We went to Rock Bottom because we wanted to replace the carpet in our bedrooms with hardwood flooring. Our experience with Rock Bottom Carpet was ok at best. Dustin in the store was helpful and friendly. He even came out to our house with samples to try and match our existing hardwood. But unfortunately thats were the good experinece stopped and the frustrating part began. The installatiin crew was polite but their attention to detail was severely lacking. They left glue on top of the new floor, they knocked a picture off the wall, broke the frame and never told us. The transition from the bedroom to the living room wood floor was haphazardly put in and we ended having to fix it ourselves. The other transitions from wood to ceramic were jagged and rough looking. We had to call Dustin and complain several time to get them to fix it. They also cut way to high under the door ways so now it looks like an amatur job. Then the trim was not caulked even though Dustin said it was included. The installation guy said first he didnt have any and he would have to come back. When he came back he claimed it wasnt part of the package. Overall if you are looking for a quick job they will do it but you better inspect every area and do not pay them till the job is done correctly. We gave up having them caulk the trim because we figured they would do it wrong anyway. We will just do it ourselves.
