Would give this property 4.5 stars.
This is our second stay, the first being in Sept 2015. The addition and remodeling is done and the place looks very good. Staff friendly.
They have improved the breakfast. Now the breakfast is good to very good.
Same old slo-​o-​o-​w internet. Mbps down clocked at 1.09Mbps and up at 0.59Mbps. Can read your email but not much else. There was a sign in my room about free high speed internet, I did not ask for details.

You won’t find better accommodations anywhere in the Decorah area. The facility is clean and comfortable, the rooms have the kind of luxury that one would never expect to find in Decorah and the staff could not possibly be any more friendly, courteous and helpful. They’re a joy to deal with. The remodeling and, additions that they’ve made to the place have worked out beautifully.
The only factor that held me back from awarding the fifth star was the WiFi service. The wifi here was sometimes slow, sometimes extremely unstable and often times both. Granted, surfing the Internet is not a major priority on vacation but the service is part of what the customer pays for so it’s not unreasonable to expect it to function more reliably than it does presently.

Nicest hotel I have stayed in for a long time!!! Visited Decorah on business and stayed here. Newly remodeled. Rooms are beautiful, clean and updated. Will be back here next time im in town!

This hotel was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. They were extremely flexible and accommodating with the wedding party, allowing room swaps, early check-​ins and late checkouts. They also served warm breakfast everyday and the rooms were nice and clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful… they make me want to go back to visit!

We’re in Decorah a lot to visit the kids and have stayed here a couple times. The staff is super-​friendly and accommodating and seem willing to do anything, within reason, to enhance the customer experience.
The breakfast is good though we’ve only had the oatmeal, fresh fruit, and coffee.
The rooms are clean and comfortable though in 121 the internet connection was slow and would occasionally «freeze» and during our last stay, I had to run to WalMart for an extension cord to plug in our CPAPs as there aren’t many accessible outlets available.
The pool and hot tub areas are great and a big hit with our grand-​daughter!
Kudos to the staff at this Country Inns for excellent customer service!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, warm cookies, decent enough pool area, free breakfast. We’ve always enjoyed our stays. And Mabe’s delivers! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Decorah this hotel is a good bet. Lots to do near-​by too. Be sure to check out the Viking Theatre, or head over to neighboring Cresco and visit the beautifuly restored movie-​house.
