Don’t waste your time or money… ordered to go and everything was fucked and cost over $ 60. Order was correct but everything was undercooked and there Alfredo is equivalent to piss shit combo

Really nice Italian place hidden among the busy Greek Row. My boyfriend and I tried this place out yesterday, the serving staff are very professional. There was a couple behind us, and the man did not like his food, so the waitress went to talk to her boss and they did everything they could to make this man have a good experience by even giving them his meal for free! They start you off with warm garlic roles and a side of olive oil with Parmesan. We avoided appetizers because we wanted to save room for our main entrée and dessert. However, on the menu they had some great options. I got the chicken parm and he got fettuccine Alfredo. It was delicious! I was sad to see that at 6pm on a Friday the place was half empty. I hope that they get increased business. For dessert they gave us this huge slice of chocolate cake. Really good experience I would recommend this place to all. The menu looks like it is expensive but it is worth the price. Also: they give huge portion sizes so be prepared for yummy leftovers!

Fanatico’s is the place to go if you want semi-homemade Italian food!!! I absolutely love their meals, the chicken fanatico is probably the light of my life, however it is kind of oily. Their bread appetizer with the oil is nice but OHMYGOSH they have terrible bartenders! I would spend all my paychecks here if they made drinks correctly. I’ve gone there a few times over a year and every single time my drink is TOO strong. Yes, it’s better than no liquor, but if I wanted vodka on the rocks I would have just ordered that! Take a mixology class bartenders!

I am obsessed with this place. When it comes down to the food, they really know what they’re doing. It is seasoned and well done. The food is ready fast. The chicken Marsala is one of my favorites with the delicious garlic bread. My respect to the chef. Well done. I recommend this place.

Good food with generous portions in beautiful atmosphere for families & date nights. Service times can very depending on the night. On the expensive side but proportions are about 2 – 3 meals worth.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out on a Wednesday night; we both had a hankering for Italian food. We were surprised to find this place hidden in Greek row! The ambience is very nice, with booths and tables, and I was surprised to see a full lit up bar. The drink menu is very diverse and I want to go back for drinks sometime because we did not order any this particular night . They serve you fresh hot rolls with a garlic oil sauce and cheese on the top which were very tasty. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was VERY good! I especially liked their marinara sauce they served with it. He ordered the baked ziti and I ordered the chicken parm. We were both very satisfied with how are meals tasted, and the portions are HUGE! The only reason for a 4 stars is because my chicken was slightly over cooked and a little tough, but I would much rather have over cooked than undercooked chicken :) Our server was very nice and prompt. We will definitely be back in the near future!

Fanatico is by far the best restaurant AND bar in dekalb! The food is amazing, The portions are huge and the prices are affordable enough for college students. As soon as you walk in you will realize it is the classiest place in Dekalb. The wait staff are clean good looking people with personalities to match. They know what wines to pair with each dish and they have a huge variety of choices. My favorite park is the led lit bar and the beer garden fire place. Ask for Simo, he’ll take care of you! Enjoy

Went as a party of 6(3 couples). Service was lackluster(water glasses empty, wine glasses empty and waited quite a while for another drink). No salad comes with dinner(odd). Food quality was average. Everyone said their food was«fine» but I sensed we all thought«adequate». Wasn’t offered dessert or coffee at the end of the meal. Our college-aged waitress seemed more interested in talking to her friends(other staff). This is an Italian restaurant; the wine service should’ve been flowing and I should be raving about the food. I think all of us were disappointed. I don’t think I’ll give them another chance as there wasn’t one redeeming quality to entice me to do so.

Good Italian food. Very good chicken Marsala. Calamari is the best. Deserts are the standard variety. Full bar service and ample parking.

The garlic knots/rolls are simpy awesome, and way too easy to fill up on. I think the pizza here is great. Crispy yet chewy crust, nice and thin. Reminds me of my favortie pizza shop I grew up eating at on the east coast. The décor is quite nice, and this is not the type of place I’d expect to be so close to Greek Row. The staff are very polite and respectful.

We sat at the bar and ordered a Cesar salad and the sausage Parmesan. Food was great, the service was exceptional, and the price matched to what we received. I cannot complain about anything.

The rolls were rubbery like a bouncing ball, the gnocci was not good at all… I do not recommend this place. The price was way too much, only good thing I could say is that bruschetta tasted like the Salsa at Jewel-Osco so I will go back to the grocery store and toast my own bread for way less.

Can’t go wrong with this authentic Italian cuisine! I can’t say anything bad about this place. The service is always 100% attentive to you and your guests. Also, I was thinking about having my wedding reception there and found out they have an entire private area in the basement! I was able to take a tour and it’s absolutely perfect(separate bar, tv, my own music choice or a DJ area, separate restrooms, and plenty seating)! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

This was my first time there and I was so impressed! We had a party of 11, and had reservations, and the waitstaff attended to us the entire time. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. I ordered the pasta primevera and it was perfect. The pasta was aldente and the sauce was sublime. Everyone in our party was happy with their entrée and their prices are extremely resonable.

This is the only good Italian restaurant in DeKalb! Their pasta’s are absolutely delicious! Ordered take out from here a bunch of times. Their lasagna is creamy and really well cooked! I remember ordering a shrimp entrée which is extremely well made. Good choices on sides. Their potato wedges are yum! Their salads lack a lil flavor. Why am I cutting off a star? I’ve had much better Italian food outside of DeKalb. I still haven’t tried their house pizza’s yet which I’ve heard are great. I’ll update this review once I order from here again. Ambience is good. Nothing spectacular. Friendly staff. No problems there! They’re expensive though! Most of their pizza’s and other good entrées are upwards of 15 dollars! This could be one of those places where you can visit a couple of times a month! Must try. In DeKalb at least!

My experience seems to be at odds with other reviewers. When I walked in the cool was having a drink at the bar – already not a good sign. I ordered some kind of salad and the greens were completely coated in oil from giardinara that topped it. I got chicken that was«in a creamy lemon sauce.» What I got was a fried chicken cutlet drowning in a thin sauce that tasted like powdered chicken broth and fake lemon juice. My dining partner ordered a pasta dish consisting of bland, slightly overcooked pasta with generic canned red sauce. To top it off the bill was nearly 40 dollars. The décor is a bit odd as well; it tried to make itself seen like upscale dining, but there are televisions everywhere and the bar looks like a holdover from the previous business(a tequila bar). This restaurant is just another reason for me to stay away from Greek row.

I have been to Fanatico twice now and I have loved my experiences both times. I was so surprised this place existed on Blackhawk! I learned about it from a friend and as I drove down the street, it just seemed like it was plopped out of nowhere! What a great location for hungry college students. The outdoor seating area is nice. It would be perfect for great summer evenings with a light breeze. I ordered the Baked Ziti the first time and it was delicious. The second visit I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and it was one of the best meals I have eaten. Their salad is delicious; it consists of tomatoes, giardiniera, black olives, a giant green olive, cucumbers, and roasted red pepper. I ordered it with the house dressing, which is spectacular(a balsamic vinaigrette — my friend wishes they sell it in mass quantities). The bread is delicious! They offer garlic rolls and large breadstick shaped rolls. The wine prices vary between $ 6.50 and $ 8.00 a glass. I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio. Besa was an excellent waitress. She was very nice and made sure she checked in on us at appropriate amount of times ensuring our experience was satisfactory. She gave us some tips about the sangria and explained some of the food dishes, which was helpful. She also remembered me from my first visit and thanked me for coming again. Overall, I love this place. When I think of a nice restaurant to go to, this is my first choice.

Four stars for food &3 for ambience. The Reviews pointed us to Fanatico and they were on the money. Excellent food and service this evening, on our first visit! Warm selection of rolls to start with olive oil & Parmesan. «Mixed salad for two» family style, was outstanding and more than above average.(green & black olives, greens, marinated red peppers, sweet sport peppers, gairdinaire(sic)) Chicken rollitillas(sic) w/Marsala sauce was outstanding. Likewise, my wife’s Veal Marsala was superb… plus, more than could safely be consumed. Finally, the Tiramisu was so tasty and creamy. Our service was exceptional with Angie as our waitress, knowledgeable & personable. Wonderful experience!

Decent. Nothing fabulous. For DeKalb, this place is without a doubt five stars. Dinner is well-priced with your option of spaghetti or a salad. The pasta dishes are delicious. The lasagna was flavorful. It was not soggy or overcooked. I close the Chicken Francese which was just a little too sour. The lemon in the sauce was overpowering. I ordered the salad which was good but nothing special. The pasta option was awful. Bland, boring, just not good enough as a side. The service was a little slow. We were the only people in our section. We were a table of 7 on graduation day. We kept having to seek our servers for service.
