Someone told me that Stadium Club is closed. Please!!! Say it ain’t so!!! In college, this is where we watched college and pro sports games. We’d order their amazing large pizza(like $ 7 with a topping) and pitcher after pitcher of beer($ 3 a pop). Yes, cheap, but it was college and we were poor(er). The pizza crust was non paper-thin like Marie’s, D’Agostino’s or Pat’s. It was a little thicker, but not nasty, flavorless and doughy like Giordano’s thin crust is. Said crust was crispy flakey, the sauce not too sweet and the cheese cooked just right so it’s a touch browned, but not well-done. The atmosphere was pretty simple. Stadium Club was quite large and could house quite a crowd, but it never got crowded where you couldn’t move. The ceilings were very high, almost barn-like. You could shoot free throws at the indoor basketball hoop, play darts and I think there were pool tables in the back. I miss this place. And yes, I’m aware I’ve been writing in the past tense here. Yes, it’s closed. Stadium Club, I miss you!
