I recently took my 3 year old daughter to Cost Cutters and could not have been happier with the experience.
Kim, her stylist, was so gentle. We had to wait about 30 minutes, but we had no issue with that. My daughter loved to watch the other customers get their hair cut and styled.
Kim did a *great* job and you can’t beat the price — $ 10.95. Oh, and the post-cut lollipop was a nice touch.
It definitely beats driving to Canton to wait forever at Snipits.

My husband and son both go to Cost Cutters-not because of the price, it’s the skill level. They suffer from opposite hair afflictions-my son has too much hair and my husband, too little. Rob holds a dual license as a barber and hairdresser/ethsthetician. He is the master of the men’s hair cut. He uses a barber metal blade on his clippers to get clean, precise lines. He is the only one able to subdue my son’s course hair and cow licks. He also does clean up on the furry bits (ears, neck, etc.) like a custom barber (yes, gentlemen we are talking to you!). You wouldn’t get this in a traditional hair salon. At traditional barber shops we have had to deal with a surly, curmudgeons who only know how to do one haircut «the boy’s regular». Rob is talented, technically skilled and has a wonderful affable personality which makes the entire experience enjoyable.

Went in here once because of a coupon I got in the mail, the place was dead and I got a good, quick haircut for a good price. Came back for round two a month later, the woman butchered my hair, looks absolutely ridiculous and my hair is very simple to deal with (male, 26, clipper on the sides, scissors on the top) will not be going back again

I asked the stylist to cut my hair a certain length. She goes and makes it way too short. I was furious, but still paid and just left, vowing to never go here again. It took my hair a year and a half to get back to HALF of the length that it was.
Find a place with a more competent staff if you’re looking for a place to get your hair cut.

I think it depends on who you get, because on my most recent trip my hair cut didn’t look any different than when I arrived. The stylist actually started cutting away before I even had a chance to tell her what I wanted… For $ 25 I’ll now have to go to a real place, and consider that a sunk cost.

I used to really enjoy this place, the manager in particular is extremely polite and pays close attention to customer service.
However, I received a haircut recently from one of the stylists who was not the most friendly individual. She did not listen to what I wanted — cut my hair shorter that I wanted, gave me choppy layers when I asked for long, and left parts of my hair uneven.
I am now on the look-out for a new salon.

I went in here for a cut today and it was great. Very friendly staff. Quick, efficient and a great price. Even my wife was happy with the job that Danielle did cutting my hair!
