Runway has been my go-to store when I need a little help styling and want to keep up with the trends. I always find the people there to be more than willing to help me! I can just sit in the dressing room and they come to me with ideas I would have never picked out myself! A nice little gem in the North Shore.

I read everyone’s reviews and I understand why people may feel that way. It can be overpriced and some of the people who have worked thee in the past were not friendly. That being said, I have been shopping there for about 10 years. The service is outstanding. I am not one of those people who shop a lot, in fact I hate it… So the couple of times I go in there, Brandi knows me… she immediately starts a dressing room… knows what I like, what will look good on me and my size. What’s more… as I try stuff on if it looks bad. she’s honest. That is hard to find. Service and quality. Ask for their help… they do it well.

After reading all the other comments here I just had to write and say that I went in there and also felt ignored by the staff and uninspired by the overpriced merchandise. After leaving there, I went to Hot Mama in the Glen where they were friendly and bent over backwards to help me. I spent $ 800 there and walked out feeling great! Just goes to show you that it is not up to the customer to make the store work for them, it is up to the sales staff to help the customer.

I agree with all of the other lower rating posts. This place is terrible. The workers there do not greet you and are not helpful at all. In fact they are plan rude. Since they do not offer their help to you, and when you finally ask them for help, they act like you are putting them out. It is their job to help the customer, but they clearly do not do that in that store. I work in retail so I know that sometimes it gets annoying dealing with customers, but I would never act this way towards them because I would get fired. If this staff worked anywhere else and acted the way they did, they would all be fired. I have never felt so insulted and unwelcomed in a store ever. Oh and just a ps I am not overweight, in fact I am in great shape. So they do not just act bitchy towards women who they think would not fit in their clothes, they act bitchy to everyone. I also work in a boutique designer store and we never treat our customers like that ever. I hate this place and will never return to it. To bad for them because I was looking to spend a good deal of money.

This review is far far overdue and in part, a rebuttal to Fairy M. The first time I ever walked into Runway I was 40 pounds heavier and was not what you could refer to as boutique-fit. I was embarrassed to ask for help, but was immediately approached by a smiling face and a, «What brings you in?» I told her I was afraid nothing would fit and she said, «let me help you.» And that she did. I had the Pretty Woman experience. This salesperson talked to me, made me feel like a client not a customer. She found things that worked for me and my budget and pretty much dressed me. She also made me promise to never wear the pants I came into the store in again because they made me look bigger than what I was. She would call me when items I liked would come in, go on sale, or just to check in with me. Every time I come into Runway every woman there greets me with a hello, how are you. Flash forward three years and 40lbs lighter, Becky still dresses me. Now it’s not a question of what fits but what do I want to take home? They are all gracious when I bring my children in and let my daughter help be the fashionista she dreams of being. I love the personal service I get. Not saying White House Black Market isn’t good, I’m sure they’re fine. But They’re no Runway. Sometimes you need to tell people your desires so they can help you to their best abilities instead of expecting them to be able to just read your mind. Just my opinion. I’d give them another chance, though, Fairy M. It’s SO worth being a Pretty Woman.

If you want to risk being treated like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman(the first store she goes to, that is), then this is the store for you. Be prepared, i’m about to flay these people. I walked in last weekend, and the first thing to greet me was a table right in front of me, and you can’t get by it unless you go left or right. There were three saleswomen in the back, and they saw me immediately and said nothing. So, I said hi, and one said hi back with a tone that was very clearly meant to say the opposite. It was the hi you get when you’re the new girl saying hi to the group of popular girls who in no uncertain terms want nothing to do with you. I’m an overweight girl who was wearing her mommy clothes and not her going out for a night with the girls clothes, so I knew immediately what was up here, so I decided to play and see if one of them would be nice to me. They were not. These three girls did nothing but fold clothing on the back table and never once asked me what they could help me with or if I was looking for anything specific or even hello how are you. They ignored me. I made small talk or asked a question, and they didn’t so much as look me in the eye. One girl in high school made a bit of an effort after a minute or so, but the other two girls refused to engage me. It was clear: You are fat, you are uncool, you shouldn’t be seen in our store. Jappy is how someone described these girls, and that certainly covers it, but IMO, it belittles the princesses of the world, as these girls were far worse. I have never in all my life had as much of a Pretty Woman moment as I did this day. How do they know if I have money to spend? If I have friends in high places? If I’m maybe from the Chamber of Commerce and could lend good favor toward their store? They don’t. And as it happens, books should not be judged by their cover, because I did, indeed, have money to spend that day, and I am not, as a matter of fact, what I appeared to have been that day. If you have money to spend on clothing like this place offers, then go somewhere else, there are plenty of places to do that. But if you want to send a message that it’s ok to treat people like their not good enough to spend THEIR money in THIS store, then please, go ahead and continue shopping there. For the record, Runway, I took my money a couple doors down to WHITEHOUSE /BLACK MARKET, and they were FANTASTIC. They were kind and courteous and treated me like a human being. I do hope they continue to bleed you dry of your customers, Runway, because you are unkind, arrogant, and give the north shore a bad name.

Cute clothes but way overpriced. Basically if you’re looking for something last minute and price isn’t an issue, this is a great place. As for me, I’m usually looking for a bargain. They have a huge selection of Michael Stars and a great rack bin in the back for this brand. About $ 20(good deal)

It’s a bit jappy for my taste but when they’re on, they’re on. The sales are pretty good and who ever buys the goods often gets it right. It’s kinda like a treasure hunt; you sift through alot of junk(high priced junk) to find the one nugget of «the coolest thing you’ve ever seen»(also high priced). I just got a pair of the awesomest Billy Blues, wide leg jeans I’ve ever seen. The return policy SUCKSASS; meaning that there isn’t one. Can you imagine? NORETURNSATALL – so be sure you like what you buy otherwise, you’re S-O-L. The sales ladies are jappy, pretentious, fashionista wanna-bes but, they know they’re stuff and will be honest if your ass looks fat in the jeans.

I’m a little confused by this boutique. It’s selection consists of casual track suits, glitzy embellished jackets, and denim. The denim brands are this stores strong suit: Tag jeans, 575, True Religion and more. They have the largest selection of Michael Stars tees around.
