Okay the food is delicious but GET A GDSTAFF!!! The poor girls every time I go in there have to run the whole place while the creepy old guy walks around in circles asking them dumb questions. Get them help. Sh*t I feel so guilty seeing them that I would work there!!!

Ok joint. Slow service. Prices high for the area and compared to food quality. Good music. Floors are dirty. Good selection of board games and puzzles to play.

Amazing burger place! They have really great French fries too, and their burgers are the best. I usually get the Huskie burger which has an egg on top which I love. The workers are very friendly, the food is food, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Only place we go for a burger:)

My husband and I both had the Texan burger today. It was juicy and flavorful. The bacon was nice and thick and cooked just right. The fries are delish. The owner(I assume) took our order and was very friendly. Our food came in a timely manner. There is a bacon brie apple burger in Winfield illinois… best burger I’ve ever had. I bet this joint would do a good job recreating that burger.(Hint hint)

It’s been a couple years since I’ve been to the huddle because I was so disappointed in how long it takes to get your food. I returned today to give them another chance and I still waited over 20 minutes for 1 burger with no sides. If the burger had been good, I would have been alright with waiting that long. But instead, it was so over cooked, I felt like I was eating the sole of a rubber flip flop. I won’t be back; not worth my time or money.

Best burger and fries I ever had. Have been trying to look for better burgers and fries, but nope.

Food is great I have tried calling the past half-hour to place an order and have had no one pick up and on the 3rd call got sent to voicemail in two rings… might be time to hire someone who wants to pick up the phone to take orders! I get food you get money…

Can see it becoming a «must try» hidden treasure when visiting NIU. The burgers are big and flavorful. Fries are fresh cut. It costs almost double for a meal than the neighboring McDonalds, but it is much better and worth the difference. Not a fancy place, but a nice change of pace from the other eateries in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Pretty good burgers, although they lean on the dry side. Mozzarella sticks are delicious.

Low key hamburger joint at the end of a strip mall in a college town. But that said, this is one of the best«low key hamburger joints at the end of a strip mall in a college town» I have been to! My daughter was taking placements exam at NIU and ended up eating here. No one else there. Fantastic service of course! Texan burger lived up to its name: big, I mean really big, with bbq and bacon. Music was a little loud for my taste. It may seem seedy from the outside but give it a try.

The food was just okay. Honestly not too far above fast food. There were hardly any condiments or toppings on the burgers, and the patties were very thin. Both burgers cooked to medium well even though they were ordered medium rare. The fries were bland and squishy. Don’t know if I would order from them again.

Each time I’ve ordered from the Huddle, I’ve ordered something different, and each time I’ve been pleasantly surprised. First thing I ordered was a hot dog. No big deal, but good. I also ordered a burger, and it was well cooked and juicy, and wasn’t just a thin burnt patty. Another time I ordered the Mediterranean wrap. I wasn’t expecting it to be that great, usually restaurants like this use crappy iceberg lettuce. Surprisingly it was actually good. The wrap was multigrain, and the ingredients were of good quality. Sure it may not be a $ 5 burger, but I’d rather pay the extra two bucks for their food, especially when the products are good. Also, they deliver, and they are under 30 mins each time! And their minimum is only $ 7! Definitely one of my favorites around town.

So let’s just start by saying that this place is located right next to NIU and food expectations aren’t the same as to what you would find closer to Chicago. That being said, the burgers here are great, I mean, really really great. I personally like the Hi-5 burger which has a nice spiciness to it and great flavor. The fries, I am not crazy about. They are kind of soft and over cooked. I would really say that for being in DeKalb, the burgers are pretty killer. When writing a review you have to really take into account where it’s located. You have plenty of places in DeKalb where you can order a burger and this one is my #1 pick.

I only went in for a bubble tea, but it was actually a smoothie which is fine with me but WOW, WAYYY to much sugar in that thing, and the tapioca was frozen, stuck together, hard, cold, and covered in mysterious black liquid. I also went in again with my roommate who ordered a hot dog and fries. Overpriced and tasted mediocre at best is what he said, never going back again for both of us. They are pretty overpriced for food that seems close to fast food.

Just Ok. I have never had The Huddle before and have been trying new places around the area. I ordered delivery on a Saturday night. The delivery was fairly slow, but being a Saturday night I’ll forgive that. I ordered the a burger with fries and also we had the Falafel wrap. The burger was decent, but nothing to rush out for, however, the fries were both overcooked and soggy/limp at the same time. I’m not sure how that’s even possible. The Falafel had good enough flavor but was so over fried it was drier than the sahara! Overall not too bad but not worth going out of your way over.

Pre-cooked burgers are rubbery and gross. And they do not care what condiments you ask for. They always smother the burger in ketchup and mustard even if you ask for it without that. Every time we have gone there we get a burger with stuff on it we don’t like. If that wasn’t bad enough, the fries are gross. Plus you will wait a reeeeeally long time for your crappy food! Do not eat here!

On my first visit here the burger was fresh and very flavorful. I returned with my wife to share what I hoped would be another great burger. Unfortunately this experience was bad. I should have known better when the cook went over to the counter and removed a plate loosely covering a pile of pre-cooked hamburgers. I expressed my disdain and asked if that’s how they prepare their burgers. He said that they cook them half way then reheat. I should have insisted upon a fresh burger. As one would expect the warmed over burger was rubbery and over cooked. To top it all off the French fries were way over cooked.

I went back to the huddle. Like usual great food. The service was a bit faster. I have just accepted that going to the Huddle takes a few extra minutes. I am not going to pass it up, I love their food.

I had visited this place in its previous reincarnation as Big Wrap Daddy’s, and was less than impressed. The Huddle, however, is an improvement. The décor actually had some thought put into it to create a coherent, coffee-shop-esque vibe. There’s even a nice couch area in the back where you can go to chat with friends. Although the new owners had to work within the existing framework, they certainly put effort into making it better. The new menu is somewhat schizophrenic, including dishes like falafel, Mediterranean soup, chili, and bubble tea. I’ve only had the tea, which was delicious and came in many varieties. A friend recommends the soup as well. The owner was friendly, helpful, and patient when us gals accidentally chatted past closing time. Though I wouldn’t call it a culinary piece de resistance of DeKalb, The Huddle is a solid choice for a quick bite or lingering bubble tea break, even if it can’t quite shake the grease smells from their former tenants.
