast spot that has been here in the south for years, not have great tasting grits. I am willing to visit again for lunch or baked goods.

I have been here for breakfast and lunch. I love the menu selections for both times and they serve breakfast later then other places. My favorite things is the potato salad. It is tasty and fresh and has a nice spin on the traditional. The outdoor seating is nice and you still get prompt service. The staff is friendly and personal. The desserts are always great too! Warning though ask them if there are any nuts in the cookies before you order one. I think there are one or two that have surprised my friends. I usually get the peanut butter and I’m very happy.

This is our family’s favorite breakfast place. It’s a place for people who like breakfast, not brunch. You want poached emu eggs with a truffle infusion and side of jicama frites? Go somewhere else, ya foodie. You want eggs, grits, home fries, a pile of bacon, and great(Dancing Goats) coffee? This is the place for you, you awesome specimen of humanity, you. They also make the best biscuits in town – other than the ones made by my lovely wife, of course. I ain’t kidding. These are large, barely a crunch on the outside, stick to the roofa yo mouf inside, and tasty – not sweet like you-know-where. Lunch is also top notch; the club sanguiche is my favorite, made like a proper deli counter sanguiche. All choices of sides are great, but the fries stand out. Service is consistently excellent, and the staff are great with the childrens. There’s a parking lot, but it fills up fast, and if you leave the area while you’re waiting for a table, that so-and-so who watches over the lot will have you booted before you can say«bless your heart.»

This is my favorite place to eat brunch! I get their amazing biscuit with egg and cheese, coffee, and, occasionally, one(huge) pancake with blueberries and bananas. The danishes are one of my favorite pastries they offer. Convenient: I love that my brunch experience here doesn’t take up my whole afternoon, as compared to other brunch spots. Even on crowded weekends, the wait is rarely longer than ten minutes. All of the food is fresh and comes out quickly. Atmosphere: The restaurant is on the smaller side, but the tables are comfortably spaced out. I hate when restaurants squeeze as many tables as possible into one area! It’s a very casual, no frills place. Price: The prices are affordable, especially compared to other breakfast spots in the area. Parking: Parking is plentiful and free as the restaurant is in a shopping center.(Don’t let this deter you). Noise: The noise level is average and never gets too loud. Tip: The hostess is behind the counter, which can be hard to see if it’s super crowded up front. Funny/Weird: They have an aquarium near the front. The huge goldfish will follow you/your child if you get it’s attention.

Waitstaff is friendly but the food was subpar. My eggs were cold, watery and undercooked and there was lipstick on my coffee mug. This was a weekday around 10am so it wasn’t really that busy. Also, do restaurants water down condiments, because the hot sauce was weirdly void of color and flavor.

Brunch here is tasty and inexpensive. Very«home cooked» feel. But even better than my breakfast… the Sticky Bun. I don’t know that words really describe how amazing their sticky bun is. It melts in your mouth, sweet, but not overly. Whatever you do, try the sticky bun. You’re welcome… bc you will thank me.

I’ve been twice for breakfast and have really enjoyed it. I tend to keep it simple for breakfast since I’m allergic to eggs, so I ordered bacon, a croissant and coffee both times. Simple and yummy. The croissant is quite the treat with their homemade jam. I could eat them all day. The bacon was tasty, though a little too crisp the second time, and the coffee was fresh and really good. I hesitate to give it 5 stars because of the price. I had to order a la carte and with tip it was quite more than I would like to pay for coffee, bacon and a croissant. However, I’m a sucker for some good pastries and breads, so when I’m ready to drop another $ 10, I’ll go back.

Best. Biscuits. In. Atlanta. Seriously. We have been diving head-first in to Southern Food since relocating here from Los Angeles and we have tried a LOT of biscuits over the past 3 months. Pastries A Go Go have, by far, the best ones. While eating at the restaurant is nice, we prefer to get biscuit sandwiches to go and walk over to the Square and eat them on a park bench while watching the world go by. We have even gotten into the habit of getting a few biscuits to-go. They freeze and reheat wonderfully. Just FYI: While they DO have a nice patio, the patio is NOT dog friendly like the rest of the patios in Decatur are. I wish it was, otherwise we would be here all the time.

Come here for the homemade biscuits, which arrived on our plates literally fresh out of the oven and generous portions. Don’t expect to get two entrees/plates and still be able to split a half order of french toast(which was really good, by the way… dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of fruit), as we attempted in our excessive ambition. The eggs benedict is good too, by the way, if a bit unorthodox: creamy hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs, served on… biscuits, with fried, thinly sliced ham more or less on the side. However, all the flavors work together really well, and the biscuit in particular imparts another level of starchy creaminess that I thoroughly enjoyed. Presentation was a bit lacking, but I don’t mind… and for 8.50 or so(including a side of your choice; I opted for a fruit cup), the food was good enough! Service was all right. A bit curt, but efficient and accurate. We’d come back!
