Baymont Inn And Suites Dekalb

If there was a zero star, I would pick it. Stains everywhere. The floor, the chair, the bed, and the pillows. Not to mention the stink. Definitely the worst hotel in Dekalb. The only way I would recommend anyone to stay here if you love sleeping with bugs, mysterious stains on your bed, and mold growing on the window. My family and I didn’t even spend the night it was so gross. We ended up driving home and driving back in the morning for our event. I have no clue how this hotel is affiliated any way with the wyndham resorts. The only way my family and I got a refund from our short stay is when we treated to call the Heath inspector. Officially discussed.

We booked a room here to stay a night for a wrestling tournament at the convention center. But when we arrived it was hard to check in because no one was working the front desk. Then we went up the stair well and there was puked just siting there on the stairs! Also when we walked into our room their was old rotten dry puke sitting there! Then the beds had poop and semen stains on the sheets! Also mold around the window! And bugs in the bathroom. We left right away and demanded a refund.

I would give them a 0 star if I could. I booked a room over a month in advance for the night of Oct 24^th to stay after NIU’s Homecoming festivities, and when I got there to check in, the lady at the check in counter told me that the room was cancelled. I asked her how that is even possible to which she replied it was ‘Cancelled by the internet’… What does that even mean? and how the hell does it happen? The hotel was apparently completely booked. I had called the night before to see if I can do an early check-​in and the gentleman who helped me on the phone was able to pull up my reservation. (I forgot to mention this detail in the Wyndam survey I just submitted because it slipped my mind) The lady then offered me a room. It was a suite. My original reservation cost was $ 80. So she offered me a suite which apparantly was $ 149 for $ 109 (the regular price for a room that day). There were 2 suites available. I was told that i have a choice of an uncleaned suite (The sheets and used towels from the last stay were still there and I was asked to change the sheets myself) for the $ 109 or I would have to pay the regular price for the clean suite. The reason that i booked so far in advance is because i knew that it was homecoming weekend and there would be no room availability. I am also cost conscious. For this being my first stay at a Wyndam location, this has been a terrible experience. I am leaving this review on Unilocal and Google because I had no choice but to take the room for a higher price and walked into a suite that was not even cleaned. This experience is the worst stay I have ever had in a hotel before. I should have checked before hand.

Let’s say that most things were on the dirty side. Sheets, pillows, floor, curtains, towels, and any flat surface, all dirty, dis colored, or destroyed.

We went to this hotel for a MS Ride in DeKalb that’s held yearly. The staff was uncooperative and rude. A friend asked for an extra pillow and was told they didn’t have any! AT A HOTEL? Money was stolen from our room and the manager was horrible and not helpfull in the LEAST. Police were involved and the police knew of the women who had taken the money, they’d had trouble with her before. So WHY was she working at this hotel with access to other’s personal property? I will NEVER stay at a Baymont Inn again and hope others don’t stay here as well.

This hotel is gross. I felt dirty just being in there. Dimly lit and smelling just bad everywhere. Anything would be better than staying here… anything.

Not recommended. Water pressure in the shower VERY low; some cleanliness issues; TV channels have no bearing to the motels listing of same, and it’s right next to a heavily traveled railroad line.
