I bought a new style shoe that Clarks just brought out. The store associate was helpful. They did not have my size in black but he offered to ship it to me. Once the transaction was over he announced it would take 5 to 7 days to get the shoes.
I went to my car, checked out my zappos app, find they were the same price and bought them online. They will be delivered in one day and I can wear them this weekend.
I went right back into the store and requested a refund. The store associate got the manager. The manager said I could not get a refund as the transaction was already at the warehouse. He told me I’d have to wait to receive them to get my refund.
A) seems ridiculous that they didn’t have the ability to get me product sooner than 7 days when zappos had them in stock and could ship immediately
B) have shopped frequently since this deer park location opened and always had a nice experience. Til now with this nasty manager.
Pretty high priced shoes for lousy service!

A Great Experience!
I came in here looking for some new shoes for work. I had just taken a middle of the day nap so I was pretty grumpy and unpleasant. From the moment that I walked in to the store the staff was welcoming and upbeat. One of the sales persons came over and asked if she could help. I gave her my patented answer and told her that «I am just looking». She turned it around on me and asked if I would like to have my foot measured. I thought to myself «I have been a size 10 for most of my life so why would I need my foot measured»? I gave in and let her measure my foot anyway. She confirmed what I knew all along. I am a size 10M. It guess that it didn’t hurt to check.
I started looking around for shoes while she left me alone. The moment that I located a couple of shoes that I liked she was right there to retrieve them from the back room. Because they didn’t have one size in a 10M I asked her to let me try a 10−½M. She brought them out and I tried them on. She mentioned that she noticed that the larger size shoe broke and the wrong spot and would not work or be comfortable to wear.
This place may not get you out of a bad mood but it did for me. I ended up getting a nice pair of really good quality work shoes.
