Do not shop here! I bought a pair of $ 217 Ugg boots here for my daughter and three months later they tore. They were not snagged or caught on anything. I went to the store to see if I could exchange them. The cashier told me she couldn’t do anything because the owner wasn’t in the store. I left the boots with them and when I hadn’t received a call back four days later, I decided to contact them. Surprise, surprise the owner was not there. I left a message and waited for a call back. A few hours later the owner called me back and told me there was nothing she could do for me, because we tore them. She didn’t even contact Ugg! When I explained that was not what happened, she was rude and raised her voice to me. While I like to support my local merchants, this is NOT a store you should shop at! The sales team was very rude and not welcoming.

Though I shop there relatively frequently-only because of convenience-I don’t find the sales team particularly welcoming. There’ve been more times than not when I’ve walked in and haven’t been greeted. I don’t think that they’re mean, but more socially awkward when it comes to customer service. Perhaps they could read some books on customer service(take some tips from Disney World). They’re prices are higher than Zappos. That being said, the shoes are comfy and of decent quality, as well as stylish. The clothing is strange.

I didn’t get anything on my first visit, but I liked enough items that I’m sure I’ll be back in the next few weeks to do so real retail research. They some clothing and though it wasn’t really my taste I did enjoy their selection of shoes, many of which are the same big names you’ll see at Nordstrom, only with the rare-er more sought after styles here. They have trendy brands like Uggs, Frye, and Toms, of which I was excited to see some of the cuter styles of their ballet flats, which allude me at Nordstrom. I also took note of some of the ‘older’ brands of shoes like Dansko, Tsubo, and several others. It’s a store I could see myself walking out with a purchase or two and my mom walking out with a zillion things and then some. I was greeted right away by a friendly young girl and I liked that even though I was the only person in the store at time, there was no sales pitch or pressure, which I generally hate. Be back, I will.

The employees are very friendly and helpful. I bought a pair of Dansko boots and will be back to buy shoes and clothes. The store is small, but they have Dansko, Uggs, Smartwool socks, jewelry and clothes.

Never once has anyone greeted me while shopping. The saleswomen talk amongst themselves or just dont pay attention. This happens every time. Congrads, you lost a customer. UPDATE: Also went to the one in Crystal Lake… EXACT same service! Was completely ignored. The only reason I was there was because my mom wanted to stop in… I warned her about this place and we joke about it all the time now. They must go out of their way to hire unfriendly staff.

Beware!!! Return policy is 10 days!!! Nothing posted in the store and nothing said to me when I bought them! I tried to return a $ 268 pair of boots on the 11th day and was told no. I was told to read my receipt for the information on the 10 day return policy — I thought they had to post something in the store??? When I wanted to escalate to talk to one of the owners the girl at the counter had to tell me that they didn’t have time to focus on my return as they were at a shoe show! I was told they would get back to me in a few days. Really? Horrible customer service from the owners — they obviously don’t care about following up with issues!!! And, who has a 10 day return policy? I wouldn’t ever shop there again and will make sure that no one I know does either — not worth the headache when you can get the same things at Nordstroms, get great service and a standard return policy. Also, try to send a complaint on the Bossy Boots website — they don’t even have the contact information on there — they obviously don’t want to hear from their customers.

I was very sad when the store closed in Palatine… But what’s this a newer, brighter, bigger, better store in Kildeer where sales tax is only 7%… Yea!!! Already spent my allowance on cute tops and a new pair of Uggs.(my old pair was really sad!)
