It’s been awhile since I’ve had it, but Pagliai’s used to be awesome and I used to get it all the time! It was the best value pizza deal that you could order at NIU when I went to school there.

The only reason I’m giving them 1 star is because they cut the pizza in squares as opposed to pie cut, which is what all the other pizza places in Dekalb seem to do. The pizza was greasy, and bland, and real stingy on the 3 toppings we ordered for our pizza. I mean come on, I could count on 1 hand how many mushrooms I had. The same went for the green peppers and tomatoes. And don’t get me started on the cinnamon nuggets which came with marinara or pizza sauce on the side? I alway thought you were supposed to get a sweet frosting to dip said nuggets! I think I’ll just stick to Digiornos in the frozen food section of the supermarket. It’s wayyyy better than this place!

I’m a little bitter because I was absolutely craving deep dish pizza one night and dedcided to try a new place… Pagliai’s. After an hour of waiting… they deliver me a teeny tiny thin crust pizza. It was pretty ehhh tasting, probably because I was craving deep dish. How do they mix the two up? I will give it another chance one day. The pizza was okay.

Man I’m old! I never thought this place would still be around to make it onto Unilocal. We would go all night and order pizza from here or beer nuggets after along night of taking care of our livers. It was the best cheap pizza in DeKalb when I went to school at NIU. I’m sure we pissed off some of the deliverers or even the receptionist at 2:00 am on a Friday or Saturday night. But then again it could’ve been any night ending with«y’. They even had this all you could eat deal during the week on like Wednesdays I think. It’s bringing back some memories but I can’t recall a lot of those either.

Good«Chicago style» thin crust pizza. Reminds me of home more than anything else in town. Little bit salty but the crust us crisp and the pizza has good flavor. Delivery is quick and the people seem friendly. They don’t even mind that nobody can pronounce the name properly

Everyone’s been drinking all night and suddenly, people start to get hungry. Who do you call? Pagliai’s! It’s like $ 5 to get a large pizza delivered. It’s not the best pizza, but it’s cheap.

As I make my way through the pizza places of DeKalb, I must say that thus far Pagliai’s is probably my favorite. I’ve only had it a few times, but a great deal of the pizza in the area is not all that great. Pagliai’s is probably the only place I’ll ever go back to.

Most people that attended NIU have had Pagliai’s Pizza, aka«Pag’s». Pag’s had a daily delivery special. You could get a large cheese pizza for like $ 3.99 plus a buck for delivery. When funds were low and you wanted some cheap decent ‘za, a Pag’s pizza did the trick. Nothing fancy nor to write home about, call Pag’s. A friend of mine delivered pizzas for Pag’s. He was always high! Another dude used to bring us pizzas for like a buck or 2 as long as we’d have him in the apartment for a couple beers. Ahhh, the good ol’ days…
